A chamber, home museum dedicated to the national artist Valenti Vankovich, who was born at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The museum staff is attentive and helpful. Ladies love their museum, their Belarusian artist and give this love to visitors. The museum has a small portrait gallery, unfortunately not represented by authentic works of the artist, but very pretty. Go to the museum, lost in the alleys of the old town. It's very atmospheric. I am sure you will not remain indifferent.
The house-museum of the Vankovich family, in particular the artist Valenti Vankovich. Inside there is an interesting exposition, paintings, household and interior items.
The staff is very polite.
We were additionally shown a short film about the artist Valenti Vankovich.
Tellingly, few people in Belarus know him, but examples of his works are presented in many museums around the world...
A very small and cozy museum. The museum staff will be happy to tell you about the history of its creation, take you through all the halls and pay attention to the most interesting exhibits. Visit, you will not regret it.
A wonderful team, a good museum, the guide is a really cool person. The guy really understands the topic, it's very interesting to conduct a tour. There are souvenirs, master classes are held.
We visited the museum with children today. Just charmed! The place is very atmospheric, lovingly arranged and inspected. The guide Suprun Alexey is not only a professional, but a very enthusiastic person, he simply charges with his enthusiasm, conducts the tour in the form of a dialogue, stimulating the cognitive activity of the tourists, which is especially important for children. Very interesting, very emotional! And in general, it is immediately clear that for the museum staff this is not just a place of work. We learned that exhibitions are held in the museum, the expositions change regularly and this is an additional reason to visit this place again and again) Thank you very much, you have decorated our day today) Good luck to everyone!
A nice and beautiful museum, cozy and intimate. Polite and friendly staff, although we did not have a tour, but a museum employee took us through the back, told us something about the exhibits. In short, the most pleasant impression remained!
It's a strange place. For someone's museum. If only as a simple abstract place of residence and the history of local life of the 19th century. I think not only 99.9999% of the world's population, but also Belarusians themselves, do not know who these Vankovichi are before and without this "museum". An artist whose works do not exist in Belarus. Who himself spoke either Polish or French, did not know Belarusian, practically did not live here, and died in France. Either a nobleman, or a nobleman (according to Russian laws). But definitely not Belarusian or Russian. I admired Napoleon and his politics. He held anti-Russian views. It seems that the figures of local culture and history themselves adhere to his views - like, Belarus is more a part of the historical republics and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth than Russia, was and is. They proudly talk about the "revolution of 1830", which was admired by both Vankovichi and Mickiewicz. I didn't even understand it right away. It turns out to be about the Warsaw Gentry uprising. Suppressed, by the way, not without the help of a commoner who rebelled against his own "revolutionaries"!!! Then it turns out that all their unsuccessful attempts at rebellion and unrest were "revolutions". In general, I was disappointed - the situation has been similar for the last 20-30 years in the historical and cultural "scientific" environment of the independent - an alternative Russian and Soviet history was forged, focused on the "civilized" gentry-democratic neighbors, and not on the "barbaric" orcs from the east. Unfortunately, this cannot lead to anything good. In combination with the artificial planting of the local dialect, which sounds exclusively on State TV and radio and in the Subway (all the inscriptions in Russian have disappeared there, but there is a western Latin alphabet - - instead of Oktyabrskaya station, KASTRYNICHSKAYA is now in Minsk - even I, who freely understand and speak mov and (because of this) 99% in Belarusian - I got lost in their subway, not finding Oktyabrskaya inside, which is indicated even on the maps, but finding a "new" station missing from almost all resources (((
A very interesting tour. Alexey was our guide. This man really knows how to attract. The hour flew by unnoticed. Moreover, the price is ridiculous: 3p - children's ticket, 6p - adult ticket. I want to come back again to watch the second part of the exhibition.
Thank you for the individual tour conducted by the researcher! The story was exciting and interesting!

It is a chamber museum, but it is clear that it was created with love for this museum. I would like to mention the guide separately. I really enjoyed talking with him and the tour itself. Even after a few days, I am pleasantly impressed by the tour. Be sure to take a tour of this museum, you will see this house with completely different eyes.
An interesting museum, we are glad that we came and got acquainted with the history of the Vankovich family and its brightest representatives. We recommend taking a guided tour. A charming place in Minsk.

A magnificent historical place, equipped for a restaurant complex! Delegations from all over the world are happy to visit this estate! Excellent cuisine, attentive staff and administration, wonderful experience!
On July 21, 2022, together with a group of veterans of pedagogical work from the city of Bobruisk, they visited the Vankovich Museum. We thank the wonderful guide Alexey for an interesting tour, intelligence, kind attitude and a great desire to convey information about the Vankovich family in an interactive form. We were fascinated by his style of communication and the wealth of knowledge about the history of our country and Minsk..We wish Alexey success, and the museum a replenishment of the exposition..
We were on an excursion, the impression is sad. The museum is very modest, mostly replicas, although the overall atmosphere is created with love. But at the same time, listening to an employee of the museum, a young girl, it seems that she is trying to suck her personal identity out of her finger using the exposition. And in general, he behaves aggressively. It looks pathetic. However, this does not apply to other museum staff, they are competent and friendly. I would like to wish the museum prosperity, a great idea with a "children's" exhibition of paintings from the storerooms of various museums. I can only recommend it if you pass by.
I went with my class to this museum, on a quest. I have good impressions! We came across a good young man who led a quest for us. We passed the quest with interest, and learned a couple of interesting facts there.
But it's a bit of a shame that little time was given to examine the rooms, and there were interesting little things that needed separate attention (they were not allowed to take pictures. And the room was terribly stuffy.
That for the sake of interest, your horizons and knowledge, you can go there) They even sell souvenirs in the form of postcards, magnets, etc.
I have been to the museum only once, but I have enough impressions left to return there again. And even invite friends with you. I agree that everything depends on the personality of the guide. Alexey Anatolyevich Sukhan conducted an excursion with us. Two hours flew by unnoticed! And although we were tired of wandering around the halls of the museum a little, but no one had the desire to leave the group and leave earlier. See you soon at the museum!
A nice house, restored from former communal apartments, no visitors, one Belarusian ruble for photography, cute female staff, as if from the same era as the artist Vankevich....
We did not get to the day of free museums. Either it was closed. Either they didn't find the entrance. They approached the hut from behind and from the front, but not a single door gave way (((

I liked the museum, everything is nice and the staff was very pleased
A big plus is that the young man conducted the tour, even though there were only two of us :)
The museum is quite interesting. I was in it with the children 2 times. I was just delighted with the first tour. The guide was amazing. I was able to interest the children, get them to talk, they answered questions. We learned a lot about the Vankovich family.
The second time was recently-wasted time. The tour is not interesting, the guide, perhaps due to her young age, could not find a common language with the children, they told almost nothing about the family.
So a visit to the museum depends very much on who is conducting the tour.
