My husband bought a watch in August 2021 in Brest, in early June 2022, the crown flew off the watch without any mechanical action. They brought it for warranty service. The watch was sent to Minsk for research on the cause of damage. The research is conducted by the Ziko service center, which does not allow us to say about conducting an independent (selfless) study. According to the results of the research conducted by Ziko, the damage was the result of mechanical action on the part of the consumer. Which is to be expected when researching the seller's company. Instead of informing about this by phone and discussing their repair (cost, time) from a service cent, the watches were sent to Brest and the manager reported the results of the study. After calling the service center, we find out that the cost of a lost crown is approximately 20% of the cost of the watch (out of stock). According to an employee of the service center, there are problems with the supply of goods to the Republic of Belarus in connection with the sanctions. The repair period of the watch can range from 4 to 6 months. Now I can give the watch for research for an independent examination, and subsequently go to court to restore my consumer rights (since I believe that the damage to the watch was not the fault of the consumer), which will also take a sufficient amount of time. Conclusion: the warranty on the watch is a fiction. Question: what is such a service center for?
