Gorgeous view of Bodrum. The most beautiful sunrises and sunsets are observed from this place. The territory is dirty, there are a lot of fragments. It is good to visit 1-2 times. There is a nice cafe nearby where you can drink drinks and have a snack while waiting for sunset.
The symbol of the city is the mill. Currently, the ancient mills are in poor condition, I hope the ruins will be restored. A magnificent view of the sea and the city opens from above. The city itself is also beautiful - everything is white and bright. The streets are clean and lively. One of the most expensive cities in terms of life, it is not for nothing that it is considered a resort for wealthy people. We were at the central market - there is a point where they sell delicious adana kebab. I've never tasted this anywhere else!
The mills of Bodrum are a legendary place... but unfortunately, they are not operational and not much remains of them. You can easily walk from the embankment, in 30-40 minutes. In general, there is not much to look at, but it is absolutely worth climbing, because from the hill where they are located there is a stunning view.
We were here in the summer of 2024. The mills were destroyed, not a single windmill was preserved. In one of the mills, wooden gears have been preserved, which once powered a mechanism for grinding grain. The very location of the mills is located on a mountain between two bays of Bodrum. The panorama opens up beautifully. But the mills themselves were disappointed, there is a lot of garbage around, the mills seem to be used as toilets.... not exactly what I wanted to show the kids.
Nicely. It's spacious. It's windy. There is a place to park. I recommend the place! One mill has been restored, and everyone is taking pictures there. The ruined others are depressing, but not for long. You can get a coffee in the cafe.
4 stars in advance only for beautiful views in all directions, the mills themselves are generally unworthy of your attention, they are almost completely destroyed, except for one. The wind is crazy there, you feel freedom. There is a nice cafe next to a beautiful swing where you can take cool pictures.
One of the symbols, a popular souvenir and just a hyped location is windmills in a very poor condition. The view from the hill is not bad, on the one hand - Gumbet, on the other - the view of Bodrum. There is a lot of garbage drying at the mills themselves, and the observation deck is not equipped. An interesting place, it's a pity that it's in such a neglected state.
An interesting place on the peak of the hill. There are fragments of existing windmills.
Unfortunately, they are being watched and who does not take care of them.
It's quite windy on the hill. Great views are opening up
July 2024.
If you are in Bodrum, you can drive here yourself and see.
The mills were destroyed, although all the guides write that they worked in the 70s of the 20th century.
One is slightly restored, you can go in and see the design.
An open place, the temperature is over 40…
It's worth a look. I would even say because of the mills))) not because of the views.
A controversial issue.. Go or not... Go, it's better to take a taxi... Why.. Just because of the sunset views. It's a strange place, almost completely destroyed mills, terrible dirt and a huge amount of broken glass, but the views are decent... I need to go so that I don't regret that I didn't come after all.. The sun is the same for everyone, and sunsets are always different... It will take 30 minutes to do everything about everything, but impressions will remain and there will definitely be something to remember later
Terrible dirt. It's like a carpet of broken glass and swags underfoot. The mills themselves are ruins, just walls, some without roofs. The impressions are so-so. The views are beautiful, of course, but there are such in cleaner places
A beautiful place on a mountain range. The views are stunning both of the port and the bay. The mills themselves are in pristine condition, dilapidated. Nearby there is a small cozy cafe with sofas and pillows, quite authentic
The hotel was nearby, we climbed up to these mills ourselves, the mills themselves are nothing special, but the view that opens onto the city from this place cannot be conveyed in words, I recommend everyone to go and see
It's just some kind of abandonment, everything is broken, it's sooo dirty around, everything is covered in glasses and cigarette butts, it's terrible, not that they can restore, but they can't save
It sounds very beautiful and solemn:Windmills..
In fact, very modest ruins and not a single windmill.
But the views from the observation deck are downright epic.
I think if at least one mill was restored, people would queue up to take a picture.
the views are super, but heaps of garbage and bull bottles.the mills are dilapidated and they have a toilet inside))
you can just stop by once to see - for free.
If you want to look at a bunch of cigarette butts and goat feces, come here!!! I've traveled half the world, I've never seen such a pigsty anywhere!!!
Trudging through the heat for one photo of Bodrum?I do not recommend it!!!
From this place - very beautiful sunsets! It's best to come by this time. Beautiful photos are provided) even though the mills themselves are destroyed. But: there is a lot of garbage and broken glass underfoot, it is better to come in closed shoes.
Everything is very dirty. Please note that it is a very steep mountain to climb. If you walk during the day, you can definitely get sun and heat stroke, but the legs will pump, I guarantee. It is necessary to go in the evening, the views of the bay at night are simply amazing. There is a cafe and taxi parking at the top.
The place is beautiful. It is for the photo to see the expanse and surroundings of Bodrum from above. There is a lot of broken glass and garbage on the ground. I advise you to visit the place.
If we consider that all souvenir shops sell figures of these mills, we could put this attraction in order. At least for the sake of appearance, plastic blades were attached) There is garbage and broken glass all around, the mills look abandoned. There are no garbage containers. Feeling sad from their condition. You can climb only for the sake of beautiful views.
The mills themselves have a deplorable appearance, as well as the amount of garbage around. But going to them is 100% worth it, because the views around are such that you just rock. You feel like an ancient conqueror on the edge of the earth, and in the distance you can see Greece on the islands...
The business card of Bodrum is in a deplorable state around a pile of garbage and broken glass, homeless people live inside the mills. But the view from the mountain to the bay is magnificent, although there is a magnificent view from any mountain)
In sunny weather, you need to take care of hats and sunscreen in advance. The area is open, blown from all sides by the sea wind, it is very easy to catch heat stroke. As for the mills themselves, they are cylindrical dilapidated brick buildings. There is almost no infrastructure nearby, a small shop next to drinks is very expensive and that's it. If you have plans to have a snack, it's better to take everything with you
It's a beautiful view, it's better to come at sunset, it's easier to get up and it's not so hot. Take warm clothes with you in the evening. You can also see the Marina , where yachts and liners and the city are located . The time is 30-40 minutes to climb , go down much faster )
Very beautiful views of the two bays of Bodrum and Gumbet
Both sunsets and sunrises are magnificent from the mills
It's a shame that the mills are not being restored
And there is only garbage around, fragments from bottles
Everything is in a sad state
The main attraction of Bodrum, but in such a terrible state. These mills are on all the advertising booklets of the city, souvenirs.... Everything is destroyed, garbage, broken glass! The only thing is that the views of Bodrum and the surrounding area are very good!!!
The hotel was very close, so we were there quite often. The views are beautiful! But how much garbage and broken glass! It would not hurt to put the territory in order. And put the trash cans in!
It was very windy, just very windy when we were here. Accordingly, the wind carried garbage all over the area. The view is interesting, the mills themselves are dilapidated. I wouldn't go here on purpose, only if I looked in passing by.
