It's an amazing place. The road here is not easy, but it's worth it. The views from the cable car are impressive. We were at the end of April, the weather was sunny, so the landscapes were very bright and juicy. An audio guide in Armenian, Russian and English is available in the booth. By the way, there is a large parking lot in front of the cable car, which was almost empty. We thought that few people got this far. But no. The parking lot at the monastery was full, despite the fact that the road to the monastery is still a quest. Although we are relatively budget tourists, and the price of a cable car is about 1000 per person one way, we set out to ride a cable car, and I think that those who are in Tatev for the first and, possibly, the last time, should take advantage of this opportunity. There is a place to wander and see on the territory of the monastery. The surroundings are, of course, very picturesque. If we consider the monastery from an architectural point of view, then, in principle, it is a typical Armenian history. But the atmosphere here is special. It seems to be a tourist place, there seem to be a lot of people, but, really, you feel peace and tranquility here. In other popular temples and monasteries, despite the fact that they are certainly interesting in their own way, I did not feel such spirituality.
Incredibly beautiful views! Definitely a place to visit! Excellent cable car, with clean windows. While the trip is taking place, the history of these places is told and hints where to look at this moment. The road leads to the monastery, with crazy views
It is a very beautiful place, it is definitely worth visiting the monastery and taking a ride on the cable car, there are very beautiful views from there (ticket for the cable car 6500 AMD), we went on an excursion from Yerevan.
Nature and landscapes are gorgeous! But... I remember the price of 1000/1500 drams round trip, at which the access roads were, although not in excellent, but in good condition, and the cabin staff on duty talked fascinatingly about local attractions... Now there is practically no road, you can kill a car, and an electronic guide stuttering 10 words cannot say where everything is along the cable car route... And this is at a price of 6500/13000! And advertising sites attract the price of 3500/7000.... Tourists in Yerevan expect one thing, but in fact one disappointment. 4 stars only for the mind-blowing views created by nature. And the cable car has deteriorated beyond recognition, as well as the local service .... It's a pity...
A fascinating view! It is necessary to include it in the travel program. The price is approx. $23 round trip. The funds go to the restoration of the monastery, which is important. In September 2024, the road was redone in parts, 5 km of asphalt was completely removed, cars were driving on gravel. Of course, it's inconvenient, but the new road is very high quality.
I recommend.
It is difficult to describe emotions, even I would say it is not possible. It's just that you need to be here, look for yourself and it's better to stay in this place for a couple of days.
Don't expect strong service, there are no Michelin restaurants here, but in general there are delicious private cafes.
We got here in the fog 😶🌫️
The atmosphere of mystery and some kind of total peace.
I would also like to mention the excellent staff 🤗
I definitely want to come back in clear weather and take a longer walk.
It's very beautiful to take your breath away from the beauty
You have to see with your own eyes
I recommend it to everyone who loves beauty.
One of the most beautiful places in Armenia
We drove here for almost 4 hours from Yerevan - it was worth it. The heights and views are breathtaking. We arrived a little late, almost at sunset, but we still got a boost of beauty.,
Awesome cable car, you really fly as if. It was done well, thoroughly, great service and a good restaurant on the cable car. Scary of course, but beautiful
It is a very beautiful place that is definitely worth visiting in Armenia. It costs 9000 AMD. It takes about 10 minutes to go by cable car. But the views from it are magical
It's amazing. 😍Nature is divine. And at the other end of the cable car, the monastery of the IV century is very fascinating. I strongly advise you, although it takes a long time, but it's worth it. And there are many more attractions along the way.
The world's longest reversible cable car and the shortest and most beautiful way to Tatev Monastery. Just 12 minutes at an altitude of 320 meters above the river gorge and you will find yourself in the monastery. Departure is strictly on time in the tickets, so don't miss it. it is better to buy tickets in advance, they cost 7000 AMD in both directions.
A grandiose structure! No wonder we came along the mountain serpentine to the edge of the world. There are nuances - it's too expensive, a child's ticket is for height, up to 140 cm, and not for age. There were a lot of people in the booth, despite the working day, people were noisy, it was almost impossible to hear the guide's story. But the views are amazing!
The cable car made a strong impression. It is listed in the Guinness Book of Records, quite deservedly! We highly recommend you to visit. Everything is clear, an electronic scoreboard with full information. But surprisingly, a foreign visa card did not pass at the ticket office. Surprisingly, but a fact. It's good that the World map has passed. The price is not cheap, but it's worth it! The views are fantastic!!! The main thing is that you have good visibility, we are lucky.
We have been to the Tatev Monastery 3 times.
We rode the cable car 2 times.
Very impressive! Fascinating views!
I advise everyone to take a ride at least once.
Unforgettable. We've been on the cable car a lot, but it's so beautiful here that even watching the video takes your breath away. The audio guide tells us interesting things in Armenian, English, and Russian. The glass in the booth is spotless, very very clean, as is the cabin as a whole. It is very beautiful and interesting. You won't regret it.
A must-visit place in Armenia!
Incredibly beautiful landscapes complemented by a picturesque cable car and the spiritual population of the Armenian people!
There are nice hotels nearby with a view of the canyon.
A fifteen-minute journey over the gorge to the mountain monastery. Beautiful views, smooth running of the cabin, include a recording with pleasant music and brief comments on what we are passing over (flying over).
There are no disadvantages.
The cable car is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest cable car in the world. Lots of impressions. If someone drove by car, but not necessarily, like us, all the way to Tatev, they can estimate the scale and serpentine from above from a bird's eye view. The cost of going back and forth is much less if you take it from the other side and not for a fixed time. It's 100% worth it. If you just go for a ride, you don't have to go to Tatev itself, you can get there, but preferably before lunch to see the monastery and go back. The road is open until 18-00 in October. I do not advise drivers with weak nerves. The road is dead and there are a lot of trucks going to Iran. At the very bottom of the road is the famous Devil's Bridge. Evaluate your driving skills realistically. Along the way, the car guide tells about the sights. Useful and interesting. I highly recommend it.

This year, on vacation, we decided to visit with the whole family the longest reversible cable car in the world – wings of Tatev! Although the road from Yerevan is long, but it's worth it! There is a large free parking in front of the complex. There are various cafes, souvenir tents and toilets. There are many recreation areas in front of the departure point, among the orchard, and there is also a spring with cool and clean drinking water. Ticket prices are available – 250 rubles per child (up to 140 cm), 2000 rubles per adult (round trip). The cabins are comfortable, with panoramic glazing. They have an audio guide in Russian, Armenian and English. The walk is accompanied by a pleasant national melody. The views are very picturesque and impressive! Words from the Bible involuntarily come to mind: "God made everything beautiful at the right time." Considering the mountain beauties, I would like to thank our Creator for such gifts to people. Upon arrival in Tatev, we recommend taking a return ticket with a delay, as there are many places worth visiting on the territory. There are also many secluded benches near the monastery where you can spend time and take a walk.
We advise everyone who will be in Armenia to make sure to set aside time to visit this wonderful cable car!

Armenia is always beautiful and exciting. But here at an altitude of 400m, it takes your breath away from both beauty and fear (this is for me). The beauty is indescribable. There will be an opportunity to visit. You won't regret it.
An amazing place, the beauty is indescribable.
Personally, I was lucky, the road and the monastery were in a fog, very beautiful.
A stunning monastery, beautiful, harmonious.
I did not understand the super delight of the cable car. A normal cable car is an ordinary one. The trip is only 10 minutes. One of the advantages is that there is an audio guide in three languages.
It's a mesmerizing place all along the way. In the cableway car, it is better to stand from the left in the direction of movement. And it is very difficult to look at the places that the audio guide speaks about (in three languages in the car), they can not immediately be seen, especially the Devil's Bridge or the Devil's Bridge (natural construction)
We were at the restaurant with our family . It was not expensive and very tasty , but there is no menu for children , as in most establishments in Armenia .
Fascinating beauty, good organization. On the way, audio accompaniment is provided in the cockpit of the Tatev Wings. You need to visit Tatev at least once in your life. If you are eating from afar, then I advise you to spend the night in Goris or in another place near Tatev and go in the morning to the first funicular, which departs at 10 a.m.
These are unforgettable emotions!!! Crazy beauty and thoughtful logistics. It did not hurt to pave a normal road to this facility and there will definitely be more tourists. I recommend to everyone who comes to Armenia to visit)
