An economical accommodation option in Istanbul, very small rooms and sometimes without windows.
Pros - the location is perfect, the breakfasts and the restaurant where they take place are excellent for a 3-star hotel*
The reception guys are responsive. I recommend
Very dubious impressions about this hotel! Of the advantages: in principle, a good location, the street is quiet without passing, next to public transport stops, next to different shops, they cleaned every day and that's probably all!
We arrived on December 31, instead of the planned 2-3 days, by 8 pm, because of the flight delay, we were very tired. The reception was quickly checked in. My family booked a triple room, and additionally requested a cot. We were provided with room 1A: a 6-bed room with an additional room with low ceilings, old, stinks, water flowed from the sink pipe to the floor in the toilet, i.e. after washing our hands a couple of times, 2 towels were used to remove all the water from the Floor. I asked to move to a triple room, as I had booked! They said that there are no such numbers at the moment, is it strange? Yes? And then how did we book an island on the website?they gave another room 205 on the floor above, it was already a five-bed room! But the benefit is a little better than the previous one, everything worked in the toilet, one window looked out on neighboring hotels, the other was even covered with blinds, it went into some kind of mine, but also stank of old age, I had to open the window every morning before leaving to ventilate. So we stayed in this room, a day later, after returning in the evening from a walk, the guy at the reception informed us that we were! Without warning, without our knowledge! We were moved to another room, which we booked on the triple room website! And they moved our things to a new room on their own! Allegedly, his partner should have informed us in the morning, who accordingly did not say anything! To say that we were surprised is to say nothing! Fortunately, the maids moved all the things, they did not forget anything, the room turned out to be a little better, on the fifth floor, although it did not stink and the view was on the courtyard of the neighboring building opposite! As everyone wrote above, there are problems with the main light, basically only side lamps and there is another additional lamp, a drain button in the toilet, if you do not put it in its original state forcibly, then water will flow all the time in the toilet. The fact that major repairs are required is yes, many wrote above, everything seems to be fine in the photo, but in fact, everything is old! The breakfasts are very meager, I know that in such hotels they feed about everywhere, but the usual breadcrumbs fried dough, I met for the first time, the children had nothing to eat, they ate milk balls every day, the cooks did not have time to cook, they had to constantly wait for egg dishes, sausage of the same type, there were not even sausages! It looks like a lot of things, but one jam of different types! This is not the first time we have been in Istanbul, and more often we stayed in hotels behind Sultanahmet Square, but this year they raised the price tag for New Year's Eve and holidays very much, of course, we wanted to save money and so we found an option a little cheaper ((( of course, we were disappointed that the New Year's mood deteriorated due to such inconveniences. I do not recommend the hotel and we probably will not return! It's a pity that we booked a few days in advance and had to make a full prepayment, and it was New Year's Eve, so, of course, we would have moved out right away without thinking.
Great hotel. I really liked the room, cozy, clean. Polite staff, attentive service. Hearty breakfasts with a good selection of dishes. Excellent location in the center of the old town. Within walking distance of the main attractions, tram stop, marina. We will definitely come to Istanbul and stay at this hotel. I recommend it!
