The water is clean, the air is fresh, the mountains are high!
There is also a dead road with large narrow stretches, active local riders on UAZ
You need to drive very carefully and in a four-wheel drive car, the SUV is not the fact that it will get here.

I visited this miracle of nature on a Summer evening tour in Gagra on September 8, 2024. The waterfall is incredibly beautiful, the road leading to it is not accessible to all cars only by jeeps and the like. We got there on a specially equipped UAZ without a roof for such a road with a breeze and music, in the common people jeeping. The drivers of these cars have a lot of experience in driving, on the way to the waterfall of incredible beauty nature mountains, river, various trees and shrubs. The impressions are incredible, I recommend you to visit!

A very beautiful place, a waterfall made of rock. If you get close, it gets cold, so it's not superfluous to take a windbreaker with a hood, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes. How to get there: follow the Ricin highway to the turnoff to Gega. Immediately behind the tunnel, on the left side there will be a parking lot where UAZs are "on duty". The cost is 4000t per car. The route takes about 25 minutes. They will take you to the waterfall, wait 30-40 minutes and bring you back. You shouldn't even try to drive your own car (unless you have a Field or another full-fledged SUV).

The place is fascinating!!! Be sure to go! Please note that from the highway to the waterfall you can only drive a full-fledged four-wheel drive SUV. There is a small parking lot by the road, and local UAZ trucks are on duty there. The round-trip price is 4000 rubles. It's worth it!!!

This is an incredibly beautiful and powerful place! What you see in person is not at all comparable to what you get in the photo. The water is mountainous, icy, incredibly delicious! Especially in the heat, a liter of water is drunk in just a couple of minutes and you want more. On my next visit to Abkhazia, I will definitely visit this place again!
The road to the waterfall is something! Take a jeep with an open roof, ride standing up and watch the sharp turns when you are literally driving along the edge of a steep cliff - it's worth feeling!

My 4 stars are not for the waterfall, it's gorgeous. And for the way to him. On the way from Lake Ritsa (we were in our car), we saw a mini-parking lot with,, jeeps,, (UAZ without a roof). We were kindly offered to ride 8 km up to the waterfall on the Gega River, and on the way to look at another waterfall. The skill of the jeep driver should be noted. I couldn't look forward or back. And he was driving, and deftly parted with oncoming cars and people walking on foot. On one side there is a cliff, on the other side there are mountains, under the wheels there is an off-road made of a stone embankment. As it is clear from my review, the path itself made a huge impression on me, to the waterfall and back. The weather was sunny and hot. Arriving at the place, walking along the bridge over the rapid Gega River, we found ourselves at an ice waterfall located in the most picturesque bosom between the mountains. 5-10 minutes we took pictures, admired and began to return, enjoying the coolness of the Gega River, the noise of fast water.You will definitely visit this place in the Land of the Soul, my assessment is connected precisely with my feelings of height, serpentine and the instinct of self-preservation. The impressive scale of the mountains, the beauty of the waterfalls, the indescribable play of sunlight and the endless cliff with the unknown below.Our car, while we were climbing to the waterfall, was under the reliable protection of other jeep drivers, and for free. The beauty is extraordinary, there is some kind of grandeur, indescribable sensations! Along the way, the forests are dense as from a fairy tale, cars are driving right along the edge of the cliffs of high cliffs, the adrenaline is already off the scale! In general, I recommend this route to everyone, and earlier on the way we stopped at Lake Ritsa, a very picturesque place, there is also Stalin's cottage, but this is a completely different story!

This waterfall is gorgeous. It was July 8, the heat was +30, and at the bottom of the snow there is still a huge layer of 30-40 cm thick. The waterfall is very high. It flows straight out of the rock. And clouds of steam rise from the spray and this quickly makes you wet. To the left of it is a huge cave, where streams of water flow from the ceiling - it also looks grandiose. I liked this place even more than Lake Rizza. The only thing is that it will shake your whole soul to climb 8 km on cobblestones in a jeep, but it's worth it.

A great place to visit and a souvenir photo, when I saw it I was very impressed by the greatness of nature and the power of this waterfall, especially up close! It's worth a look, despite the fact that you have to drive through the mountains on the Uaz, this is an impressive place! I highly recommend visiting it, tourists traveling by bus will not be able to see this waterfall, so choose "jeeping" with a visit to this waterfall!

One of the posh places in Abkhazia. I recommend visiting this country. So much beautiful nature, ancient history. When you are in Abkhazia, be sure to take a combined jeep "Lake Ritsa - Geghi waterfalls - Alpine meadows".
So much adrenaline when driving on the rocky roads of the serpentine. And if you're lucky with the company in the jeep, there will be a LOT of impressions.
Don't be afraid of the road, just relax and enjoy nature.
On the tour, the final stop before heading back is the Alpine Meadows. You can just walk around waiting for the barbecue to cook, or you can walk 7 km to Lake Mzy. So, our group from the jeep reached him in full force. With different times, but I got there.
The drivers themselves were surprised.
Abkhazia is something. And the cleanest Black Sea coast is in Pitsunda.

A fairly ordinary waterfall, the road to which is too difficult - you can drive your jeep, but it is desirable to have quite a lot of experience driving along stone serpentines. I met this a couple of times in Gamsutla and Stepantsminda, but here, of course, there is more adrenaline (on the descent below I saw a truck that fell into the bushes). It's probably fair to say that the trip up itself gives you more emotions compared to the waterfall. It is high, but quite modest, the force of the fall is small, there is not even a special place to swim at the bottom, so no one swims, however, even on winter holidays there are quite a lot of people here, and mostly everyone just takes pictures. Unfortunately, he is also inferior to many in terms of beauty.
