Only if there are no other options
Air conditioning, safe, keys, hot water do not work. Noise from the windows and dirt on the streets and in the room.
There are two types of hotel problems. The problems of the hotel itself and the problems of the environment.
The problems of the hotel are ascending:
- Dirty bathroom and poor room cleaning.
- Breakfasts without animal proteins, i.e. no gastronomy, no fish, no chicken. There was cheese. There were slightly spicy delicious vegetables, but it is risky to eat unusual dishes before excursions.
- The door key card stopped working every day. I had to go down to the reception and solve the problem.
- There was one set of towels in the double room. There was no towel under my feet. we checked in in the evening, immediately asked for another set. The additional set did not appear the next day, but the day after, in the afternoon on the second day of stay. It gets funnier. In the evening at the 11th hour, there was an insistent knock on the door. I didn't want to open it, but after knocking again I had to. They brought another set of towels, and a third. Thank you, very much in time.
- Hot water constantly and strongly changes the pressure. It does not work out to adjust, there are very frequent changes. It turned out to wash by setting the temperature according to the hottest phase of the water. When the pressure weakened, he just poured water on the bottom and waited for it to warm up.
- There is a safe, but it cannot be used. The photo shows that the batteries are old, dented and even one pierced in an attempt to revive. But most importantly, the safe is not secured, take it and take it away!!! I had to carry cash and documents with me at all times.
- The air conditioner does not work on cooling and is noisy. He's just driving from the air. The heating was not checked. Therefore, you have to open the window, and from it you can hear all the sounds of Giza's life. (Yes, this is Giza, not Cairo. Cairo is on the other side of the Nile)
Now about the location issues. Probably a year or two ago, the location of the hotel was normal. On a wide street leading to the Pyramids. But then they started building subways and car interchanges on this street. The street has become impassable for most of its length. As a result, it is difficult to drive up to the hotel. Because of the construction, noise, dirt and the movement of cars and pedestrians is disrupted. The photos from the balcony show the construction of a transport interchange and a subway. Piles of garbage are visible. The constant beeping of vehicles can be heard through the open window due to the stuffiness https://vimeo.com/810278640 . And at night, when the city falls asleep, the dogs start barking at random passers-by or rare cars. I woke up several times thinking that a dogfight had broken out. But no, just barking at everything that moves https://vimeo.com/810278514
