The Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Gaziantep is not just a museum, but a real journey into the depths of history and art. Located on the site of the ancient city of Zeugma, it contains some of the most impressive archaeological finds in the region.
a grandiose place, amazing mosaics in beauty and preservation, the building itself is an object of high design.
I recommend a mandatory visit to everyone.
It is open every day of the week and the Museum is entered by Card. Someone wrote in the comments that it was small. No matter what else. She thought I would only see the Gypsy Girl before I got here, I was even excited about her. It turns out that much, much more beautiful mosaics are on display. It was made for almost all of the Roman gods. An incredible, awe-inspiring visual feast. They made things that people couldn't weave as carpets with mosaic stones. And they're all perfect.
The museum is entered by card. It is definitely a must-see place in terms of history and art. All the historical monuments are very impressive, especially the Gypsy Girl. There are mosaics belonging to the Zeugma period, sculptures and structures of Rome, Antiquity. At the same time, the historical artifacts brought from Hatay are also exhibited in a separate place. If you come to Gaziantep, it is the place you should visit..
I really liked the museum! The canvases of mosaics are striking in their beauty, some resemble paintings rather, the mosaic stones are so perfectly selected and composed. There is a QR code on the entrance ticket, which allows you to listen to an audio tour.

Great! They were in April 2024. They were almost alone in the whole museum. Impressive! I definitely recommend the room. It takes about 30 minutes on foot from the old town. Ticket 12 €. 2 huge rooms. If you just go and look, it takes about 1.5 hours. The notorious gypsy was not impressed. It's too fake. Alone in the dark. And the guard just follows you around. But other paintings!
It's a very nice place. I recommend you to see our world heritage site. It is also very close to the city center, definitely put it in your program. You can visit the museum in about 1.5 hours. The entrance to the museum is free with a card.
A wonderful place where the beauties of history are blended. The mosaics specially commissioned by the high-ranking people living in the region to show their wealth are excellent compared to the lack of technology of the time.
On our trip to Gaziantep, where we went as a family, we stopped by the Mosaic Museum and liked it very much. After the completion of the museum, we bought a magnet cafe connected to the museum and drank coffee.
the museum is very large, modern, there are interactive elements, for example, a hologram of fish in an aquarium on the floor - the children really liked it - they ran, and the fish ran away. There is really something to see in this museum. We were there from morning to lunch, I didn't want to go outside in 40 degree heat, the splits work very well. We went through the museum map.
