This is an extraordinary place in Tbilisi, the soul of a hospitable city! My husband and I were looking for a place to have dinner, read the reviews and found this restaurant. The atmosphere is very atmospheric, the cordiality of the hosts is felt throughout. The host personally greets each guest, treats them with homemade wine, tells them about the dishes from the menu. The food is extremely tasty, homemade, cooked with a soul. They came just to eat, but parted like good old friends. Uncle Mirab, you're the best!!! When we are in Tbilisi, we will definitely come to this restaurant for dinner. 💗💗💗 I recommend it to everyone!
A wonderful place that preserves the atmosphere of old Georgia. The food is delicious at home, the best eggplant with nuts that we ate, delicious khinkali, excellent salads. The only thing is to plan more time for a visit, because Uncle Merab will not let you go just like that, and will pour you his homemade wine, which is sooooo delicious. We had 2 groups of guests who specially returned here to be in this homely atmosphere again.
Not the most noticeable place in the center of Tbilisi, but with delicious and inexpensive food! The host is good-natured and polite: he treated me to homemade wine, came over during lunch and filled the decanter again. The food is delicious, the price tag is below average, we sat together, so it's a good option if you want to eat inexpensively without too much gloss and pathos ☺
Grandpa Merabchik is just a very good man and a hospitable Georgian! Everything is very sincere and delicious. The price is quality, it was never better in Tbilisi. The homemade wine is very tasty and chilled, and the chacha is just magically soft)))) . I really, really recommend it to anyone who loves a home environment)))
A must-visit. Get acquainted with good homemade Georgian cuisine and the sweetest friendly host. As soon as we return to Tbilisi, we will definitely visit more than once.
It would be nice to update the decor and interior, but there is a suspicion that the specific charm of this unusual institution will disappear ;)
Everything is great! They gave me wine and fed me from the belly. Everything is sincere and delicious. The portions are huge . The owner advised me to take one for two. Overeat!Wine is the most wonderful thing that has been drunk all the time. Thanks to the hosts. It is impossible not to love Tbilisi! If Merab is in place, then everything will be delicious!
A small family restaurant in the city center.
The friendly and hospitable host Merab. They cook delicious. Very tasty homemade wine. A unique spiritual atmosphere. We come here every time we come to Tbilisi.
For those who drink and get there when the owner of the place is there, I think it will be much more pleasant than for us.
The owner, said toasts, treated me to wine.
Honestly, I'm not exaggerating about the food-We waited an hour and a half.Order khinkali and kebab. The other was not appreciated -there was practically nothing on the menu. Khinkali is the most tasteless thing I've eaten. Frozen semi-finished products are tastier in the Russian store. Kebab-overcooked, dried. I won't say it's tasteless, but not wow. Medium quality. Atmosphere… I don't know what the atmosphere in Georgia looks like "at home", but the widespread dirt is uncritical for me, but it must be borne in mind. The toilet was described in the comments…
Two stars only for the owner's uncle, who entertained the guests with toasts and drinks, although for me, as a non-drinker, tired from the road and terribly hungry, it was even somehow "off topic". As for me, it would be better to help a poor woman, apparently his wife, to handle the orders. Someone wrote that it is worth updating the decor, but perhaps the institution will lose its charm, I do not think, since the shabby walls and broken dishes do not create any charm.
The order was not fully completed, after that they wanted to include in the bill what they did not bring.
The price... someone writes that it is good, as for me it is so ordinary… Perhaps a couple of lari per dish is cheaper than somewhere else. But an hour and a half of waiting, a forgotten order, the absence of 80 percent of the menu, dirt and the general tired state of the establishment for me does not justify such savings. It's corny. The menu is worn out, with prices rewritten more than once. It's not that expensive to make a new menu. Hire an additional employee to help in the hall and in the kitchen.
I've been to this place several times. Like many who left good reviews, I was lucky that there was a host at those times. The kitchen left a pleasant impression. But luck ran out on the last visit. Mirab was gone and all the advantages disappeared with him. In addition to everything that other guests of the establishment rightly noticed, small portions, a meager menu and a peculiar interior, the food became not only tasteless, but disgusting. It looked like there was a cleaner in the kitchen that day instead of a cook. Some of the dishes were refused immediately . Those who tried it left a lasting impression. I will omit the details, out of consideration not to cause the reader a negative attitude towards Georgian cuisine, Do not come here if you do not want to play roulette "lucky" /"won't get". There are many other places that will be associated with "I love Georgia" in my memory
I love Georgia, and this place has left nothing but unpleasant impressions.
Of the advantages:
- the menu is in Russian, if that's important to you;
- the staff also speaks Russian, all the guys are quite polite up to a certain point.
- the prices are lower than the average for the hospital, but the miser pays twice.
To the cons:
- The portions are tiny and rather meager. A plate of beef bowls can only be fed to a kitten. It doesn't taste good, and in fact, too - liquid broth with a couple of pieces of tough beef.
- Khachapauri in Adjarian, for example, has standard sizes, but tastes much lower than average. The worst of all the options that I ate in Georgia and abroad.
- Mushrooms with cheese is a separate song. A piece of cheese on the champignon and in the microwave - the cheese has melted, and the mushroom is raw. The cheese is delicious, but the dish is disgusting.
- Of the features. In Georgia, many establishments have a service fee, but they always warn about it before the start of service, especially tourists. Here, I only found out about it when paying. It's an unpleasant surprise.
result.
Just don't go there. The owner is probably a nice person, but he couldn't put up a kitchen. Zero stars, friends.
In such cases, it is always interesting to understand what motivates those who write rave reviews? As it is correctly written below, it resembles a roadside prank.
Perhaps people were delighted by the beautiful interior as part of the Soviet "grandmother's" dishes and old tablecloths with frills? Or a wonderful soundtrack from the best "DJs" of our time: Kikabidze, Leontiev, etc., designed on the latest miracle of technology TV "record" from the USSR? Is it likely that you were pleasantly surprised by the concern for the sobriety of the client in the form of diluting the "gift" wine with water? And what an invaluable aid to weight loss is the inability to chew not only the "Shish Kebab", but even the "meat" from Ojahuri ... Mmm ... In general, visitors are clearly taken care of here! As well as, judging by other reviews, about the novelty of reading the dishes: one Khachapuri in Adjarian style in the form of scrambled eggs, slapped on a bun, which is worth it!
And they are also very worried in this tavern about emptying the visitor's wallet: instead of 55 lari, we counted 75, when we began to point this out to the waitress, she began to count by warehouses, adding the price for each dish from the menu by exactly one lari ... it still did not fit... Then this person began to say in a meaningful tone that A certain "He" said that you still need to pay 75 GEL. Who she meant is left to the imagination of readers... After much persuasion, the lady still condescended to our stupidity and said that she just counted the kebab for 14 lari twice. It didn't add up anyway. We spat and as a result paid 60 GEL instead of 55 on the menu and ran away from this "institution". It's good that we have also avoided the monstrous Owner ("HE?"), who, judging by the descriptions below, breaks Khachapuri with his hands (or maybe feeds it with his hands?) to prove that the product is soft and edible!
Total: a shortfall of 5 lari (or it could have been 20 if we hadn't shown resistance), terrible food (we could only eat a third of the dishes), wine and compote swill. And this is against the background of the fact that in the other 7 establishments in Tbilisi we had everything at the highest level (although there are rumors that there are miscalculations in some places) with excellent food (on average better than in Russia). How do you manage to ruin Georgian food, that even in any institution in Moscow and St. Petersburg it tastes better than here???
In general, I highly recommend it! (actually, no, don't go for a cannon shot)
I will give this restaurant exactly five points because the restaurateur is a very sincere, sociable person, I personally know him. He has a wonderful, delicious cuisine and home-made wine. There is no pathos here, it is the home environment.
A very cozy place with delicious cuisine and homemade wine. Cheshuli, khachapuri only from the oven. A calm, unpretentious home environment where you can take a quick break from the hustle and bustle, relax and eat delicious food! I will definitely come back again
An interesting cafe. Very friendly host and reasonable prices. Delicious meat soup, kebabs, khachapuri. Wine as a gift)) Soviet music is on TV. I advise you!
Very friendly host, did not ignore, ate delicious, treated us to wine, also very tasty) yes, not a restaurant and without luxuries, but immediately it was expected, so five stars!
They recommended this place to us as inexpensive, but delicious. It turned out to be the opposite: They took khinkali- they look like store-bought ones! Not tasty. Eat just to satisfy your hunger. Homemade wine, which the owner treated, is hardly wine - a mess of powder. The prices are not cheap! I do not recommend it!
A cozy place, a hospitable host, Mirab. Individual approach, cordiality and hospitality. It is impossible to remain indifferent after visiting such a cafe-restaurant. The second name is the Peoples' Friendship Restaurant!
A good impression was made by the host's hospitality and deliciously prepared national dishes. As a present, I was offered homemade wine, to choose from: red or white. I chose red. I tried the meat dish Cheshushuli, ordered Khachapuri in Adjarian. I ate and drank from the heart! ))
When I want to eat on the way, I will come back to this wonderful institution with great pleasure!
Great place! The hosts are hospitable, the place is atmospheric. It was like visiting my grandfather 😊
If you are looking for a humane place, not sterile, with a soul - be sure to visit! If you just want to eat in a beautiful place, then it's better not to. This place is not for everyone, a fragment of our common Homeland - and that's great!
Greetings from Voronezh!
The kitchen is amazing. Family environment. I came in by accident, but the host and hostess greeted me as the most expensive guest. Home-style kitchen. Very tasty.
Although this is not said enough. Very very tasty.
If you are a fan of pretentious restaurants, then you are definitely not here. The main thing here is the atmosphere. This is a family cafe, very soulful. The host Mirab treats wine, communicates with each guest. As a result, all our tables communicated with each other, raised toasts. The geography of visitors was: the entire former USSR. Took khinkali-(very tasty) and a cheese plate. We will be happy to come here again on our next trip to Tbilisi.

A hospitable and kind-hearted delicious place. We were here with my husband on the day of arrival in Tbilisi, accidentally bumping into each other, and went in again on purpose. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet the owner. We were warmly welcomed by the young hostess. It feels like you've come to visit their house. We tried khachapuri: Megrelian, Imeretian, and Adjarian, eggplant in a salad with pomegranate and in a roll with nuts, shish kebab, ojakhuri, trout, drank dry white and semi-sweet red. This place is like relatives at home, do you make claims to your family members for having a tired chair under you? Or for listening to Soviet pop music? Just read the reviews. I am sure that there will be restaurants in Tbilisi to suit your taste. And this one is for friendship. Everyone chooses for themselves. Good luck to everyone!
It's really cheaper here than in restaurants in the old town. But, very small portions and not very tasty. The mushrooms were raw, and there was little cheese in khachapuri (
Yes, the style of this cafe is far from the pathos and beauty of other restaurants in the center. But you have to come here for something else. For the atmosphere, hospitality, delicious homemade food and Georgian toasts. Uncle Merabchik, with his tireless enthusiasm and energy, creates a feeling of warm home gatherings in Tbilisi. Special thanks for the delicious wine and toasts that unite guests from all tables, regardless of nationality. Having accidentally looked there once, we became regular guests.
The atmosphere is just space. The owner of Mirab met himself and treated his personal billet with wine 👍👍👍 He talks pleasantly. Chashushuli is simply bombically delicious. The kitchen is just like at home, they cook very tasty. I love Georgian cuisine myself.😋😋😋
Don't go there, the food is terrible, instead of a barbecue they brought fried fatty chicken, I didn't know that chicken has so much fat. Adjarian harapuri with an absolutely raw egg is not safe at all. And when paying the bill, they also charged us 10% on top, we wanted to leave as soon as possible, so we paid. Later we found out that starting in 2024, fees are required to be included in the price on the menu, so I don't know if we were cheated or the owners don't comply with the law, but we definitely don't set foot there anymore.
A great place where the main thing is delicious food and hospitable conversation.
At first we went in and went outside, but the owner of the establishment met us on the street and offered to come in for a meal, treated us to wine and fruit, had a heart-to-heart conversation, and this began our acquaintance with Georgia and Tbilisi, a magnificent coincidence.
We went to eat several times, homemade food is very tasty and pleasant to be there.
They treated me to wine right away.. everything is clear here-five! )))
Inexpensive and delicious. The interior is for an amateur

People, after visiting this place, you will stop loving Georgia! We went in the evening of 06.10.2024, because the neighboring catering points were already closed : the basement, the smell of food, the tables were not cleaned, but they found us free of dirty dishes ( oh, a miracle!) and we began to look at the dirty menu. We ordered ajakhuri (14 lari), kebab -12 lari, 5 khinkali (6.5 lari) and beer 6 lari. The kebab was brought first: a piece of low-quality minced meat dark in oil.... It crunches... it's not a kebab! This is a cutlet in the shape of!! It's disgusting! There are lard pieces in ajakhuri! It doesn't taste good! Oh, about Khinkali, it's time to swear! These are cheap semi-finished products !!! We were treated to "wine" - this is a chemical similarity of wine! The dishes were brought by a very old lady, it was pitiful and awkward for her, because it was already night, and she was on her feet.... We counted 49 GEL ... it was very sad that we had to choke on such disgusting food, look at these dirty plates at neighboring tables!!!! The squalor in the toilet room... people, I told you - decide for yourself to come in, or not! In the morning, my son had a stomach ache after the kebab ... he drank loperamide.
My first evening in Georgia was spent in this place and I left it absolutely happy and drunk. The host is hospitable, likes to chat. The food is the most delicious. I really liked eggplant with nuts and something with veal. Well, it can't be so delicious! They treated me to wine and tea, and laughed when I spread adjika on bread. So if you are good people, then come, you will feel cozy, warm and delicious here!
very atmospheric, Miramchik creates a magnificent own and individual spirit of this institution.Very tasty, the price tag is humane. I want to go back. I definitely recommend you to visit!
It is very tasty and inexpensive - but only for those who do not want to overeat, because the portions are 2 times less than the standard ones. Pour the wine and add 10% to the bill
Very atmospheric and soulful! A family restaurant. The owner of the restaurant is Merab... The soul of the restaurant!!! If you just want a quick snack, then this is not your restaurant. We love going there for heartfelt conversations and to feel the Georgian hospitality! We sincerely wish prosperity and well-being to the restaurant and the owner!
Alas, we made a big bet on this cafe because of the name and reviews, but it was the worst of where we were. The portions are very small, the khinkali is semi-finished. As a result, they scored both the first and the second and the wine and did not eat enough and turned out to be more expensive than in other pubs as a result.
A very colorful place!!!!! Delicious food, indescribable atmosphere. Everyone is welcomed with cordiality. As I understand it, this family cafe has passed from father to son and all previous traditions are maintained there. Good luck to you Goga.
Delicious food, amazing man Mirab, homely Atmosphere! I recommend it to everyone! It is impossible to be in Tbilisi and not visit the restaurant "I LOVE GEORGIA"!
A nice price, but small portions, there was little cheese in Adjara. There is a problem with the hood, as if in the cellar / dampness, if someone else smoked near the entrance…
Cozy atmosphere and relatively clean
It's a very soulful place. We came in quite by accident, but stayed for a long time. The owner, Uncle Merabchik (he himself said to call him that), treats him with homemade wine, even treated him twice.
We ate delicious, but in many places it is tastier and the portions are not the largest. But there is more atmosphere and impression here - the real Georgia. So it's definitely worth coming here once.
We came to eat with the company. As a result, half of the Menu is not available, the order taker was confused about the prices indicated in the menu. Meat dishes are 90 percent fat, and music is playing loudly. After the first dishes were taken out and there were attempts to cancel the order, they refused because "they had already started cooking." 10% for the service was also not forgotten to be included in the bill. A total of 70 GEL for the fact that the food just stood in the table. The interior leaves much to be desired, as well as the service.
A very pleasant place! Especially the kitchen and the service! The owner of the Mac treated me to homemade wine, tea. It left me feeling like I was visiting relatives. Rahmet for the evening!
I recommend this place.
