Viaduct, bridge.
The abandoned railway between
Tkvarcheli and Akarmara
The railway bridge over the Aaldzga River in Tkvarcheli was the only bridge with a bend in the USSR:
* Rails have been missing here for a long time;
As well as the rolling stock;
The old bridges (8 in total) are completely made of concrete, and not ready-made metal spans as they are now. They were built in the post-war years by captured Germans.
We took atmospheric photos from the highway. Then we went down by car and walked a little. One of the traditional places of Abkhazia for abandonment. There are a lot of them on this road.
A beautiful place with a history. The trip itself is interesting past the villages nearby, you will find out the way of life of the people living in them.
The indescribable vibe of photography.. The feeling of being in a lost world or a post-apocalypse from the movies. A must-visit when going to the waterfalls!
The remains of the railway bridge, it is better to observe from afar, the consequences of the war are visible all around, and the broken CHP, and then the abandoned city of miners, coal was transported across the bridge to the CHP, now there is apparently no place to take it
All that is abandoned is yesterday's forgotten. The viaduct is no exception. To look at the past is equivalent to mentally returning to the past. A good, memorable view. I recommend it!
The sight is majestic and sad. Such efforts and funds were spent on the construction of this miracle. And everything has fallen into decay and is being destroyed...
Looking at everything, you will think about what diagnoses people start wars with.
Respect each other.
Good luck to everyone.
Mutual understanding.
Peace to all.
Good luck.
An amazingly beautiful place. There is an abandoned bridge against the background of wild nature, as if in some kind of movie. I highly recommend making a stop at the observation deck and taking a couple of shots.
What can I say?) to go, watch, contemplate and regret a little that those days are irrevocably gone.... Be sure to stop on the way to Akarmara or waterfalls.
Very beautiful places, and waterfalls such as the Giant, Irina, etc. are also available.

A picturesque place. Impudent devils ask for a photo from a person of 150 rubles on the arm. They'll be fine. And so the shots are amazing. The bridge is breathtaking. Be sure to come

You look at him and fantasize. The train to Hogwarts is coming up now. Like in Scotland. In Abkhazia, the abandonment is fascinating. Traces of a bygone civilization.
It's a pity we were in winter. In January. And there was no time for walking on bridges and tunnels of the railway.
Everything is fine there!!! I recommend it to anyone who wants to see what happens to cities without a person. The view from the "hand" on the viaduct is generally bombastic))
Remnants of a more advanced civilization... Now only cows walk on it intermittently. You can't drive down under it in a passenger car, it's quite possible on a crossover.
