Beautiful historical place to remind everyone who fought, died and defeated Nazism. It seems that here they are trying very hard to write an alternative version of the history, there is also some "good" guys who painted a swastika on the pedestal. Though this place is still here to witness what and how it really happened, who won and who was defeated. No matter how it will be vandalized, it's not going to cure the frustration of the new fascists, this place is going to be here for still a long time.
Tomb of Unknown Soldier

Indispensable Park Pobedy in Tbilisi! It's a real pity that it has been abandoned and cannibalized of its marbles. It transpires history, the real unknown soldier's tomb and statue is here, it's not worth you try to move it somewhere else. All the soldiers'souls that fought and died to defeat Nazism will haunt the city forever...
Moma-Museum of Modern Arts in Tbilisi

The only museum in Tbilisi that really felt worth visiting in its entirety. It hosts principally the works of renown artist Tsereteli, which really speak about Georgia unlike the depressive oeuvres that you can find in other galleries that are a sad reference to some far away art currents. Moreover it is very interesting the area at the ground floor dedicated to emerging artists, plus the garden where you can find some other Tsereteli big sized sculptures.

A place worth the visit, some attraction outside of the usual touristy tour. Interesting architecture, though it seems that some repair would be required.
Археологический музей

The former archeological museum stands close to the statue of Saint Nino, and they both are in a state of decay. The day of my visit there was heavy rain and the place was totally unguarded, though I didn't venture inside it for a matter of prudence since I was alone, but it would have definitely be possible (though be advised that it is very likely that you might break the law doing so) . You can find some parked cars nearby, it seems that people come here for some privacy. And they are absolutely right, since the atmosphere is relaxing and the place itself is wild and beautiful with this weird architecture that seems to come far from the past, and ready for you to explore it. One of the few places in Tbilisi that still feels authentic, unlike many others that are subgerged by any sort of extemporary advertisements.
Monument to Saint Nino

One of my favorite spots in Tbilisi. Unfortunately the monument is in decay and the area feels abandoned (as the former museum of archaeology nearby), but the aura and the atmosphere of the place is calm and profound. It's interesting how a city can forget its heroes, they once built this monument and apparently it has become unfashionable. They must have found some new gods here in Tbilisi. Will they be better than the old ones?
Goris Tsikhe

I had some troubles to get there, since Yandex maps was showing a path that was either closed or inexistent. Some locals showed me how to get there, and from below the fortress appears very beautiful. Though, from the top there is not much to see, the city doesn't offer such great views. There were also two stray dogs barking, but asking them politely they let me through. You cannot reach the edges of the fortress, so you can see mainly some hills (great) and Georgia's flags.
I.V. Stalin Museum

Very nice museum that displays both the original house of Stalin and his train coach. Inside there is a lot of historical material about his life, but also pre-revolutionary Russia, the October revolution, and then the Soviet Union. Everything is very well organized and described. It's a real pity that you have to pay for it, which is in contrast to his values (Lenin Mausoleum is free), besides I had the very bad idea of buying a magnet and a few postcards which were very expensive. Beside that, it's one of the not many yet best and genuine places you can visit in Georgia. Time is ticking fast toward EU homologation, in Tbilisi this is much more noticeable, unfortunately. In Gori, there is still some resistance.
Georgian National Gallery

Museums in Georgia are overpriced and I always get out of them very disappointed. The National Gallery of Georgia develops over two levels and, while one might still find it interesting to have a look, it is really difficult to understand how can such a lively country with sunny landscapes, good food and nice people, can produce this art which is made mainly of grotesque figures, or depressive portraits of the city or the people.

Big and interesting market very close to the railway station. You can find fresh fruit and vegetables, live fish, honey, wine... and there is a department for shoes, that as you can see from the picture, has a huge selection. You might find a bigger selection for clothes in the underground passage to the station.
