A good chamber hotel, great location, everything is nearby within walking distance: Cleopatra beach, Damlatash cave, lift to Alanya fortress, port, lighthouse, shops, cafes, pharmacies.
The room was booked as a suite with a balcony, two-room. However, I had to shake my license to get there. Initially, an employee at the reception settled us in the basement, in a dark, damp room with a view of the garden. And on the blue eye he claimed that we had booked the standard. He (and no one at the hotel) speaks or understands Russian, English is bad, I had to communicate in Turkish using a Yandex translator. As a result, after presenting the voucher, we were reluctantly accommodated in a panoramic suite. The room there is much better and brighter.
A big plus is that the room is equipped with a kitchen. There are all utensils, appliances, a kettle and a refrigerator. You can cook simple dishes.
Cleaning is daily, towels and linen are changed regularly.
There are two small pools, but with the onset of heat there were no free sun loungers, citizens of Poland and Germany spent the whole day there. So we went swimming only on the sea, the benefit of the gorgeous Cleopatra beach is just a stone's throw away.
Another nuance: there are many cats of all ages and colors in the hotel, they easily enter rooms on the ground floors, meow and scratch at the doors. If you are allergic to cats, keep this in mind.
In principle, I can recommend this hotel, good price/quality ratio. But make sure that the room category matches the one you paid for.
We stayed for two nights. The room was given better than booked. In the next building with a separate entrance from the street. Breakfast is quite normal.
The hotel is not very new, but everything is in working order.
Questions at the reception are resolved quickly.
The hotel is on a hill, the streets are quite narrow, but you can find a place to park. The sea is not far away, shops, restaurants are also within walking distance.
If desired, you can walk to the fortress or go down to the funicular.
In general, a normal option for your money.
We were looking for an inexpensive hotel for the night, as we were passing through and the time was late, according to the rating of tourists, we chose this hotel. The price turned out to be expensive for this hotel. In November 2024, 4,500 rubles were given per night. The breakfast is bad, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives and cereal with cold milk. They couldn't even fry an omelet, they turned everything into a flat dried flatbread. Bed linen and towels are an unpleasant gray washed color. It is located somewhere on the mountain, if you don't have a car, you probably won't want to go up there. The staff, apparently the owners/tenants themselves, are not very friendly. The hotel is mostly German. The rating on the Internet, the price and quality do not match.
We had a rest at the end of October 2024
I liked the location, the room on the 4th floor with a panoramic view is a delight for the eyes. Probably not suitable for people with sore knees and overweight, because the road to the hotel is steep, about 45 °, 200 meters.
Restaurants, ATM, beach are all within walking distance. You can buy 5 liters of water at the hotel, so as not to carry it down the hill. Beach towels for rent. There is a hammam. Everything is clean and well maintained. They clean every day, towels and bed linen are changed. The funicular and Damlatash Cave are a 5-minute walk away
We stayed at this hotel in February. The main advantage is a fairly cheap accommodation. The room is spacious, there is a separate kitchen with dishes and a spacious balcony.
Of the cons.
There are tiles in the whole room. I don't know how it is in summer, but in winter you can't step on the floor without a thick warm sock, or walk with shoes on. The floor is insanely cold, the room itself can be warmed with the help of an air conditioner, if you close the doors, then it becomes very warm in the living room.
Also a minus is the bed linen. It's scary to look at him. White, but with something that never washes off and is washed to disgust.
What a shower. In addition to the fact that going into the shower barefoot is a problem, because you will freeze everything, so also adjust the temperature regime is a whole quest. Either it's boiling water, or it's ice water, any turn of the mixer knob by 0.00001 degrees and that's it, all your work is gone.
And so a very nice hotel, 5 minutes to the sea. Cafes, coffee shops and markets are also 5-7 minutes away. The hotel has its own restaurant and swimming pool.
Excellent location-in the center of Alanya, rooms are cozy rooms with great views, not all, of course, there is no view on the lower floors. We took a tour without food, cooked by ourselves.I was very pleased with the cleaning. We had a nice young man cleaning (I don't remember the name), room 313, hello to him and thank you for cleaning and smiling
We lived in this hotel together from 22-24.09.2023, room 201, room with panoramic view.
Location: Cleopatra Beach is less than 10 minutes away, unhurried - super. The hotel itself is a little uphill, 300 meters will have to sweat. It's not easy in the heat. I am young, active, but honestly, it was very difficult.
The hotel has a large contingent of age-related people, the hotel is quiet and calm. I didn't notice the Russians. There is a cafe/rest on site - the prices are high. Although the territory of the hotel is small, but there are 2 swimming pools. Small, but quite good. There are a few sunbeds. Everyone usually had enough.
The territory is very beautiful, the view from the hotel and the rooms is magical.
The room is clean and tidy. Repairs are not the freshest, but this is generally a trifle. I liked everything. The room had a kitchen with all the necessary kitchen equipment, relevant for those who are going to cook themselves. The bathroom is clean, spacious. The bedroom too. The room also had a living room, it was not used.
Room cleaning is daily.
Wi-Fi is weak, we couldn't watch the movie.
I didn't like it a bit that the staff, seeing how tired I was of dragging my suitcase uphill, didn't offer help in lifting the suitcase to a room without an elevator.
Also among the minuses I note a meager breakfast, the choice on the buffet was very modest. I wouldn't take breakfast anymore.
I probably liked the hotel, but because of the uphill climb, I would think next time whether to take it or not.
I took it for about 7 rubles per night (with breakfast) - in general, it seems that the price is super. The view from the room pays for everything a hundred times.
4 stars only for the beautiful view from the loggia, we got room 201 and here is a beautiful Panorama of the city, you can see a piece of the sea, a tree with blooms hangs over the loggia. There is a pomegranate growing in the yard, the territory is clean, there are two swimming pools, but there is a time limit, which is not very convenient, I have never seen anyone swimming in it.
The reception staff is very dry, arriving in Turkey I did not expect to see the administrator without a smile, throughout the whole time, as if they were already tired of us, although in fact they never contacted the reception. So they decided not to ask how we were doing.
Oddly enough, the most welcoming of the staff were the cleaners and the morning cook - a woman.
We had breakfast, mostly dry-boiled, I don't know how, but a couple of times we got on a freshly made omelet and shakshuka, otherwise tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, peppers, apples, tangerines, cheeses, bread, butter (spread), jams in packages, dry flakes with milk. Instant coffee.
The room is clean, if you do not look under the bed, you do not need to do this, especially on the first day of rest, believe me, nothing good awaits you there)))
There is a direct road to the beach and it's perfect!
The hotel is quiet and peaceful, mostly elderly Europeans live, the prices in the cafe at the hotel are expensive, in euros.
They arrange "parties" to which no one comes, prices from 10 to 20 euros per evening. As a rule, there is no advertising of these parties, except for the stand near the reception. Therefore, at this time, the cook and the waiter look sad phones.
In general, the impression is good due to the room with a loggia, if not for it, probably a 2 rating for this hotel.
There is a free Wi-Fi.
We have been staying in this hotel for a week, there are no complaints. The staff is polite, they already helped to change the room to an improved one at a discount. I can't say anything about food (they took it without). The view from the balcony, the roof and the pool area is just beautiful (in the attachment). There are many flowers on the plot, the yard is fragrant.
Just keep in mind that the hotel is located on an elevation and to get there you need to climb the stairs 300 meters (approximately).
We lived here from 12/30/2012 to 6.01.23 as a family of 2 adults and 2 children (6 years and 3 years old).
The overall impression is below average. The staff was polite, but in other places of our stay in Turkey, there was more care on the part of the hosts.
Positive:
1) A very impressive view from the windows of the room, even on the ground floor, from the restaurant, from the roof of the hotel.
2) When the hotel failed to block funds on my card, the details of which I indicated on the booking, my reservation was saved.
3) The price is relatively low.
4) Excellent location.
Negative:
1) Breakfast is relatively meager and very monotonous.
2) Employees were constantly smoking in the restaurant where breakfast was held. I asked them not to smoke in front of us, and it seems that they did not smoke in front of us. But it still smelled (
3) Once the lock in the bathroom broke: it did not unlock when opening the door from the inside, although it should have. The door was closed from the outside, and it couldn't be opened. Two employees tried to open it in several approaches, then asked the third employee to wait for us. If he had failed, we planned to call the service the next day (it did not work that evening), and we were offered to go to the shared toilet with a shower in the hallway on the floor below, which are much less comfortable.
As a result, our friend opened the lock. We didn't use this lock anymore.
4) I had a problem with payment: the booking indicated the cost in euros; upon arrival, I asked if it was possible in dollars, I was offered a normal exchange rate, as on the stock exchange; I paid in dollars; the next morning the same employee said that he was mistaken and they had a different rate, asked me to pay extra 13 euros; I asked if it was possible to pay everything in lira, he said that yes, he could return all the dollars to me and accept payment in lira; agreed that I would think about it; I specifically changed dollars to lira and brought it through several. days of lira, but his colleague refused to accept them, said he could not return the dollars to me, offered to come on the trail. the day my manager will be there. That manager agreed that I didn't need to pay anything extra relative to the initial payment in dollars. In general, they ruffled my nerves with this mess.
5) The room has a very cold floor.
6) At the entrance to the hotel there is an empty swimming pool with a depth of one and a half or two meters. There was a fear that children might fall in there if they were actively playing nearby.
Beautiful view of the city, the hotel is located on a mountain, simple rooms, but with balconies, in winter the rooms are cool, but the air conditioner works for warmth, close to the sea
I liked the hotel in principle. There are minor flaws, but as they say, "there are no comrades for taste and color." I lived here for three weeks, and I worked remotely for one thing. I bought a local SIM card and there was a great Internet connection at the distribution. The room consists of two rooms. Everything was fine with me. Simple, but quite decent! The view from the roof is great! There are tiles and a kettle in the room, I ate on my own, I took the tour without food, so I can't say anything about the hotel's kitchen. The room was given on the ground floor, where the exit to the balcony is just an exit to the street. I did not receive any of the views I expected from the balcony to the sea or mountains, and I did not ask to be relocated. The staff does not understand Russian, is friendly, but is absolutely indifferent. I've heard that there are barbecue dinners at the hotel, so I've never been offered one. And it seemed strange to me, because many guests do not understand and do not know what is happening in the hotel, and services need to be advertised in order to sell them. There is also a hammam in the hotel. But it didn't seem to work either. I consider the location of the hotel to be a very huge plus. Walking uphill is a good exercise for the body. 5 minutes to the sea, all shops, cafes nearby. The beach is great.
We rested with my husband from 05.01 to 13.01.2023, booked a room with a sea view, without breakfast, since we stayed in 2020 and they are very meager here, one egg and a piece of sausage, a piece of bread for each, so we cooked breakfast on our own, so, in 2020 there were no complaints about the hotel, the uphill climb is difficult, Well, this does not apply to a hotel such an area. The location is excellent cafes, shops, the beach is all nearby, so we chose this hotel knowing its + and - but, it started with the fact that the check-in was at 00.00 and the reception did not work, the watchman settled us, we have known him since that time, the room was not the category that we booked, settled in the standard, said in the morning at 11:00, the receptionist will come with him to decide ... there is nothing to eat from the road the restaurant is closed, everything is also closed nearby, I decided to stay in this room until the morning, but the first thing besides the fact that the category was lower, there was no hot water, so I just had to wash cold from the road and go dirty and hungry from the road to sleep, in the morning, coming to the reception, we were told the room that we had booked to be vacated on 7.01, although we have check-in from 5.01))))) saying that we would not live in this room without water and after shouting we were offered another room, but after 14:00, after waiting like that for half a day, we were moved to a simple room without frills, well, okay, but what was annoying was the lack of hot water, that is, it is early in the morning at 5 minutes and at lunch, then the ice had to wash just in parts, first in the morning, then at lunch everything else and in turn with my husband, I generally think this is not acceptable for any hotel that provides services for accommodating people, then water again)) there is only drinking water in the room, there is no cooler on the floor, but there is a stand on the street and only a week after checking in, where we took 2 bottles of 1.5 liters daily, we were told that it was paid and, by the way, only euros or a card in this hotel (ours do not work) and water as a result it turns out to be gold, although it costs 8 lira in a local store, the staff is rude, they do not understand Russian, English is very bad, so it is useless to find out something. We will not come to this hotel anymore because there are no conditions and loyalty to regular customers.
The rooms need renovation , air conditioning in one room ( not enough for the whole room ) there are almost no dishes in the kitchen . But there are gorgeous pools on site, it's cozy
I didn't like the hotel, we booked a suite in the main building, moved into an additional building, the room looks like a poor Turkish apartment (I've been in such), although they promised to relocate. Breakfast is very poor. The uphill climb past the smelly garbage cans didn't make an impression either. In the morning, we packed our bags and went to another hotel.
And so we rested in this hotel from 08/24 to 2.09
At once, minus this climb to the hotel, a very steep slide that is difficult to enter, even if you are a seasoned athlete. The second disadvantage is the steep stairs in the hotel itself, which they wash almost every day (maybe because of covid) I fell down this staircase due to the lack of any identification marks, the hotel staff did not even apologize🤷♂️ Rooms are cleaned every day, spacious rooms with good views of the city and mountains (photo attached) the room itself is well renovated, there are no problems with plumbing,in room 402 there was a problem with the light quickly fixed, the breakfasts are not big, but hearty, coffee, juices, you can choose from both, the staff is friendly and very friendly, the pool is clean, the sun beds and the area around the pool are washed every day after closing there is a swimming pool, many attractions and a great beach within walking distance, there are many cafes near the beach, I can safely recommend Instambul cafe from myself, summing up, I will say that in principle and in general everything is good and even very good
We stayed at this hotel from September 1 to 8, all inclusive. I'll start with the food, everyone had the same breakfast, eggs, sausage.. nothing special, but lunch and dinner were kaaiff, they were fed a la carte, that is, according to the menu, the portions were large, very tasty, since we were the only ones on all inclusive, dinners and lunches were cooked only for the two of us and sat alone in the restaurant it was complete peace, as if on You are in your villa because none of the guests were there. We went to a restaurant once all the time, and then on the first day, because the restaurant was closed at the hotel, but I wanted to eat, I had to go. The food in this restaurant is the same as at the hotel, soups, fish, etc.. Why pay..Of the drunks, only their local vodka, wine, cognac.
The hotel is located on a mountain, but for us it was a plus to shake up the food and for the sake of the view you can walk around. It's also quiet there, no one passes by from strangers, respectively, it's not noisy, there are a lot of plants, a steep viewing platform on the roof of the hotel, which few people know about)
There are many quiet streets around the hotel, you can wander for a long time exploring the area.
Very friendly staff, if you have everything included, do not forget to tip, the portions of food will be more!
We left a unicorn in the pool, if you see it, you know you can use it!
There can be no disadvantages in this hotel, you live in the city center, among plants in silence, without noise on the street, with a great view, and the food is delicious!
We stayed at the hotel from September 7 to September 15, 2020 (breakfast only). Yes, the villa is located on a mountain, it takes 2 minutes to walk up a steep mountain, but on the second day you get used to it)) There are 3 approaches to the villa: the steepest slope from Cleopatra beach, on the other side a staircase (about 2 floors up) and another less steep slope to Migros. 95% of the guests relax according to the "breakfast only" system, so the traffic is at the hotel until 10 am, then everyone goes where and you can drift in peace by the pool, thanks Katya for the unicorn ;) in general, the feeling that you were in your own villa did not leave us all the time. The staff is sweet, friendly, always help, chat and joke with you, they do not speak Russian. Breakfast is served in portions, perhaps because of covid, the buffet was canceled, almost every day the same thing, we ate too much, I attached a photo. Cleaning every day, linen change every other day. The territory of the hotel is surrounded by greenery and flowers, well-groomed, clean. Every day in the restaurant you can order grilled chicken /fish for dinner +side dish +salad + drink for 8.5€) On Friday barbecue party with buffet (very very tasty) for 8€ per person, drink on the menu. To Cleopatra beach 7 minutes on foot, to Migros 5 minutes, to the main street of Ataturk 7 minutes, to the port and the promenade 10-15 minutes. There is an observation deck on the roof with views of the sea, mountains and the city - amazing) The suite is spacious enough, the furniture is good, everything is whole and clean, the plumbing works (room 211). View from the room to the pool, mountains and sunset). We'll be back here later.
We had a rest on 19.04- 03.05.2019. A good apartment hotel without excess. Good-natured and helpful staff. The first few days it was cold at night. There were warm blankets, the air conditioner was turned on for heating. The breakfasts are without frills, but satisfying (a la Turkish breakfast). Quietly. Bed linen and towels were changed after 2 days. Daily cleaning service. Cleopatra Beach, Damlatash cave, funicular to the fortress, Red Tower, old shipyards - all within walking distance. The market on Fridays (fresh vegetables, fruits, olives, cheeses) is close. Who is interested in shopping malls of Turkish clothing brands nearby. A good place for a budget vacation. There is only one drawback: a steep climb to the hotel and not all buses stop by, but the entrance is good and the sightseeing buses arrive.
We rested here in early March 2020. The room was from the category of a panoramic suite!
For the sake of the view from the panoramic room, I am ready to come back here again and again!
The room is a small full-fledged apartment! There is a separate bedroom and another room! There is a TV in every room! Toilet, shower, kitchen! with dishes, electric tiles and a refrigerator and 2 steep balconies, one is not big, and the second is huge!!! Both with crazy views of the city of Alanya❤
We rested at Villa sonata from April 19th to 25th. I do not recommend this hotel. There are more minuses than pluses. Firstly, the hotel is located on a very steep mountain, it is extremely difficult to climb there. Even the transfer doesn't go up there, it leaves people downstairs, you have to go up yourself with your suitcases! Secondly, the hotel itself is old, old plumbing, there is either boiling water or cold water, it smells like sewage. Breakfast is meager, the dog that lives in the hotel rushes at people, sleeps at night on those rocks near the pool, where people sunbathe during the day! One of the advantages was the beautiful view from the balcony.
A very clean and cozy hotel with a wonderful view of the city and European-friendly staff! The best hotel, I have already visited it twice) special thanks to Edda Bohur, the hotel manager for her professionalism and individual approach! I highly recommend it!
A great quiet place for a family vacation. Breakfast is included in the restaurant. The rooms are clean, the view is gorgeous. Only the shower is a little naughty: sometimes cold, then hot sharply.
We arrived in Alanya at the Villa Sonata Hotel on August 31. From the tui tour operator. And oops, the hotel said there are no rooms. We are sitting with my wife and two children, waiting. The tour operator is silent. Such things. The holiday did not start cheerfully
