The opera is known all over the world and is simply majestic! The building, the interiors, the production, the artists, the music are magnificent... A place to enjoy music and get unforgettable impressions from the fabulous atmosphere of the theater, of course, if you are an opera lover and connoisseur. You can get there quite inexpensively-a few euros of standing places. The queue for them is big, it's better to take them early. Cash register from the left end of the building. The seats are quite decent, everything is visible and audible, there is a small support shelf, a screen with subtitles for each guest. In general, not bad!
There are no big requirements for the dress code. Not ripped jeans, of course, but a tailcoat, velvet, furs, diamonds are not required at all))
The delight is 5 years long. We visited Vienna in 2018, somehow everyone went around the magnificent Austria. The power of ancient architecture, the splendor of collections in museums, the atmosphere of dignity and solidity of the Vienna State Opera, not to be confused with pathos. I hope to visit the fabulous Vienna more than once.
Vienna is beautiful in itself, the theater is pompous, beautiful inside and out. I was pleased with the curtain with the image of a camel. They gave Verdi "Simon Bocanegra", the audience is very grateful, even unnecessarily, the servants of the theater are not very friendly and harshly, hissing loudly, deal with violators with phones.
And how good Dmitry Hvorostovsky was in the role of Bocanegra! An unattainable height! Unfortunately, this is not the case here.
A distorted story. No space.
Also, the rules are wild - I left the box during the performance, they won't let me go back to the finish line, only they will take me up to the screen to watch. And in the box in summer the heat is unbearable, they save on air conditioners, so you want to go out into a cooler corridor.

Few people know, but if for some reason you did not buy tickets in advance, you have the opportunity to buy tickets to the standing stalls on the day of the performance. Tickets there begin to be sold three hours before the start at a special box office at the back of the theater. The price is 6 euros per ticket. The number of tickets is limited and if you want to get in, then you need to take a queue in advance.
In 2014, another dream came true - I came to Vienna, the capital of Austria, first of all I got to the center, and also approached one of the most beautiful buildings - the Vienna Opera Building, one of the most important opera centers in the world.
Since 1869, productions based on the works of great composers have been staged here: Mozart, Verdi, Beethoven, Strauss...
I do not have enough words to describe the classic interiors, the rich purple color of the armchairs, the bowl of the amphitheater, the crystal chandelier, the murals of the lobbies. Orchestra pit for 110 musicians!
Classic, in a word. I am absolutely delighted that I was allowed to go to the opera in the afternoon, since, unfortunately, there was no other time.
I went straight from the opera to the Winter Garden Cafe, which I will tell you about in the next essay. Well, I will definitely get to the Opera, but the lockdowns will end first.
It is one of the three best-sounding opera houses. The business card of Vienna. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. The first rows start from 300 euros. The further away the cheaper it is. The cheapest from 10 euros
The divine theater. I was at the opera The Cavalier of the Rose. It took a long time to find the wardrobe, it turns out to be located on the floor where you are sitting. Of course, I did not spend 200 €, I took a little bit cheaper. The orchestra is the best.
A good repertoire, there are always places. As a last resort, you can buy from resellers near the opera. The building itself is very beautiful both from the outside and from the inside. In general, when visiting Vienna, it is necessary to go to the opera.
An amazing structure both inside and outside.
If you want to visit the opera/ballet, buy tickets for the off.the opera's website in advance. It will be cheaper. The halls are always full.
There are a lot of restaurants and buffets inside. The comfort in the hall and in the building is at a height.
A gorgeous historical building. It's very beautiful. In the hall, each chair is equipped with a media player where you can watch the program of the performance and other information.
The aura in this theater is very good, and the performances are on the level. And it's also like the center of Vienna, all roads lead here, excursions start from here... The square near the theater is a place where it is pleasant to be.
We always visit under the artists. Unfortunately, the level has decreased recently and very much. M.B. the arrival of a new quartermaster will change something. We take the ground floor, it is expensive, but convenient, and yes, always in advance, including by pre-order
What can you say about the Vienna Opera? It's a miracle. Sometimes performances are broadcast online on the facade of the building and then there is "nowhere to fall" nearby)
Future visitors! Please note that if you have seats in the box, then you do not need a wardrobe. The hangers are right in your box. Don't waste time queuing in the cloakroom.
The interior and the voices are beautiful. But on the curtain there is an image of a Trojan horse (who would have thought that it was him???) - It's a nightmare...
If you are in Vienna, don't be lazy to get inside! Brilliance and luxury! Moreover, you can take a standing room ticket on the day of the performance for only 3 euros.
