A magical place!!!!!!
it captures with my head and I want to come back again and again
as an experienced traveler who has seen the zoo of many countries, I say - this is the best in terms of keeping animals!!
I ran from aviary to aviary better than any kid, took 100 photos / min and was just happy :)
and watching with your own eyes how comfortable the animals are there (as much as possible) is incredibly pleasant
The world famous zoo. The area where rhinos and pandas live is amazingly designed. Of course, it's a pity that the animals are in captivity, but all are well-groomed and beautiful! Goosebumps from impressions! The incredible giraffes brought tears to my eyes! I advise everyone to visit. I'm sure I'll be in Berlin again, I'll definitely go again!
Great happiness for the trainer of service dogs since 1988th year - the most numerous zoo in Europe and the world, as an option for applying knowledge of the theoretical foundations of training and the physiological foundations of behavior!
I will take off one star for the lack of an opportunity to visit the zoo in Berlin, a city familiar to Soviet citizens, on a 1943 T-34-76 tank with a cast turret...
I don't really like zoos, but this one was genuinely impressed: the animals are clean and well-groomed. Many have spacious aviaries where you can run or swim freely. In the process, there was no feeling of pity for the animals. We looked at several feeders - the penguins were especially memorable.
The zoo is quite small by German standards, but it was struck by the number and well-groomed animals and the fact that the animals are mostly not in cages, but behind moats. During the day, you can watch an animal feeding show. A magnificent collection of feline and nocturnal animals, for which the daylight hours were specially changed. You can visit the inside of the cage with the birds. Several hours flew by unnoticed even for adults.
A good zoo, especially in good weather. There are a lot of cafes . There are comfortable benches where you can relax, because the zoo is big. Be sure to visit the aquarium as well
One of the best zoos in the world! There are many rare animals . The aviaries are large, the animals have a place to walk . We were amazed by the pools where hippos live , transparent glasses and you can observe the life of these giants underwater ! A big gorilla family, very interesting! Pandas are fantastically cute. There are good cafes where you can take a break . One day is not enough !! I highly recommend it!
The largest zoo in Europe and the world. A huge territory . Gorgeous pavilions. Animals in comfortable conditions. Panda is super! But lazy , damn it ! There is a great cafe (I recommend to try sweets). I will come here more than once!
A wonderful zoo. We go every time we come to Berlin. A large and well-maintained territory. There is something to see and have a good time. Good conditions for keeping animals. Aviaries are as close as possible to the natural habitat. There is also a petting zoo. All animals are clean and well-groomed.
Have you ever been to one of the largest zoos in Germany?!
No zoo in the world has such a large number of animal species as here, in a relatively small area (35 hectares). I was especially impressed by the hippos, a separate house with a swimming pool was built for them, where they swim with pleasure and eat the rolls that are thrown to them during feeding.
The zoo is located in the center and can be easily reached by public transport from anywhere in Berlin.
My advice: if this is your first time in Berlin, then go to the zoo first. I guarantee you will be delighted!
A great place to walk with children in Berlin, it takes at least 4 hours to calmly watch all the animals, fish and birds collected in this zoo. It is not as big as in Munich and some enclosures are imho too small for the animals that live there, but they are still larger than the enclosures in the Moscow zoo, in which there is an outright genocide of animals.
I really liked it. I didn't notice any disadvantages. There are only advantages. A large green area . Well-groomed animals. Spacious aviaries. I really liked the aquarium with a lot of all kinds of exotic fish. I was there, however, 9 years ago.
We decided to come in with our son for a couple of hours and ....We lost track of time. A wonderful zoo, ideally an accessible environment for people with limited mobility has been thought out. You can spend the whole day with your family: there are also areas for eating, relaxing and privacy..changing tables for babies. And how many animals are there?! For the first time, we watched 8 elephants together at once! A separate 3-storey building, for aquatic life and insects. I really want to take my younger son, he loves and is interested in the animal world. I recommend.
It is not a very large area , but everything is located very conveniently and compactly. The animals are not in cages , but walking side by side through a small ravine . There are many shops to relax . There is a souvenir shop to the right of the entrance . If you go further, there will be a very cozy cafe.
A wonderful zoo. The animals are all well-groomed, there is a lot of vegetation. There is also an aquarium on the territory of the zoo. I went there and lost track of time, and eventually returned there the next day.
