A place remote from any civilization in Abkhazia. On the positive side - inexpensive, clean sea, if there is no storm, a 5+ restaurant and a very friendly restaurant staff. Everything else is very sad - the staff is tired, the young girl was at the reception all the time for 1.5 weeks that we rested, she looked very talkative all the time - how you got me all. I felt very sorry for her. The maids are not on all floors. If you are lucky and have a maid, then everything is more or less, and if not, be ready to take care of yourself. Nothing is invested in development. A place of rest for Russian pensioners, especially in the autumn period. But people are coming back to this place, so it's not that bad. I wish this place a real owner and then everything will be fine there.
The beach is great! Quiet, calm) In places there is sand, mostly pebbles, in the larger water on the smaller shore. Sun beds (not enough) canopy (one) umbrellas (not enough) you can sit in the shade of trees. The beach is clean, toilet, shower, water shop is available, cafe on the 2nd floor. The water in the sea is clean, sometimes it brings twigs and stuff by storm, but there is no household garbage, there is a mountain river on the right, during rain it brings dirty streams from the mountains, but you can go further to the left and everything is fine)) the air is sweet, it's a pleasure to breathe it in, the birds are singing, the views are fabulous)) I really like it 👍🏻
We have been vacationing since 2006, already 11-12 times. There were also this August 2024. A lot has changed for the better: service, services, beach, Room repairs, of course, such a homegrown, made by specialists from neighboring countries! But sitting in a room on the Black Sea is a big stupidity! The choice of food has become more modest. But Abkhazia itself has been transformed for the better! We went to Ritsa, Pitsunda, Sukhum, New Athos, Gagra with pleasure. The country is growing and flourishing!
We visited the boarding house for the first time, we really regretted that we came for just a week, a quiet place, beautiful nature, the weather was pleasant, the sea is warm, the beach is nearby, there are disadvantages, but for others, maybe these are advantages!
A wonderful place to relax, a quiet place, the nearest highway is 20 minutes away by car along the serpentine. The beach is pebbly, the sea is a few minutes from the boarding house. And what a nature, mmm, and the air is filled with the aromas of flowering trees, only eucalyptus trees are worth it!
The water, the beach, the pines, the air are five! The water is clear, you can swim to catch fish near the rocks. The bottom is shallow about 30 meters from the shore.
There is a natural shade from the overhanging relict pines. A cool breeze is blowing from the forest. A mixed sandy and pebble beach.
The sun beds are free. There are shade zones and umbrellas. At lunchtime, the beach is generally dying out. As we understood, there are very few visiting guests from outside the boarding house. Sometimes a ship with tourists comes to see...
well, as usual, we take off the stars for garbage, concrete, metal skeletons of former civilizations. The pipe goes from some new building from the mountain directly into the pebbles of the beach. Inside.... Think for yourself what is flowing down this thick pipe... The boarding house itself does not have such a pipe (it was not customary at that time to do so).
The retaining wall of the former civilization has been washed away, and the restoration of its current one is beyond the power.
Entrance to the territory is paid 200 rubles.
A beautiful beach! There are trestles and canopies, shower, toilet, water for feet and shoes when leaving the beach. A cafe is open. The length of the beach is about 1 km. You can sit on the sidelines, where there are fewer people. Although there are few vacationers in the center of the beach. The sea is clear, the water is clear if there is no storm.
I love Mussera. We rested for the third time with our daughter. But for the first time in autumn, in late October - early November. I really liked it. There is a desire to return at the same time.
It is sparsely populated, the peace and beauty of nature are amazing. The cafe was no longer open, but it didn't bother us much. But the lack of opportunity to buy local fruits is frustrating, I had to go to the market in Gagra and Gudauta.
A good beach for vacationers of the boarding house. Lacoba. There is no cleaning service. The sunbeds are being pulled apart and broken.
Large pebbles, sand can be found in the water, but already at a sufficient depth. The water is clean. Since 2024, the number of sailing boats with excursions has increased significantly.
Beautiful sea, very nice beach. The place is remote from the main highway, it is problematic to leave. The boarding house is old, the rooms are in poor condition, the food is not bad.
I love Mussera.
All that can be said about Abkhazia and the Abkhazian Sea is here.
A minus? This is a paid toilet at a paid entrance to the territory. and the entrance does not matter if you go to the beach or to the cottages. you still need to pay a flat rate.
Very pleasant impressions. The water is the purest in the sea. The staff is courteous. We walked along the shore on the colorful pebbles, forgetting all our worries
The beach is really nice and sparsely populated.Entry is paid (for 2024 200 rubles per car). Be vigilant! They are allowed to have a tent at the pass, but the next day you are presented with a claim that you did not inform them and demand a fine of 15 t.r. You CANNOT have a TENT, you CANNOT HAVE a BONFIRE! The beach is cleaned by the hotel- badly, but it cleans. The entrance to the sea is good and the sea is gentle. You can go through the dam to Gorbachev's residence - nothing remarkable, but the location is green, well-groomed, and there is a cafe.
I didn't like it, we went to the sandy beach. Entry to the territory cost 700r or 800r per person, after paying we got to the territory, the price included a visit to Stalin's dacha, but this no longer represents any historical value, since the guide was disgusting, only on the ground floor he muttered a few facts under his breath, then let everyone walk around the rooms. The cottage is unkempt, moreover, I will say that the original appearance has not been preserved there, the plastic ceiling, old, dirty spits, and in the bathrooms bright cheap rugs near the plumbing, in general, it is a so-so sight.... were in other dachas, there is something to compare. And paid sun beds on the beach, for 500 rubles, which is not included in the cost of arrival on the territory. There is very little sand, entering the sea is inconvenient. We won't go there anymore.
The beach is super! I recommend coming here and just sunbathing, Even though entry is not free per person 400 rubles. There is a place to walk here. Just don't go to Gorbachev's restaurant, it doesn't taste good there!
All the booklets say that there are "golden sands" here, but this is not the case. Yes, the guide told me that when the state cottage was built, sand was brought here. But nature takes its toll, so here is sand + pebbles. When entering the water, there will already be pebbles under your feet.
But the place itself is incredibly beautiful, quiet and harmonious.
If you want to have some privacy, then in general you can come here. But just remember that this is a state-owned cottage, you just won't get there.
I came to Mussera with an excursion.
The water in the sea was very clear that day. The bottom is visible! I was confused by a lot of not very live jellyfish and a strange smell. Not from the water, but rather from the air. It's not very well equipped. A few people from the local sanatorium. I didn't notice a cafe in the area, but I wasn't looking for it either. I only came across a shop with ice cream and lemonade.
A picturesque place, the same sea, but completely different than in Sochi. And it seems to be even saltier. The beach is sandy and pebbly. It's a pleasure to relax.
The beach is great. Probably the best sea view in Abkhazia, taking into account that the descent is organized from a steep mountain. Descent by elevator.
There is a toilet on the second floor of the ramp, where shops and a cafe are also located nearby. On the 3rd floor (conditionally, because there are only 1st and 2nd floors in the elevator) there is a restaurant with a wonderful view of the sea.
Sunbeds should be occupied early in the morning. The shore is being cleaned, since the territory is de facto under the jurisdiction of the relevant sanatorium.
16.07-29.07.23. The water is the purest. We swam in the morning, in the evening, at night. Only delight. The length of the beach is more than a kilometer.
There are sun beds and umbrellas for free. But in limited quantities in the central part of the beach by the elevator.
The toilet is free of charge. There is water when leaving the beach - rinse your feet.
The beach itself is clean. Pebbles and sand. It hurts when entering the water, it is better for sensitive people to have special slippers. You can buy it on the spot.
Two small shops: a grocery store and one with clothes, shoes and other accessories for swimming.
There is a cafe and a restaurant on the beach. You can eat at the restaurant of the pension Musser for a fee (13th floor, there is an outdoor area with sea views).
Cash payment (I can't say about the cafe and restaurant on the beach, I haven't been there).
Descent to the beach by elevator. On the bridge, there is a passage to the elevator, a small ramp is made, you can drive in a wheelchair. But at the very bottom there are three flights of 8 steps without a ramp.
There is a stunning forest around. There's a lot of shade to hide in in the heat. There is a place to walk.
Next to Stalin's and Raisa Gorbacheva's cottage, excursions are held there, the territory itself is very beautiful.
Deserves a score of 10. Now I can say with confidence that this is my favorite beach. I will definitely come here again in the summer. Clean, the sea is transparent, the air is fabulous. There were no entertainers in winter, but we, lovers of silence, do not need it. We just enjoyed the absence of people and nature!
A very interesting place. I drove by car to the parking lot of the boarding house (it seems 200 or 300 rubles for the whole day. Turn off the highway near the traffic police, then on a good road for 20 minutes. I took the elevator down to the beach. A very beautiful view opens from the observation deck. I bought, got acquainted with the guests of the boarding house. I went to the left along the shore to look at the "tent city" - houses hanging on the mountain. Walk for 15 minutes. Then I ate in a cafe-very tasty. The locals say that you can join the sailing tour groups and get free excursions to the dacha of Stalin and Gorbachev. That is, excursions are already free, but it also costs a little money to go there by car (on the other side of the boarding house).
In general, the day spent in this place was liked and remembered.
A great place for a beach holiday. There are enough places for everyone.Umbrellas and sun beds are certainly not enough for everyone, although the size of the beach line allows you to increase their number.
You can find shade under the trees.
The beach is clean.
Pebbles.
Take coral slippers.Changing room, foot shower.
Cafe on the beach , shop.
The beach is super, the place is just awesome. Pines are a bomb. In general, the view is very beautiful and the air is pleasant. The Boarding house itself, of course, is 3. The word "service" in Abkhazia is not familiar to anyone. However, so is the word "repair". The room is clean, although there are not always enough sun beds. It is necessary to borrow. In our best traditions) The sea is clean. There is no one around ... 10 kilometers away. The reserve.
The sun beds are broken, there are not enough of them for vacationers. The boarding house does not clean the beach much, there is a lot of construction debris (concrete, reinforcement). The beach itself is sand and pebbles, periodically brings household garbage.
The beach belongs to the Musser boarding house. The sea is clean and even differs in color from Gagra because it seems to be even the territory of the reserve. There are sun beds on the beach from the boarding house. There are toilets, showers, a cafe on the ground floor where you can drink coffee and a more advanced establishment on the second floor with a good cook, pleasant waitresses and music. Anyone can visit these cafes, not necessarily vacationers of the boarding house.
A good beach, few people, mostly pensioners. There are umbrellas and sun beds. The sea is clear. The car fare is paid. There are great views along the way.
I returned from the Musser boarding house on July 30th!
I am very grateful to my friend, she helped me buy aquasocks, I put them on in the room, went to the elevator, went down to the beach, went into the pool and swam!!! The sea was warm, mostly clear, and the waves were small. I swam twice a day - that's why I came :)!
to be honest, the beach is dirty, there are some pieces floating on the surface of the sea. at 9 o'clock in the morning we arrived, we found a picture: 5-6 cows came from nowhere and began to defecate (sorry for the details) by the sea.
there are enough people on the beach, it's noisy. it is not clear where such admiration comes from, but we will definitely not come here again
Hello! In April 2024, we had a vacation with the Novaya Zvezda Company at the Musser boarding house. There were 77 of us. From all over the country, from Kaluga to the Far East!
Only a good impression was left from the rest!Beautiful places, beautiful sea water, wonderful air!
A gorgeous buffet! Thank you for your hospitality!!!
Definitely the best beaches of Abkhazia here, I couldn't get enough of the azure sea, colorful soft sand and a variety of vegetation! And most importantly, there is no one!
We visited Abkhazia and after a long journey decided to swim in the sea there. I've heard a lot about the Musser boarding house and really wanted to see the famous beach with an elevator. We left the main road (Sukhumi highway), went down a steep serpentine for 20 minutes, they let us into the boarding house for 200 rubles. and it was worth it. Small bay, warm clear sea, beach sand/small pebbles. We were thrilled! Maybe someday I would consider it as a place for a vacation.
The beach is clean enough, the smell of eucalyptus is simply amazing, free sun beds and umbrellas, very few people. Gorbachev and Stalin's dacha is nearby. The only thing I didn't like was the menu at a local cafe, not only is everything very expensive there, but there's nothing to choose from!) So it's better to take food with you if you're going to visit this place)
Great place! Clean sea, beautiful beach! The air is saturated with the sea and pine needles! The boarding house itself has friendly, polite and responsive staff. If at sea, then only to Mussera!
It is located on the territory of an almost closed boarding house, so it is free, not noisy, the beach itself is sandy and pebbly, the entrance to the sea is stones, the size is different, I would recommend rubber slippers for entry. There are no fences, the sea is practically open, the water is clean, waves are rare, small jellyfish come across. After 5 meters from the shore, you can already swim. There are sun beds and umbrellas. There is a cafe and a restaurant. The smell of the sea, the aroma of Pizzunda pines and the chirping of cicadas. It's almost paradise.I will definitely come again.I definitely recommend it.
Rest for pensioners, very calm. The service suited us, everything is clean. The restaurant is just wonderful. Everything is very tasty, thought out. We will definitely come again.
So, if you have ventured on a trip here, you are waiting for:
Lack of service
Very modest rooms
A fairly monotonous diet on the buffet
And what are the advantages? And they cover the disadvantages)
Magnificent view of the observation deck
Magnificent view from the dining room (don't fly with the crowd to the opening, come to the closing, there won't be a couple of gingerbread, but places to choose from)
Always an empty beach - it's almost wild. You can always retire with your family, loved ones or yourself away from everyone.
Mostly pensioners have a rest. There are very few young people.
Take the trouble to book tickets in advance - there is always a salt out in the season)
