A very beautiful theater, a wonderful interior, paintings and incomparable figures of ballerinas. The hall is small, cozy, and there are luxurious bathrooms on each floor. There is an elevator that goes up to the boxes. I did not have enough acoustics in the hall and there is a feeling of not very thoughtful seating arrangement, because I had to dodge to see the whole scene, and it was not always possible. The head in front of the person sitting always got in the way. I asked the neighbors, they have the same problem. After the performance, very beautiful colored dancing fountains were met on the street, which added a pleasant feeling to the magic. And there are dry sandwiches and not very fresh cakes in the buffet.
A beautiful atmospheric place. The lobby and bar are stylishly decorated
.The staff is in white suits, the girls look very aesthetically pleasing. We are tourists, there was no Internet on the phone: the girls from the wardrobe helped with wi-fi to order a taxi. The chairs are conveniently located in the hall, the distance between the rows is quite large.
Small, fresh, elegant. There is not enough wide stairs to climb to the balconies, the elevator is too cramped for the audience leaving the performance at the same time. The chairs are quite comfortable, the light is good. Polite staff. Convenient parking.
Navigation is very beautiful and very thoughtful, convenient stairs, this is very important for the theater)
Only in the restaurant you want to have a snack not with berries and fish canapes, but to eat something more satisfying, because most people go to performances after work
I've been to several events at the Almaty Theater and I liked it. A beautiful theater, new opportunities for productions and performances. I was impressed by the cars on the stage that were at the car presentations and in the musical) I want as many events as possible to take place here
I was at the ballet,"Gabrielle Chanel" with Svetlana Zakharova. Bravo to the ballerina and the Bolshoi Theatre troupe! But I didn't like the building very much. We were sitting on the balcony in the 5th box - we had to bend down to see the whole scene. There are only two elevators to get to the balcony, although there are stairs, but the entrance to them was closed. Therefore, it is not very convenient - after the performance there was a queue, and the elevator capacity is only 13 people.
The theater is simply beyond praise: a modern, beautiful interior, a very chamber hall with wonderful sound, an excellent reception service! A place where you want to come back to the concert!
There is no access by public transport, no pedestrian underpasses. With all the external splendor and pomposity, conditions have not been created for the most important person-the viewer. The stage is not visible from the boxes at all. Sitting on the armrest of the chair, you can see half of the stage-the depth. The entire scene can only be seen standing up. Why was the theater built at all, who designed it so illiterate, or what kind of builders built it? The interior is made of cheap building materials, the work is artisanal. I have never seen such squalor in any theater. And this is with cloud-based ticket prices. Our Kazakh show-offs are in action, and there is, forgive the banality, corruption. No more steps into this advertised cultural center, which demonstrates a disdainful attitude towards its audience. The old cozy GATOB is better.
Beautifully designed modern design. Julia was at the musical. I liked everything, both the performance of the actors and the adaptability of the production, when the scenery changes during the performance. There were queues at the buffet for the whole of Antarctica and the prices of space, as everywhere in theaters. Why should a sandwich be sold for 3-5 thousand, and a glass of sparkling wine for 5? Set prices that are affordable, there will be more willing people or do not sell at all. The people are both desirable and expensive. This applies to all theaters! Be more humane!
The theater is beautiful and modern. But there are disadvantages:
- the visibility of the stage from the boxes is not very good. The stage is blocked by black crossbars, and up to half of the stage may not be visible on the side boxes.
- the wardrobe is exactly opposite the exit. In the cold season, it is very uncomfortable to stand in line when it blows from the street. Were. In the theater in winter. We froze while we were standing behind our outerwear.
- there are almost no benches near the wardrobe. It is very inconvenient, you have to dress on the weight, or put things on the floor.
I am surprised by the size of the hall. It is not very rational to take an excellent geolocation, invest a lot of money and build a very small hall and related premises. The city needs a large concert hall.
The architecture of the building is not standard and awkward. You can comfortably watch performances only from the stalls and several places on the balconies. It is not possible to watch performances from most places, because the railings interfere. You have to watch standing up, and the theater is positioned as a ballet theater, which implies getting a visual experience more than an auditory one.
My favorite theater. New and clean. It's beautiful inside. Most importantly, the chairs are positioned so that each next row is directly above the previous one and even in the back rows you can see perfectly.
We were on 13.12.2023 at the "Nutcracker" with the participation of the stars of the Royal Ballet. Of course, we were completely delighted with the performance itself. But the building itself leaves much to be desired. Yes, it is undoubtedly a beautiful and modern building. It is worth noting separately the comfortable distance between the rows (you do not need to get up to let someone pass, the legs are comfortable). But the main disadvantage is the cold and a terrible draft. It was very cold in the lobby. Already in the hall, the back and back of the head were terribly blown from the open doors, as if they were standing on the street. Poor theater workers - in such a draught in caprons and shoes😱 During the intermission, it was impossible to sit because of the draft, and to walk too, because there was a feeling of being outside. As a result, visiting the ballet cost a runny nose and chills. Some visitors did not hand over their outerwear - this was the most correct decision.
The chic interior of the modern theater adds eccentricity and entertainment to any production. We were at the musical Julia, the beautiful songs of the group accompanied by young vocalists of the southern capital, left a gorgeous, magical trace of art in my memories.
There is so much beauty around us that is worth noticing. Simple things like sunrise or birdsong can fill us with joy. It is important to appreciate these moments and share them with others. Beauty inspires creativity and makes our lives brighter. Let's find beauty in every day and treat it carefully.
The impressive interior, the chairs are comfortable and the arrangement of the rows is thought out for a better view. The interior changes deftly and silently, giving the impression of complete immersion. The girls are beautiful at the entrance to the hall
There are no problems in the summer, everything is fine! But winter came and it became extremely uncomfortable to visit the Almaty Theater. Firstly, the paths and steps in front of the building were not cleared of snow - it was slippery, especially for girls in heels. Secondly, it is very cold inside, blowing not only in front of the entrance to the hall, but also in the hall itself. It got a little better after the doors were closed. And the most important test of the evening was the queue in the wardrobe, because it is located right in front of the open doors to the street, and outside -18 °. I don't know who is to blame - the designers or the administration, but measures need to be taken urgently!
In general, the theater is new, and therefore beautiful and interesting. But there is 1 BUT! Who designed the seating arrangement in the hall?? They are arranged in rows 2-2, and if you are taller than 180cm and got into the back row of two-be prepared, it's tighter there than on an airplane in economy class. Choose in advance, I hope this will help not to spoil the overall, pretty good impression of this theater 🙌
The place is beautiful. It is a pity that they are rarely used for performances and concerts. Tours rarely come. Large parking lot. There's plenty of good stuff in the bar. Comfortable chairs in the hall. Good acoustics
In this theater, I liked only the troupe of the Astana Opera and Ballet Theater😍😄
The theater is like a theater. The ceiling is inlaid with thousands of light bulbs. The stage is well equipped for a change of scenery.
Great theater! New modern equipment, new high-quality interior, comfortable chairs, convenient location in the city center and lots of Parking for cars!
A beautiful theater. Unusual architecture. We need to open the second buffet on the third floor. By the time you get down to the first floor, you have to go back
The most unsuccessful, uncomfortable and losing theater in the city. So much money has been invested, in a prestigious area and all on show. A beautiful facade is a wrapper, but in fact everything is deeply disappointing. All these kilometer-long alleys leading nowhere, 4 floors do not understand why, an expensive buffet and an elevator are dust in the eyes. The theater is completely unsuitable for the viewer, it is uncomfortable inside. Firstly, all these high ceilings, long corridors and huge empty spaces are driven by terrible drafts. Everyone writes about them. It's not just cool or slightly blowing, but the winds are blowing! Wherever you are, it blows into your neck, into your back, pulls at your legs. Secondly, it is not known what measurements were taken into account, but the seats in the boxes are right next to the partitions in front, so that the legs cannot be straightened, you need to sit with your legs strictly vertical. The chairs themselves are also uncomfortable, the armrests are not separate handles, but such a single frame with a seat and a backrest, so that you cannot turn around in it, do not change your position. The distance between the rows is close, head to head. Well, the most disgusting thing that could be thought of was thick metal crossbars like a safety railing right in the center of vision. And very far from the stage, without a telescope there is no way to see anything. I don't know how in the stalls, the prices are just crazy, so most of the people go to the box (balcony), but not only do you have to sit chained in a confined chair and have nowhere to put your feet, so this piece of iron stretches in front of your nose, which covers the entire view. Well, can a competent specialist come up with this?! We went to the ballet. For half an hour they arched, sliding down from the seat, under the crossbar, and, conversely, stretching their necks. From the neighboring rows, the same exhausted people spat and sat down right in the aisle on the steps. Super! Paying a lot of money to hide somewhere on the floor like left-wing stowaways. Well, we couldn't stand it, our backs ached and our mood deteriorated from looking for a convenient angle to see at least something on stage. We left and will never come to this deplorable theater again.
It's a very good theater. A modern building with good architecture. interior decoration, high-quality sound and lighting equipment. But the most important thing is the hall! Very convenient layout of the seating arrangement in depth and height. A very good view of the stage and excellent acoustics. Excellent technical equipment of the stage . The staff is polite and friendly. Bravo!
Winter. A beautiful theater building. We do not enter through the main entrance where metal detectors are installed, but from the back entrance on the side, we are met by who would have thought... The air conditioner is icy, it blows so that it is colder than outside. It would seem that these blowers are usually heaters on top, but not in this theater, there are their own standards of service. We show the quarter codes for the entrance, 3 people are allocated for this, but it was still very long and cold in this corridor with ice air conditioning, especially for ladies in dresses. To the question of why cold air blows, and not warm, the answer is I don't know. Inside there is a huge high ceiling, a large hall with pleasantly walking winds. The queue in the wardrobe in an icy draft is the second test for an evening dress and your health. The seats in the boxes on the sides are made ingeniously, the pipe is thick black, which, for safety, covers the entire view of the stage, you either stretch up or go down in the chair, 30% of the stage is not visible thanks to an incomprehensible box for lighting devices (which could be hung three times more compact and closer to the wall, but it is probably more important that the lighting master can put a couch there than a view for the viewer on the stage). It is very pleasant to see through the door throughout the performance. If someone decides to come out, then you are hit with an ice bag and a sound one. If you did not take extra warm clothes to the gym, you will freeze. People were coughing, sneezing, snotting, all thanks to the competent design of this modern theater. There was no break, so there was no way to evaluate the buffet. Downstairs, our favorite frost was waiting for us at the wardrobe and a huge queue. Exit through the entrance with metal detectors, suddenly what.
Not a bad place... Let's wait until the theater is fully operational for its intended purpose. And it won't just take a place on the most beautiful street in Almaty
A chic hall, good acoustics, cleanliness and order. The staff greets you politely, when necessary, and provides support. There will be a (restaurant) open, a large assortment of food for children.
Not the expectation of disappointment. The Nutcracker was just terrible. With such a ticket price, it was cold in the hall and lobby and the music was on the record, what else can I say. Bullying.
Almaty theater is undoubtedly one of the modern attractions of the city. Various cultural events are always held here, the best artists and groups perform. The interior space is also striking in its beauty. The auditorium is quite large, but at the same time compact. Among the disadvantages, unjustifiably inflated prices in bouquets can be noted. However, it is everyone's choice whether to buy or not.
I don't like the interior. It's kind of chemical for the theater. Too much metal. It's not cozy. But the fancy light and sound slightly compensates for perception.
It's a very beautiful theater! Modern design and nice beautiful ballet. I really liked it, I think that everyone needs to visit this theater! I give 5 stars to the theater.
Cozy, beautiful and stylish. A warm, warm atmosphere. Friendly staff. Convenient parking.

July 14
It was on July 13, 2024 at the play "Love and Doves". I personally liked the theater itself, BUT the buffet is not what I liked or disliked, not high-quality treats is a violation. For 4,000 tenge, I bought a glass of champagne (prosecco) and a sandwich with caviar, which turned out to be dried bread with dried caviar, as if the cakes were cooked the day before; for a theater, especially such, this is unacceptable.
Positive:
Bright, pleasant interior. Beautiful view of the city from the panoramic windows of the lobby. The staff is polite and attentive. An interesting, diverse repertoire.
Cons:
Less than a year after the opening, the interior looks already tired. The prices for the performances are too high.
There is a lot of pathos, and the hall and the restroom and even the "restaurant" (in kovychki because in addition to a glass of drink there are pies and mini croissants), and the hall is sad (((small, the sound is disgusting... But the chairs are comfortable.
