I went to Postavy specifically for her. It is a place with deep meaning and emotional tension. It characterizes the subtle nature of man, the danger and instability in our life path. Everyone should visit this place – it changes people.
Located in the historical center of the city, this landmark impresses with its atmosphere from the very first minutes. The narrow streets leading to it seem to have been specially created in order to prepare the visitor for meeting something special.
Especially impressive is the play of light and shadow on the walls, creating bizarre patterns that change throughout the day. At such moments, you begin to feel especially acutely the passage of time and its influence on everything around you.
It is interesting to observe the reactions of different people: someone freezes in thought, others begin to actively take pictures, and others just stand silently, immersed in their thoughts. This place seems to become a mirror of the soul of everyone who visits it.
The only point is that it is better to come here on weekdays or early in the morning to avoid the crowds of tourists. In silence, the impression of the visit becomes especially deep and personal.
After an hour spent here, you really feel how thoughts and perceptions of the world around you change. This is not just a tourist attraction – it is a place of power where everyone can find something of their own, deeply personal.
I recommend it to anyone who is ready to not just “gallop through Europe”, but really immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the place and think about deeper things. This is exactly the place in Postavy that is worth a visit, even if you are passing through.
P.S. Don't forget to take a notebook with you – after visiting this place, you will probably want to record your thoughts and feelings.

Those who expect to see a mill with blades and water wheels will be disappointed. This mill was built in the 19th century on the site of an old mill that fell into disrepair (time and fires know their business). And it was built according to the technologies of its century. Instead of water wheels, turbines were formed, as well as a new bridge with a system of locks. As a result, after the reconstruction, it was already a three-storey building instead of a one-storey one. Downstairs, grain was taken and flour was given out. The main grinding mechanism was located on the second floor. There were also posts and a sieve. Above there were installations for milling, cleaning and peeling grain. There was also a basement. A turbine mechanism was placed there.
But I actually wanted to say this! This is a great place for children. The building houses the craft house "Stary mlyn". If you come with children, don't be lazy, go in and find out what you can visit with a child. And adults are interested there, if they are interested in crafts) There is painting, ceramics, straw weaving and much more) Excellent interaction between teachers and children, my child was happy) I highly recommend it!
