The church made a very positive impression. Everything is clean and tidy inside, which creates an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. I was especially pleased with the presence of a ramp for people in wheelchairs, which makes the church accessible to all parishioners. This convenient piece of infrastructure deserves special praise.
The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located in Tashkent. (former Hospital)Now her address is: 91/5 Avliye-Ota Street. I first came to this church as a young girl, and since then, upon arrival in Tashkent, I have always visited it. This church is loved by the residents of Tashkent, especially a huge number of parishioners on Orthodox holidays. Built in 1871 as a temporary church at a military hospital, it was named after the Great Martyr Panteleimon the Healer. Currently, the Temple with a six-tiered bell tower is the largest Temple in Uzbekistan. The temple complex includes the Church of St. Luke, in the vicinity there is a baptismal chapel, a water chapel, a spiritual center, a church shop, two buildings of Diocesan administrations. In 1996 , on November 10 , His Holiness Patriarch Alexy of Moscow and All Russia celebrated a Divine service in the Cathedral . On October 1, 2017, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow of All Russia performed the rite of great consecration in this Church after the completion of repair and restoration work.
