September 2024. We always come here with my husband when we are in Tbilisi. He says that kharcho and khinkali are the best in the city here. I rather like the location and the atmosphere. Such a refined Soviet dining room with unexpected paintings on the walls. And it is located two steps from Rustaveli Street, almost to the side of the Museum of Modern Art. Yes, it is important! The staff does not speak Russian, only Georgian or English! And the menu is also in English-Georgian without pictures, so Google translator will help you) My husband tasted fried khinkali here. To my taste, it's just chebureks in the form of khinkali) pork kebab is not very tasty, it's a little dry. In the Georgian salad, tomatoes are of the "supermarket" type, despite the fact that September is the season of ground delicious tomatoes. People enjoy drinking beer and wine. The price tag is humane. You can take it with you in a foil package, but it's better to eat right there!
I tried 4 types of khinkali. Very tasty. Inexpensive. 1 khinkali 2 lari. Servings from 5 pieces (serving 10 GEL). The service is in English (young people work). According to the cards, for some reason only cash was accepted (maybe I was so unlucky, although there is a common story in Georgia, they love cash here).
The best khinkali in Tbilisi, especially branded fried khinkali - I have not eaten anywhere else in 3 years of emigration. It should be taken into account - there will almost always be a queue at the entrance, Friday / Saturday / Sunday evening - 30-40 minutes + they will also cook for 30 minutes and beyond, which is also normal for this institution, and for Georgia as a whole. There is no armor! The service is also one at a time, most likely you are not used to this, but just make a discount, fried khinkalki are worth it😁
We really liked the khinkali here, the dough is just perfect, and the minced meat and broth in them is the perfect combination. The service can't say it was friendly, but I can't say it was dismissive either. It was cold somehow served. We were at the time of the protests, perhaps because of this. The place itself has dimmed lights, it's hard to call it cozy, but the food is commendable - a score of 5 for this.
the most terrible institution of all that we have been to in all of Tbilisi!!!
the 1st thing I would like to start with is the disgusting service and attitude towards visitors. Of course, I understand perfectly well that the service suffers all over Tbilisi, but this place is just TERRIBLE. To clearly understand the situation, we, as polite and decent people, sat down at a table and asked the waiter which language he would be comfortable speaking, Russian or English, he replied that in English. As a result, he accepted the order with a malicious smile on his face. And when we asked to bring the satsebelli sauce we ordered 50 minutes ago, the waiter replied in Russian that they do not eat khinkali with sauce. In a very unfriendly tone, but as if with a claim.
Of course, I understand everything, but who cares how much my friends and I like to eat khinkali, maybe we get high on their radishes, who cares? Especially to the waiter, whose task is to ensure that the guest leaves well-fed and satisfied. But at least in normal establishments it is.
2nd - the waiting time for the order, 10 unfortunate Khinkali waited a certain amount of time. As a result, 9 pieces were brought. Why? Answer this question yourself. The cutlet with mashed potatoes was carried for more than one hour, the poor girl who ordered was already sitting and biting her elbows. At the same time, there were absolutely NOT many people in the institution. The bill was also carried for a VERY long time, then it was brought, we put the money inside, waited around 20-30 minutes for the waiter to come and pick up the bill. Next, the most interesting thing is the surrender. We waited a long time for it to be brought, too. It's just something with something.... There was no such thing in any institution.
The 3rd is food. The tastiest khinkali we've ever tasted. It feels like they poured cheap fried minced meat, bland and without spices. Khachapuri was brought on a thin dough, which all crumbled. There was very little filling.
In general, IN NO CASE do I recommend this institution to visit. You'll leave in a bad mood, just like us…
My friends recommended this place, they said that there are delicious khinkali, and the khinkali turned out to be really good, BUT! The service is such a bottom, the waiter waited a lot of time, as a result, a girl came up to us, who clearly did not want to go to work that day, and she did not care deeply about the visitors.
Well, we made an order and began to wait, as a result, this wait stretched for 30-40 minutes, and the tables that came after us brought khinkali earlier, how is it at all? We pressed the button several times to call the waiter, but no one came.
Plus, their terminal did not work, they only accepted cash, they had to go to the ATM.
Well I do not know.. The establishment is clearly not worth the time spent
I liked the restaurant, the cuisine is excellent (we tried 4 types of khinkali, chicken kebab, salads, khachapuri), everything was very tasty. The waiters know their business and the menu is excellent. I didn't really like the interior, it wasn't very cozy, but it doesn't spoil the overall impression in any way. An excellent place to have lunch or dinner after walking around the beautiful city. We will definitely come back when we are in Tbilisi next time.
We called in advance to find out if there are discounts on the birthday. We were told that yes, there is. In the hall, the waiter never came up to us, we had to attract his attention. When they asked for the invoice, they asked again about the discount. The waiter rolled his eyes and said, "I should have said it earlier." He was just too lazy to reprint the discount receipt. He also refused to explain that it is written that for additional expenses of 15% (most likely, it is VAT). The attitude is disgusting, it would be better to celebrate somewhere else.
We came to eat delicious khinkali. We ordered 5 bottles of lemonade and 20 khinkali. The waitress specified which Khinkali and suggested the menu.
The lemonade arrived quickly, but we waited for more than an hour for khinkali. We thought that there were a lot of people and the kitchen couldn't cope (this often happens), but still decided to ask how much longer we had to wait. Another waiter told us that we had ordered nothing but lemonade. It's a shame that we spent so much time and stayed hungry.
It was very tasty, and it wasn't very expensive. A cool place in the center, where queues line up in the evening for dinner.
Khinkali, khachapuri - everything is at the highest level!
From the threshold, the negativity immediately knocks down, the hostess young man decided to address the guests "hey hey" accompanied by finger clicks, saying come here, we were stunned, but we thought okay, we won't make a fuss about it. They went to the table. But the negative did not end there, 10 minutes after the order was accepted, fried khinkali was brought, which turned out to be undercooked, which is not surprising. fried khinkali with blood instead of broth. Admittedly, according to the remark, they worked and took khinkali as a substitute. And hallelujah, after 50 minutes of waiting, we got khinkali, we waited for a reason, it was delicious and juicy. After that, there is no desire to return to this place
It's a good place. Good cuisine. Prices are sometimes unclear how they are formed.
Khinkali is normal, of all kinds - but salads are very high price.
In general, if the menu is accurate - 60 GEL for three.
Tips will be added to the bill - 15%
There were a lot of positive recommendations, so we decided to go. As a result, it is a complete disappointment. Absolutely not tasty khinkali and eggplant, homemade lemonade was also nothing to talk about. The dough at the hinkals is just disgusting, the meat was generally not bad. The eggplants were salted and poured with a lot of oil, heartburn was provided for several hours. We expected more from the institution
Khinkali is delicious, especially fried.
But! Service 🐷🐷🐷 the table was waited for a long time, Khinkali waited more (!!!) An hour!! 10 pieces.. the next table was brought faster (probably because Georgians were sitting there). The waitress girl did not repeat the order and brought one more beer and refused to take it. The waiter poured beer on my white trousers. I apologized formally, of course, but the sediment remained ... there is no desire to go there anymore..
I still don't understand how positive reviews are formed.
Facts - they ordered French fries (well, the child wanted them), brought all the burnt ones, forgot ketchup (although they ordered and paid for it), until they reminded, they brought it.
Cutlery, plates - well, everything is as simple as possible
Chairs - we were in the hall with such chairs, they are all stained, looking not very mildly
Payment - I paid in cash, even for decency they did not bring back the change and the check
From a good location and a spacious enough place
We were walking and accidentally walked into this restaurant. It's cozy inside, has its own atmosphere, and, as it turned out, for me there are the most delicious khinkali!!! It's not the same everywhere after them....
Fantastic food!!! One minus - if you do not adjust - there is a chance to wait for an order of 40!!!
We had lunch in two restaurants of the chain (Tbilisi, Telavi), quality and service are equivalent!!!
Everything pays off with quality and good taste!!!
Everything is fine with food, nothing bad, and I won't say anything good. We have not experienced any taste fieria)).
If you do not speak English or Georgian, it will be difficult to figure out what to order. Maybe of course we weren't particularly lucky and the cute waitress girls start speaking Russian only after tipping.
The only advantage of this place is an interesting interior. The waiters are unfriendly, the prices are high. I was here two times at different times, both times there were no mushroom khinkali, although there is one on the menu. I do not recommend it.
Very tasty.
Upon arrival in Tbilisi, we accidentally wandered there for lunch.
The next day we decided to have dinner there with friends, we waited 40 minutes for a table to be available. It was worth it! I recommend fried khinkali 👍
Everything is delicious as always! During the year of my life in Georgia, I went here many times for fried hinkals. The place is popular, many recommend it. It is better to come on weekdays, there are fewer people and the staff is more attentive these days. And it feels like every time the khinkali are getting smaller and smaller in size ... I hope it just seems!
A great place, well visible from the street. Several spacious halls, authentically decorated. During high-load hours, you have to wait for the table to open. The place is known primarily for Khinkali. The choice of species, the presentation, the products - everything is at an excellent level. Wonderful beer. Excellent service
There’s no way to book a table to the place (not polite staff explained me by phone). At the same time when I went there (tried 3 times) it was always “we have no available tables” and there was a queue of people standing on the street and willing to enter the place. Always unemotional staff only suggest to become the 6th or 10th in the queue and wait for the free table. This is not how a good restaurant has to work.
Btw today I was there and while people were waiting for the entering, I could see at least 4 free tables (with dirty dishes but still free) in the inside.
A very long wait for the waiters. They didn't bring one item from the menu + they asked many times to bring water and a glass — they also didn't bring them. When asked to come over, each waiter asked to wait a little, but the wait dragged on for 10-15 minutes. We do not recommend it.
We are not welcome. The young waiters looked askance at our table, discussing something and did not deign to approach. We looked at the menu on the phone (qr on each table), half of the dishes without an image, the signature in Georgian and English. After sitting for 15 minutes, we went to another place, where we had a great lunch
We found this place based on reviews. I wanted khinkali. We climbed to look at the reviews. We stopped at this institution. Came...That queue, but..we decided to wait. And they didn't regret it. The queue goes fast . Khinkali is the tastiest)) someone wrote here about the gloomy interior - he did not confuse us))) everything was compensated by khinkali. Only..I didn't like khinkali with cottage cheese and cheese. Well.. it's not khinkali anymore, but big dumplings😀 those who like such dumplings will like it. If you get on a shift when the waiter boys are working, then they are somehow more smiling. By the way...we still managed to forget the bag there with documents and money. Everything was returned to us in one piece! Thank you very much!!!
The bill included what we did not order and proved to us that we took it. I had to fight with the staff. There is enough written about the service in the reviews, but an attempt to deceive visitors is already below the mark. The food itself is ordinary.
The most delicious khinkali that we tasted in Tbilisi were here! Both boiled and fried!)
It is clear that the place is popular, so in prime time I had to wait a little for the order, but it was worth it)

Pork kebab: tasteless, without marinade. Fried a blunder, there were a couple of pieces with blood, the feed is generally silent…
Khinkali, which everyone praises, but in fact: the meat is not tasty, there is no broth inside the khinkali after cooking.
Khinkali with cheese, the feeling that you eat khinkali with warm cottage cheese is doubtful to taste!
Salad, well, it would seem, how can you spoil a classic Georgian salad (cucumbers + tomatoes + nut sauce)
, But the vegetables are tasteless, the dressing is bland. There is a specific shortage of spices.
Service: 0, the feeling that we were distracting the waiter from some more important matters. 😀
And finally: the extractor hood in the establishment works poorly, a sour-rotten smell was coming from the kitchen into one of the halls.
To summarize: this place was recommended to us by many friends, as a result - a complete disappointment! Don't waste your time and money!
We came here based on reviews, waited for delicious khinkali, and as a result, we were disappointed. The pork kebab is dry, cold, the waiters are not friendly, the hall is very dark and there is not enough lighting above the tables. Half of the menu was missing. If you want to wait a long time, it's not tasty to eat, but it's cheap, you're here
The place is popular, I think undeservedly. There is nothing special about the interior design and the menu. We didn't get in, moreover, they answered us rather rudely that there were no places 😕
The most wonderful kharchos and khinkali!!! The atmosphere of the Soviet canteen! Very sensitive staff! It's great to be close to the main routes in Tbilisi!
We recommended this place as very tasty.
I stopped there before the airport. Time was limited. Immediately upon entering, I asked if they would have time to feed me, explaining the situation. As a result, delicious khinkali and a glass of white wine were brought very quickly)I managed everything. It's beautiful inside. Thanks!
