We were in early July 2024 at the Altyn Kargaly sanatorium hotel in Almaty. The sanatorium itself is located within the city, green, well-groomed, there are many blue fir trees, trees, roses, flowers on the territory, mountains are visible, there is a pond with fish, a swimming pool, a winter garden.
Upon arrival, they put us in a detached cottage, the room is dead, the furniture is old, the bed creaks and is about to fall apart, the refrigerator, what it is, what it is not, it seems to work, but it does not cool, the TV is working. The room was cleaned every day, after 5 days the bed and towels were changed. Bottled water for 18 liters for 2 rooms is in the vestibule, it was immediately changed. Ants appeared in the room 2 days before check-out.
It did not work out to use the ironing room, 2 irons for the entire sanatorium, at the reception they gave these irons to the room and then searched for 2 hours where these people were. I had to buy an iron so as not to be nervous and iron my things calmly.
The dining room is called a restaurant and immediately a shock!!! For all the 9 days that we were here, all the food was served in the large hall cold and on a residual basis. The only time for dinner, when we came half an hour earlier and brazenly, we managed to eat hotter. Everything is not organized, the waiters follow each other in a circle. You beg them for food for you. (Vacationers in the full sense of the word fight for food). There wasn't a single day that someone didn't fight with them. The tea table is just tin. People are like kites on kettles, tea leaves, milk, lemons and boiling water. In other sanatoriums, all this is ALWAYS already on the tables.
You will not be able to wash your clothes, there is no basin in the room, but you can do laundry in the laundry room for a fee.
We didn't want to receive treatment, so we can't say anything.
There is no Internet or Wi-Fi at all, but as soon as you leave the territory, everything is there.
The last fat minus was promised that the doorman would come to help carry the luggage, he did not come at all, they carried suitcases and bags themselves.
The sanatorium was not impressed.

I rest in the sanatorium 4 times I really like the territory, the food is well organized, the attentive attitude of the staff to requests and wishes is clean, cozy and calm there is a trinajor hall tennis billiards from the treatment baths shower massage and the coolest thing is a swimming pool with a steam room almost every day I really like it.

The food is on the level of a good Soviet canteen, but the serving is not always on the level. We ate cold dishes for three days out of five.

In the dining room, with a proud inscription - Restaurant, chaos and indifference of some "waiters". Literally, you have to fight for food. Out of 8 days, I managed to eat hot food a couple of times - the rest of the time it was cold. In order not to starve, we went to a cafe nearby. In general, the impression is not very good!

This is a wonderful sanatorium! When it was built (1979) it was a suburb! Now it is in the city, but with its own microclimate due to the large territory and very competent landscaping. There are many conifers-huge firs, willows, birches. Comfortable luxury housing. The dining room is a restaurant. The winter garden is a delight! Very good sanatorium treatment! I just had a course of treatment there-wonderful!

I had a room in a cottage, and all the cottages don't have air conditioning. Plus, the ventilation is not working properly either in the room or in the bathroom. And imagine what it was like for me to be there in the July forty-degree heat, when even at night the temperature is at 25 °C. They reacted to my complaints carelessly, the staff will avoid you to the last or lie outright, just not to solve the problems - the fan, so that somehow it was possible to stay in the room, was carried for 3 days, linen and towels were replaced for 4 days. Avoid this place at all costs!

The sanatorium has outlived itself! We booked a standard single room, but upon arrival it turned out that they do not have such rooms, although there are on the website in the price list! There is no sanatorium treatment, you need to sign up for a massage (it turns out) in advance! There are no water procedures either, because there is no hot water and all this costs 230 thousand in 10 days! The food depends on which team is working!

So there are no baths, you won't get them, by the way, even the patients don't have enough bread. Mom was just shocked and waited for the appointment until almost eleven, the patients were not fed, they said allegedly we indicated to you in the ticket that the appointment was late and there was nothing to go in advance. Like they didn't have enough space and my mother was put in a cottage, it was a kilometer away, then somehow my mother ran the next day and they moved her at least to the building. A few procedures were prescribed, the doctor resisted you coughing and did not give a bath, and no persuasion from my mother that she was coughing because she had chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma did not get right. So think about it before you go there and generally buy your parents a ticket, you will be left without food and without procedures, but if you can take them shouting and cheekily at least get procedures, but you see you will have to buy food.
