It is a very atmospheric place, we experienced tremendous emotional delight, tasted the whole national flavor. If you have visited the city of Samarkand, it is impossible not to visit this landmark complex. Definitely 10/10!
One of the most beautiful places in Samarkand. If you do not have time, it is better to go to it than to two or three other attractions, you will be amazed. In my opinion, it is even more interesting than the madrasah on Registan Square.
Five stars exclusively for respect for the very place and history of Samarkand. In fact, I was waiting for more, you can get around in 10 minutes, after the Registry you can not compare. The only thing was without a guide. Perhaps it will be much more interesting with a guide. It is definitely worth visiting, but I would probably advise you to start exploring Samarkand, with Shahi Zinda, and not end up like us.
Beautiful, authentic, solemn. I don't know what other epithets to choose) the place where legends rest! Just walk around and enjoy the atmosphere and pray,,🙏
A great historical place in Samarkand.
Shahi-Zinda is the only archaeological and architectural monument in Samarkand, in which, including the cultural strata of Afrasiab.
Most of the buildings belong to the Timurid era (XIV—XV centuries), and the restructuring of our time has practically not affected the composition and appearance of the complex. Mausoleums have turquoise finishes or are covered with dark blue tiles with floral ornaments.
Each mausoleum has its own unique style.
The first attraction in Samarkand that you need to visit and, if you are limited in time, the only one.
It is beautiful, with a history, a fairly large territory.
Just a must see with no options.
An amazing place! This is the best attraction not only in Samarkand, but also in the whole of Uzbekistan. Not a single merchant on the main territory of the complex - is it not a miracle?))

A very beautiful monumental complex. There are sites that have been preserved since the 13th and 15th centuries. You can see different styles of design of mausoleums. There is a functioning mosque inside.
There is little information inside, it is better to go with a guide or prepare in advance.
Shahi Zinda is definitely one of the most interesting sights of Samarkand. The narrow street with mausoleums looks like a miniature compared to Bibi Khanum. There are many beautiful mausoleums that you can visit. Beautiful decoration. Benches for Zen)
One of the famous and significant sights of Samarkand. Located not far from the market, you can walk, the address is ul.Shahi Zinda, d1. open from 9:00 to 20:00. I visited in September 2024, the entrance cost 40,000 soums, for the local population 5000 soums. It is better to arrive early in the morning or closer to the evening, there will be fewer people.
This place cannot be explained in words..You need to see Tama with your own eyes..I am very proud that I was born in Yauzbekistan...Shohi zinda... I LOVE YOU SAMARKAND
The most beautiful and colorful, in my opinion, is the mausoleum. We saw how many people did not go through the main entrance and buy a ticket, but through the neighboring cemetery.
A good place for a medieval eastern city. It's easy to find, the entrance is free. There is convenient parking. There are many mausoleums and mosques inside, but without knowing the history of who lies there and what this whole complex is famous for, it will only be like a collection of beautiful buildings. Therefore, do not be lazy, read a little about the Timurids in advance, take a guide and do not rush to spend all the money in souvenir shops
An architecturally interesting ensemble consisting of a prayer mosque and a large number of mausoleums - beautiful, if one can say so about burial sites, structures decorated with bright, mostly blue, majolica. However, there is a certain crowding of these, I repeat, colorful objects.
The complex is located on the edge of the cemetery, at the central entrance to which the complex is located, where the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, a native of Samarkand, rests.
The mosque is active, and during prayer it is visited by a very large number of Muslim men. It should be borne in mind that many tourists during the sacred ceremony, in order not to disturb the faithful, are forced to wait for the end of prayer in the mausoleum sector.
The disadvantage of the object is that the entrance is accessible from one side - from the bottom of the avenue, although there is another entrance from the cemetery, but the gate from there is locked.
There is a bus stop and a bus station nearby.
The cost is 50,000 soums for foreigners, on the left side you can enter for free through the cemetery, you only need to step over the masonry at knee level. As it is, the place is interesting and very beautiful.
The most authentic place in Samarkand. Having counted and passed 100 steps, the wish really comes true. It is better to take a guide with you, because it is difficult to understand the history of the mosaic, the history of each architectural structure. Don't leave money - it's a bad idea. A salted place!
With a group of tourists from Volgograd, we were here in October 2023. From the Wiki we had the information " A monument of medieval architecture in Samarkand, an ensemble of mausoleums of the Karakhanid and Timurid nobility. The extant complex consists of eleven mausoleums, successively attached to each other during the XIV-XV centuries. Nevertheless, during excavations on the eastern slope of the settlement of Afrasiab, the remains of mausoleums of the XI-XII centuries were discovered. In 2001, the Shahi-Zinda mausoleum ensemble, along with other ancient buildings of Samarkand, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List "Beauty, blue, openwork, scale, admiration - memories - for life!!!
I really liked the architectural solutions. Very beautifully made tombs. What I didn't like was the cost of entry. For foreigners 40,000 soums, for their 5,000 soums. We were led by the locals, like we were with them, and it was very pleasant.
A stunningly beautiful place! The tombs are richly decorated with frescoes of amazing beauty! Although Shahi Zinda is a burial place, but it is here that photo shoots are constantly arranged. The territory consists of a narrow passage, giving the appearance of a narrow street, constantly filled with tourists, along which there are amazingly beautiful tombs. While in Samarkand, be sure to visit Shahi Zinda! The impressions will be unforgettable!

The place is impressive, especially if you have at least a little familiarized with the history. Very beautiful mosaics, an observation deck overlooking the city, infinitely beautiful ceilings and wood carvings.
It's a beautiful place. This is in fact the mausoleum of Tamerlane's relatives and confidants. It has been restored relatively recently. Some rooms are still undergoing restoration.
Of all the employees, I liked only the gallery owner, who explained it better than the guide who was hired. He was then taken as a guide around the city.
The most unforgettable place! A huge number of impressions! Insanely beautiful! A stunning ensemble of funerary minorets! Beautiful architecture! I advise you! If necessary, there are guides!
The place is a must-visit! It is beautiful and intense. And if you want to take beautiful photos in oriental style, then you are definitely here! We walked slowly from Registan with the child. On the map, it seems much further away.
The azure tombs of Samarkand.💙
Uzbekistan is not the first country that comes to mind when choosing where to go on a trip. And when we visited it, we were completely delighted. Especially after Samarkand.
The ancient city captivated us with its architecture, color, open and friendly locals. And if you take a certain location, then there is the Shahi Zinda mausoleum complex.
This necropolis looks incredibly beautiful: elegant tombs, painted with blue colors and ornaments, with azure domes, stretch along a narrow street. And he definitely deserved his place in the heart.
A beautiful place with its own history and culture. The place looks more like mausoleum rooms, but this place looks like a place of worship of religion and historical memory. But in any case, it's worth coming and looking at the beauty of the buildings and historical architecture
Ancient buildings. There are many guides going on excursions. Tourists from all over the world. The history of architecture is amazing. Entrance is paid. Be sure to visit, you won't regret it.
I will not retell the story and the content. The complex is beautiful and definitely necessary to visit. Traditional buildings, but different in decor, like all the objects of Samarkand. And it is best to walk along Afrosiab after it, since guides usually do not take you through the hills. But it is possible to understand where Samarkand began only there.

Shahi-Zinda Necropolis. Another bright and centuries-old piece of my beloved Samarkand.
This is a complex of mausoleums in which the Timurid and Karakhanid nobles rest. The mausoleums are decorated with colorful mosaics and maelika, which resembles a kaleidoscope. She's just gorgeous in the sunlight. There is a "Magic staircase" at the entrance, for the atonement of sins))).
In several places, you can stumble upon pieces of the architecture of zaroostrism.
Shahi Zinda is surrounded by many interesting and mystical legends, but this is a completely different story.
It's beautiful, majestic, go in the morning while there are few tourists, it's cramped and difficult to take pictures, all the time someone on the left gets into the frame
I really liked it, be sure to visit.I agree with the opinion that a guide is required here, there are a lot of stories and nuances! There is something to see, something to touch, something to listen to, and just sit in the shade absorbing the past centuries!
It is a very beautiful and informative place. Ibn Abbas's grave is a very important place. A collection of architectural masterpieces. There is a place to walk and something to see.
I really like this place. I was in Samarkand for the second time and realized that I could not go anywhere for the second time, but I really want to come here. The concentration of patterns and combinations in the color scheme is striking. I've never been on a field trip, by the way. It is the visual that fascinates.
Ancient architecture, a very beautiful place, there is a place to hide from the sun and rain, I definitely recommend a visit to Samarkand, entrance 40,000 soums
I really liked the beautiful place. I advise you if you visit this place, then choose the appropriate skirt, shorts should be below the knees, but if so, then at the entrance you may be given a handkerchief and a skirt of the appropriate length
