Very sad to see animals in small cages, some looked really nervous in the tiny space given to them. That's very cruel to deprive the species of freedom, when they are meant to be in nature.

It's a great place. I recommend it to both adults and children! The price is not high. There are few people. There is a place to eat inexpensively.
We spent 4 hours. We admired the animals. There is no crush like in the Moscow zoo. The animals come out and walk quietly. Behemoth is a real handsome guy. Lions, monkeys, elephant, camel, zebras, bears and more. A variety of birds. There is a playground. Compact, with a sufficient set of animals, places to sit and watch.
There is a children's playground.
You can buy food at the entrance. It is not expensive and there is a lot of it. But the pieces of apples are big. We broke it because there was nothing to cut.
You won't regret going. And be sure to buy food.

The best zoo I've ever been to. There are many different animals, almost all of them do not hide, but on the contrary they are very sociable. And the place itself is very beautiful - the territory is like between two mountains, and the extreme enclosures rise into the mountains. And there are spacious territories for all kinds of mountain animals)
And the best part is that it feels like the animals are happy here. They are all active, willing to interact with people and with each other, even between different enclosures. I usually feel a little sad in zoos, because at some point there is something like sympathy for the animals. But there is no such feeling here, on the contrary, I am somehow happy for them!

If you are with children in Yerevan, be sure to visit the zoo. Even adults will be interested. The zoo is located in the gorge. The area is not very large, but everything is done wisely and conveniently. There is a white lion. We visit zoos in all the cities we visit. This zoo is finished visiting!

The zoo is nice, small, but there is a variety of species, there is a terrarium. They sell food, you can feed some animals, especially I liked to feed deer and deer, they come up and reach for food. A gorgeous hippopotamus, elephant, camel, zebras are all clearly visible. There are two types of bears, tigers, and lions. Mountain goats and mouflons on the mountains as if in a "natural environment" - the zoo is located as if surrounded by mountains, some enclosures need to be climbed. A quiet place where you can walk, especially if you find shade in the heat.

We often visit you and loved the zoo very much. I am very angry at your cafes and the loud music in them at the zoo. This is not an amusement park. Children should not be asked to eat any filth here. A very depressing state after visiting the zoo. Unfortunately, the deeper it gets, the worse it gets. Some animals are just in the most terrible conditions, just terrible, I hope they will pay attention to this soon!!
It's a pity for the monkeys, you can't look without tears ... they are all sitting in a concrete cage meter by meter, there is simply nowhere to climb, there are some two sticks on which they are trying to climb.
Some of the baboons are sick... huge growths on the back that already outweigh them!
Eagles that need a large cage are also very small, they are half-dead, and it is a very sad sight.…
I was also very struck by the fact that in the snake zone in one of the tiny terrariums sits geneta (looks like a cat), a beautiful animal!! In a stuffy, small room with snakes... how could you guess?! It's just a nightmare
The place in the zoo makes it possible to create normal conditions, it is unclear why the animals are in such a state....
We drove based on good reviews, I do not know where they came from.…
I do not recommend visiting, we went out in a very bad mood after what we saw ... I hope the zoo administration will pay attention to this.

If we compare it with the zoo in St. Petersburg, then Yerevan is much better.
I was glad that there are no popcorns, cotton candy and other things on the territory that children usually beg from their parents. And the children were not distracted and they were interested.

A great place for children, a large zoo, you can feed animals, clean, there is no smell. Bears and camels are very friendly. You can buy water at every corner or sit in the shade. One of the negative points is that logic breaks down when a wild kitten with spots and furry mice sits in a terrarium next to pythons and geckos. What's it? Are the animals punished? Or are they food? The children were confused.

An excellent zoo, a large territory and a picturesque location of aviaries on the slopes of the mountains. There is an active renovation and construction of new spacious aviaries. However, along with this, there are also small cells in primates, which may not have completed reconstruction yet. It was sad for them. Packages of animal feed are sold at the checkout.

Elephant hippo brown bear seems to be without pairs, if I'm not mistaken. We didn't see any tigers, although we went 4 times specifically to see him (at the request of the children). The ticket price does not bite, the only thing is not clear why the cost of an entire zoo and a small aquanarium in which there are really no snakes have the same price. The food is very expensive. 600 drams per package in which one sliced rotten apple and several cubes of sliced carrots have no one to feed except an elephant and a hippopotamus. 2 lions and one female who are fed worse than yard dogs

It's just a wonderful place in Yerevan for psychological relief. A very beautiful landscaped zoo. The animals are kept in close to natural conditions in spacious, clean enclosures, which is a merit of the zoo staff. There are drinking fountains throughout the zoo. Great zoo, huge space for animals, clean. An excellent solution for the use of mountainous terrain, everything is provided. The only thing is, when I was descending from the wolves, and before that I went around the entire territory, I fell and injured my arm, the road in this part is sloping. We were also pleased with the animals that are rarely found in zoos in Russia.
