Tantuni* is a famous street food originating from Mersin, a city on Turkey's Mediterranean coast.
Thinly sliced meat is chopped with a knife and sautéed on a griddle, then wrapped in lavash bread. It has an extraordinary flavor – you might become a regular after just one try.
Ayla Tantuni has brought this taste to Almaty. It's extremely delicious and almost identical to the version in Turkey. You can try it as a wrap or with yogurt, like a kebab – both versions are perfect. There’s also a chicken option for those who don’t eat red meat, which is equally tasty.
Clean establishment, reasonable prices, hygienic restaurant, and attentive staff.
This place deserves a full five stars in its category. I highly recommend trying this flavor!

Yes, the service here may be a little lame. But regarding the food: a good tantuni with good meat (both chicken and beef), with excellent spices, fresh herbs. Despite the fullness, they quickly give orders and take the trash off the table. This is a place that is fast, tasty, high-quality and you can return to.
