A cozy, small airport. But there are few places to eat (now only a Poppy and a coffee shop). If you want to eat something more varied, it's better in advance.
Gorgeous airport. There are very few flights and as a result people. On the day of my departure, there were only 2 flights in raspichanie. Yes, it is located a little far away, in the desert, besides, the temperature there is 5-7 degrees higher than on the coast, if it's long before the flight, then you can't go outside
A very good dytik in terms of perfumes, I got to the action with discounts when buying from 3 products, it turned out very well to save money.
Al Maktoum Airport left an impression that is difficult to forget. Its unusual compactness is striking from the first minutes of arrival. During all six hours of waiting, I saw only one flight, and I have not seen such a thing even at Petrozavodsk airport.
Despite the relative silence and low number of flights, Al Maktoum Airport has its own unique charm. It is not devoid of a certain mystery and calmness, which, perhaps, can be found only in such non-standard places.
However, it is worth noting that for travelers accustomed to more active traffic at airports, this place may seem too secluded. Nevertheless, Al Maktoum provides an opportunity to enjoy an atmosphere that is different from ordinary airports, and this certainly makes it an interesting and unique place for transfers.
The airport is sparsely populated, with flights mainly to Russia. All controls and checks are very fast. Duty free is small, from a McDonald's cafe. Free Wi-Fi.
Fast customs clearance, no problem! There is a problem with the victory, it does not notify that duty free is not included in the hand luggage and you have to pay 250 dirhams separately for hand luggage! Keep this in mind!
The first and most important advantage of it is that tickets for ALL airlines flying here are cheaper at times, so the Minvody - DXB ticket cost 82,000, whereas in DWC it cost 32,000. The airport is a little further from marina and from Jumeirah, good DutyFree, Big, empty, new.
Arrival and departure leaves a pleasant impression. Everything is quiet and peaceful. The service staff is polite and attentive. It can be seen that the airport is new. From the shops, only the duty free. Toilets are examples of cleanliness and order.
A new large airport. It seems that so far only the pool is used for Russian tourists. On the departure and arrival board there are flights from Russia and 1-2 domestic ones. At the same time, the airport itself is clearly designed for a huge flow of people. There are many check-in counters, large halls. There are few shops in the departure waiting area, in general, there is not much to eat. Generally a clean new convenient airport.
A city with such opportunities and technological development, and one of its airports is a simple barn. A rectangular box with minimal amenities. There are no European outlets, Charging the phone is a whole problem. Three charging racks with five USB connectors. And those don't all work. At the Baku airport, for every two seats, every two!, there is one outlet and two USB connectors. And there is such squalor in the Dubai Almaktum.
It is a very beautiful and clean airport, designed for a large passenger traffic, which is very important in the future. It remains to hold the subway and it will turn out just fine...

It's a great airport. Very convenient for waiting for departure. There are few people, there is a place to eat, clean and well-maintained bathrooms, there is a smoking area.
A small but calm airport, there are no people at all, there is no hustle and bustle. There is a taxi nearby at the exit, but do not follow the touts - they will put you in a Lexus and take you twice as expensive at least, you need to get into beige RTA taxis - they carry on the counter, another 20 dirhams will be added to the bill for boarding at the airport.
Small, quiet. It's not like that first huge one. But in order to fly away, everything is fine. Although, Dubai is not within walking distance. From the cruise port, a taxi takes 45 minutes and 200 dirhams
An excellent airport, large, comfortable, there is a Poppy with adequate prices, we went and distributed sweets for free, of course we cannot compare with ours..
It looks very sad. At the airport, a drunken company drove a BMW car and drank beer on the street. It is very convenient with the main airport. Few companies fly, all as I understand it from the Russian Federation, c7, Ural and a couple of others. The airport is empty. There is no electronic check-in for flights and because of this it is impossible to register a taxi free at the planet in Dubai office yourself.
We arrived in Victory, the hotel was in Ajman, it took 1 hour and 20 minutes by taxi. It was frustrating at first. But the airport is empty, all the procedures for getting luggage and getting out to the pick-up taxi stand took little time, very quickly.
The same thing happened when we left - check-in, baggage check-in (we missed it with an overload, did not ask for an additional payment), loyal packing of things (all drinks and juices remained with us) - everything went as quickly as possible, without queues and checks.
Dutifrey is small.
There is a McDonald's on departure, he helped us out, so they don't feed us on board the Victory.
One day we were stuck at the airport for 7 hours due to flight rescheduling (airline problems). I was with two children and the stay was comfortable. It is very clean, spacious, and there is a place to eat. Clean toilets and loyal staff.
An ordinary airport, nothing outstanding. There is Dubai airport, and there is this one, it is the second and is further away, it takes 30-40 minutes to drive from it, somewhere in 150-200 derham you can get to Dubai. It's simpler there and it's smaller, but maybe it's for the best! There are free places, security is simple, they do not dig in. When you arrive there, it is better to immediately go to the passport check to the people, since the robot did not allow more than half and had to stand in line.
The airport is located far from the city, it takes a long bus ride, there is no metro nearby. A taxi costs about 150 AED. When we arrived, customs control took about 1.5 hours, because there were only 2 people who were doing this. According to my calculations, the automatic system does not recognize about 70% of passport photos and because of this they were sent to these 2 employees. There are very few shops.
A new airport, surprisingly empty so far. Passport control is mainly through the Smart Gate system, without a stamp in the passport. The staff is usually polite. Duty Free has products at reasonable prices. The disadvantage is that the airport is far enough from the city. To get to the central part of Dubai by public transport, it will take about 1.5 hours, first by bus, then by metro. A taxi will take you 40 minutes, but you will have to fork out, only boarding a taxi at the airport costs 20 AED in the fall of 2023.
It's a great airport. Calm, clean. Excellent parking. Few people. Good duty free. There are even drinking water columns. It's like I left the bus station - zero fuss.
There is only one cafe with a small selection and high prices, if you suddenly need to wait in the waiting area, you will not be able to fully eat. Far from the city, if you take a taxi yourself to Sharjah, for example, it will cost a round sum, since the distance is more than 60 km, plus payment for boarding, plus a change of emirate
Well, Maktoum, like everything in Dubai, is gradually developing... and if at the beginning of the year it was a terrible airport on the outskirts, now it is quite decent. However, it is impossible to take a car there (well, or for some crazy money), buses, shuttles, they say, go, but I have never seen, so only a taxi, and if you fly out of it, and from there, respectively, too
The DWC airport code, when I was flying, did not pay attention, I thought there was one airport in Dubai. The most important nuance is that you can only get to it by taxi. I even tried to call Yandex, but honestly did not understand where he should have been met. I then corresponded in the chat and canceled the payment, took it on the spot.
The classic airport, which is overloaded, lives under the DXB code, and you can use the subway there and he lives a full life.
And DWC currently accepts only airlines from the Russian Federation and something small, we can say that it is empty. It was built once for expo2020.
Of course, you will find fast food there, but a normal snack is unlikely.
A large airport, 330 check-in risers, when I left there, only 3-4 worked, that's what I understand, they stand with a margin. On the 2nd floor, you can buy a lot of duty free goods, the prices are certainly not small, but if you have the opportunity, then please.
The worst airport I've ever seen. It is not popular, mainly low-cost airlines fly away from here, so there is NOTHING in it! one cafe with prices for coffee from 800 rubles. Of course there are no people, the feeling of the apocalypse. Check-in counters start working 2 hours in advance, so don't expect that you will arrive early, register and go to duty free. After passing through passport control, the feeling of an international airport more or less begins to appear. Huge duty free and that's it! there is no business hall, despite the fact that it is declared there. Again, an expensive cafe, and the poppy is packed with people. There are no sleeves, to the plane by bus. Plus, there are a lot of waiting places, but this is due to the fact that very few flights leave. That's why you quickly pass all the controls.
At the airport, everything is quiet, calm, customs and border are fine, correct. Well done. It's nice to arrive at such airports. Purity. Tax free without problems.
An unusual airport. Today is May 27, 2024, there are only 7 flights on the scoreboard. Victory is flying here. The airport is empty, there are almost no people. It's very clean, there's something like a carpet on the floor. Excellent, free wi-fi. There are few cafes, only Mac found them. There is no business lounge
Everything is fine! The staff, the service, the airport itself are top-notch! Kind and friendly attitude towards our citizens .GOOD LUCK AND GOOD HEALTH TO ALL!!!
So far, the airport is relatively undeveloped. There are few shops and cafes inside. There is no business lounge at all. You pass through passport control quickly - this is a plus. Upon arrival, go to the right, to the counters where the customs officer is sitting. Taking care of tourists, they give out a free SIM card and a welcome 1 MB of Internet on it. Feel free to insert it into your phone. For the first day you use it for free, then you want to replenish it, you don't want to just catch a free Wi-Fi in the shopping center. 🙂
Beautiful empty airport) it will be interesting to look at it in a few years. It's spacious and quiet there now. There is no pharmacist, one girl (Russian, by the way) runs all over the floor at all outlets🤦♀️
A large airport 40 km from the city center.
Arrival.
We were taken by bus from the plane - perhaps due to the fact that the Azimuth (which we were flying) as soon as it can, it reduces the cost of its flights. Customs passed quickly, about 8 booths worked. After customs, the luggage was already on the tape.
From the airport, you can take a taxi, of which there are a bunch at the exit, on which there is a sign about a taxi. Landing 20 dirhams. The Emirates Mall costs about 120 dirhams in total.
You can also leave by bus (runs every 30 minutes) to the final metro station Expo 2020, but for this there must be a transport card on which there must be at least 12 dirhams. There is a card replenishment machine near the bus stop, but it only accepts cash.
Departure.
Check-in starts 2.5 hours before departure. We arrived in 3, and the registration was already open.
Passport control is automatic - you approach, put your passport on the scanner, then the ticket and look into the camera yourself. If everything came together, the automation skips. There is an employee there who helps.
There are a couple of shops in the waiting area, the prices are slightly higher than in the shops in the city. There is a cafe on the second floor - at 5 in the morning only it worked. Near the exits there are vending machines with water, yummy and hot drinks.
There are many places near each exit. There are markings that include our plugs, so you can charge your phones.
From above, quick check-in for departure - it works here. Robot scanner, 2 minutes and done. The fastest flight check-in. The airport is on the 1st level, quite compact. But there is no sleeve, buses to help 🙈
A good airport, the staff will politely answer questions if asked. They will tell you where to go. I really liked that they automated it and you don't have to stand in a long queue, but you go through control and go to the departure zone.

It's a great airport. You can eat, sleep, rest, wait. The staff is excellent and friendly, everyone speaks English. I liked everything great, I advise you 👍
We got into some kind of random "check" at transport control when departing from Dubai. They just took her and her husband to a separate room, where they did not explain anything. They held it for 20 minutes, then it turned out that the floor of the plane was selectively kept under additional control. At the same time, they did not ask anything, they constantly talked to someone on the phone and asked "what happened?" They didn't answer. It's a terrible airport, there's a couple of fast foods to eat, there's nowhere to sit properly. Everyone sleeps on top of each other, much less duty free.
