Sukhum has a fairly long beach and embankments. During the entire stay (12 days), the sea was disturbed twice, and the rest of the days there was calm, the water was clean and transparent, there were pebbles near the shore, and after 1.5-2 meters sand was felt underfoot, the entrance to the water was not sharp, which is convenient for those who rest with children or do not swim very confidently. There are cafes, changing rooms, and fresh water showers on the beach. There are sun beds, umbrellas, but you can sunbathe on your own bedspreads or towels, there are also entertainment options (subs, catamarans, banana rides), you can take a ride on a yacht, a pleasure boat. The ads are not intrusive. No one is shouting into a megaphone. This beach is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday and enjoying the sea
Super beach is like a beach to throw pebbles into the water, take a walk in the evenings, stand on Princeton in the summer, there are a lot of stalls of different kinds, but in the summer there are people. It's much better to go there for the winter holidays 15g from the sea is just what you need the sun is just in the theme in short cheap angry
One of the advantages is that the little people and no one makes CURUPAITI HOOOORAAAYYYY CORN, or Souvenirs. You can find a quiet place to swim and sunbathe in relative silence. There are a lot of small stalls along the beach where you can buy any drink, depending on your mood and wallet, and the time of day. There are many cafes and restaurants, with Wi-Fi and affordable prices
Nice beach. Personally, I didn't get a large pebble, but otherwise everything is fine. There are many cafes where you can have a full lunch or a light snack. Sun beds for 150 rubles, with an umbrella. The sea is rough, of course, but maybe I was just unlucky. And something needs to be thought out with toilets, well, it's not normal that they just don't exist (or I could only find one Soviet-era one that stinks a kilometer away, I was afraid to even approach it).
Sukhum has two impressions, the SEA is always cool, but the rest: a lot of garbage (although they try to clean up the beaches), ruins and burnt buildings are depressing. And so - beautiful nature, the locals are mostly good people. Bottom line: it is possible and necessary to go if someone was not there, I would visit again.
Gentle and warm, as well as Clean transparent sea, clean beaches. Very beautiful nature in a circle. At the moment, 1 of the best resorts where you can have a good rest!!!!!
The best beach on the embankment is with yellow umbrellas, opposite the Inter-Sukhum hotel. A good approach and no pitfalls) The only thing is to make normal toilets on the embankment. There is a toilet, but it is in the park and looks like in the Middle Ages, and you also have to pay money for it. It would also be nice to at least paint the embankment itself, it hurts to look at it
Few people. The entire infrastructure is there-umbrellas, sun beds, showers, changing rooms. There are few people, which is good. It is a pity that there are no signs regulating smoking areas. Crystal clear water
Great beach, great, I liked everything. You won't recognize the coast in the evening. Las Vegas is resting. We went in the middle of October, some fresh milk. Recommend 👍
The beach area is wide, the length is very very long, you can't get around it in a day. Entertainment, you can say, no. One banana for the whole territory, and a steamboat for an hour. Yes, there are cafes on the beach area, but it's kind of boring. In general, those who love silence, go there. There are no corn sellers and crayfish shouting on the beach: "smoked fish, boiled crayfish, raspberry berry." We love movement, so we were sad. Yes, there are not many people on the beaches. You won't have to take up space in the morning. There are sun beds and umbrellas.
The atmosphere of the sea city is present. Palm trees, banat trees, tangerines, clear sea. But it's not comfortable on the embankment: it's a little dirty, the embankment needs to be repaired. It's not a metropolitan view at all.
The most gorgeous beach in Sukhum, (Abkhazia).
Pebbles, good old pebbles. I was on this beach as a child 35 years ago.
Nothing has changed, everything is the same, just 35 years older.
Some parapets were out of order and they were closed.
In general, the beach is clean, cozy and comfortable, it was in June 2024, there were very few people.
There is a wide variety of cafes and various services nearby. You can rest, not stash)
The central beach has been well prepared for the 2024 season:
- Clear
- changing booths
- taps ala fresh water shower
- there are a lot more stalls and cafes, but eat here with care.
Sun beds from 250rubles per day.
The embankment is calm, and the rest in Sukhum is probably still for a more mature age, because there is not much entertainment for children, trampolines were fun with children almost every day, prices are the same as in Moscow.
Sukhum beach is great!!! My family and I chose a place and there we sunbathed, swam and ate fresh mussels and oysters in a cafe with pleasure!!! We all really enjoyed it!!!
The beach is not bad, it does not abound in attractions, but the main advantage is that there are not many vacationers. Everything you need to relax is at hand.
The beach is normal, pebbly. People depending on the season. The embankment is cool, in the center you can have a delicious khachapuri and barbecue in Nartaa, I recommend it!!!
I liked the beach - there are a lot of places, few people, no one bothers anyone, and the main thing is clean. Beauty! Of course not sand, pebbles... But the water is the purest. 2-3 meters into the sea and already deep. But the bottom is visible at the same time. I would like to see iron decking with handrails for entering and exiting the sea. This is very convenient, especially when there is a small wave. Anti-corals-in my opinion they are necessary, I can't walk barefoot on pebbles. Trampolines are installed on the beach - according to observation, the trampoline is popular not only among children, but also among adults. The beaches are equipped with changing cabins. That's the trouble with toilets.
The central beach of Sukhum leaves an unpleasant impression.Everything looks very shabby and unsightly, starting from cafes on the beach, ending with sun beds and umbrellas. But most of all, what is disappointing is the drains.I think it's far from safe to swim here.
Great beach, cleanliness, beauty, lots of cafes, lots of entertainment for kids and adults

There are many cafes, bars, restaurants right on the waterfront, stalls and shops with souvenirs and soft drinks, ice cream, there is a chaise longue and umbrellas, tents and children's playgrounds.
Sukhumi beach is clean, pebbly, there are showers everywhere, changing rooms are also evenly spaced. There is no pandemonium of people. Everything is fine
The beaches are pebbly, This year even the famous "Mocha" was not pleased with the sand, they say that these two storms in winter caused a lot of pebbles there. We swam (lived nearby) on the sections of the beach closer to the port, at the very end of the embankment of the Dioscuri, that is, less equipped for recreation. A year ago, these were just sections of a pebble beach, the only thing was a locker room and a shower, old, Soviet ones were still everywhere. This year there are new changing rooms, umbrellas, sun beds, gazebos, bungalows, cafes. There is more entertainment on the beaches closer to the city center, it will be more fun with the kids there.
An interesting place. There are many different establishments for every taste. What's cheap, what's expensive. The only negative thing for me is that there are a lot of people scurrying here in the season.
The embankment is relatively good. It is very beautiful closer to the center and the theaters. It is convenient that in the evening you can walk and take a walk. In Gagra, for example, the embankment is much smaller and there are also fewer places to visit.
City beach.
The infrastructure is not fully equipped, there are no toilets on the beach.
This is a minus.
But mostly everything is fine)
Sea, sun, small pebbles)
Everything you need to relax is there.
It is quite clean, but little inhabited beach. There are few people in the city, and even fewer vacationers. People are friendly. Suitable for family holidays
It is a very dirty place, the entire sewage system of the city seems to flow down to the sea, to the beach, it smells very strongly of sewage in places on the beach. The city of Sukhum has not been landscaped since the collapse of the USSR, nothing has been done. I do not recommend going on vacation to Abkhazia, the people have become dishonest. It is better to rest in Crimea, Dagestan, and Krasnodar Territory
The beach is free, shallow! There is cleanliness around, there are many outlets selling various products and cafes where you can have a nice time in hot weather, trying dishes of Abkhazian cuisine!
My whole family loves Abkhazia very much. But there is a big BUT ... On the beaches, of course, there are now sun beds and umbrellas and cafes. But the worst thing is that the dishonesty of the city ( sewage) merges into the sea , right off the coast . Yes, this is a common phenomenon for resort towns , but pipes go far into the sea , and here there are only 2 meters 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. Therefore, the intestine does not go through the whole season . Think about it !!!!!
The beach is clean, the pebbles are large, but you can find somewhere smaller. There are not many people in August, heaven and earth compared to Sochi. There are many cafes right on the beach, they even give dishes to the beach with them, with a return of course) the water is crystal clear and warm! We liked the beach for this, but there are many piers of the Soviet Union that have already collapsed.
The beach is pebbly, generally clean, our tourists do not know how to keep clean, unfortunately, the water in the sea is warm, not quite clean, small cafes, a lot of entertainment for children, a toilet within walking distance.
The sea, unlike the Tundra, is dirtier. But there is a cafe on the beach, which allows you not to change clothes and go for a meal or drink tea / coffee.
In Gagra, you need to change clothes every time, otherwise you will be fined for going out in swimming trunks / swimsuit
The beach is nice, but there are pebbles. You can take a taxi to Mocha for 250-350 rubles, for example. But walking, especially in the evening, is just wonderful
Everything is cool, the sea is 5+, the beach is 5+, there are Cafes, the prices are reasonable, the locals are friendly, very, very liked, no worse than Sochi, especially the Crimea, in general everything was fine.
The water is super, clean, and there is a cafe with wifi on almost every beach. Of course, it's scary to take food there in the heat. There are trampolines with water on the beaches, they ride bananas, you can rent sun beds and umbrellas
As always, it's wonderful! Quiet and peaceful. Both the beach and the water are clean. Changing rooms, showers, trash cans, cafes. Umbrellas and sun beds for reasonable prices. Toilets on the embankment.
About a private beach. Depending on the sector, the pebbles are from large to small. The cafe at the Marina (on Jonua Street) is excellent. Chebureks are just awesome! Beer in ice mugs! In general, it is much better than Mocha. And there are fewer people, and it's cheaper.
