Among the disadvantages: in winter there is an ice pool (not heated), the sun beds are broken, it is unpleasant to lie down on them. The breakfasts and dinners are disgusting! No cheese, no sausage, everything tasteless, poorly cooked from cheap products. Drinks from small plastic cups. There is nothing to eat except dates.
The location of the hotel on the map seems good (opposite Dubai Marina Mall), but there is no crosswalk nearby. You need to get to the subway and cross this road. It turns out to be a 30-minute walk to this shopping center, and a 40-45-minute walk to the beach! By taxi to the beach is 25-30 dirhams. 10-15 min walk to the metro.

When we checked into the room (3 people), it turned out that we were given only one towel (and this is a 4* hotel....
After several requests to bring us at least two more towels, they brought us another one)))
The next morning, after going down to the reception and asking the administrator to provide us with towels, a miracle happened and they brought us 3 towels, worn, torn somewhere, but clean)))
What was our surprise when we returned from the beach after lunch and found that after cleaning we had only one towel left....
Later they began to put them in the closet..

Those who did not like the hotel obviously do not understand the realities of Dubai ...))) In terms of price/ quality ratio, this is the best hotel in the city! The chic JLT area, awesome views (just ask for a higher floor), near the metro and the Marina. There is also a Carrefour supermarket right below, and not expensive cafes, including a cafe with "homemade" food, which perfectly replaces expensive hotel food.
And the reality of Dubai is that it is cheaper than this hotel - only hotels in the garbage district of Deira with cockroaches and dead furniture, and there will be a lot of muddy people and crowds of prostitutes on the street...
So the Armada is a great hotel, I've been there 3 times. The only disadvantages are very dirty windows and stupid staff. Because of dirty windows, it is better to take rooms with a balcony, they are clean there, and you can enjoy the views on the balcony itself.
By the way, a few years ago the hotel was better - it was much cheaper, there was a transfer to the beach, there were Russian-speaking Kazakhs at the reception, and in general there were a lot of Kazakhs by the way. But apparently the hotel was outbid, it got a little worse, but overall it's also good.
