I did not understand the popularity of this institution. A roadside cafe that works mainly for takeaway. It's hard to find it the first time. It is located right on the highway. The service is mediocre. Cutlery and a toilet are a luxury here. Definitely not here for that. Boats are like boats.. nothing special. I only liked the mosaic wall

The only place in new Athos where you can eat and where it is delicious, but if you come during lunch or dinner, you will be ready to wait for khachapuri from 40 minutes to an hour. In 4 days we were in 10 different places, that's how bad everything is in new Athos with food.

It's a very atmospheric place. Delicious boats! The only thing is that sometimes you have to wait a long time. I ate here in 2015, remembered about this place and found it in 2022. The boats are big. They took 2 pieces for me and 2 children, they couldn't handle it. One boat would be enough for us.

ATTENTION - I did not lower my rating for the wonderful excellent khachapuri (everything was expected to be perfect here).
When buying wine may2023 ( and refusing to "do you want homemade"), they took BOTTLED packaged factory wine - but received a counterfeit - the neck shirt is not factory, the cork is a shifter (impregnated with wine on both sides) 🤦♂️😅 in short, a DECEPTION. The wine tasted good, pleasant and was drunk out of a good mood after tasting. But - the DECEPTION was in fact hidden behind a fake under the "factory".
Just keep in mind🤷♂️

I love such places , they have remained in very small numbers in a once huge country. Simply , without gloss and pathos , you can go in and eat the famous boats . The recipe has been spoken since those times , baked in a wood - burning oven , the size is impressive. Yummy! We take egg boats and Sukhumi lemonade . Nothing else is needed for happiness.

We always come here for freshly baked Khachapuri in Ajarian style. They do everything in the oven. There is a lot of cheese. The crust is crunchy. There are both big and small ones. It's a pity that there are no cardboard boxes to take with you.

But I found the taste bland, and the dough and the filling. Huge khachapuri in themselves. The main disadvantage is that the egg is added entirely and these egg snot is obtained from a protein that does not have time to curdle.
It seems to me that there is something tastier in Athos than khachapuri!

The taste is unsuccessful: the dough is tasteless, there is little filling, in the edges of the "boat", unlike in St. Petersburg, there is no cheese. I do not recommend it.

I don't understand why they give 5 stars. Probably the locals have increased the rating. But this is just the window from which the order is issued. The shops are from the past, as is the whole interior. The seller works WITHOUT GLOVES. First he takes the money with his bare hands, then he goes to do something, then he takes your order with them and puts it on a plate. I waited for the order for 20 minutes and watched this picture all the time. That is, no hygiene rules are followed.
In general, it is delicious, I will not say that it is inexpensive.
