We stopped by on the way to the Ritz. A great place, first of all energetically - the inner calm envelops you when you stand at the top! Ruins of an old fortress, a temple. A stunning panorama of the Bzyb river and the surrounding area opens from above.
Don't be afraid of this ladder! Go to the top on the right side. This is a wonderful place! You will just get to New Zealand to the top of Amon Sul and the Lord of the Rings series. A fabulous and very unusual place.
The historical landmark of Abkhazia of the 10th century. One of the most visited places along the route to Lake Ritsa. An interesting ancient history of the temples of Abkhazia.
The session of ruin therapy was a success. Very atmospheric ruins of an ancient fortress/temple. A beautiful view opens from above. There is a place to sit, enjoy the silence and mood.
On the way to the Ritz, you can climb the stairs, some of the beams of the steps are already rotten, but in general the stairs are reliable if you walk carefully. Upstairs there is a beautiful view of the mountains and the river, you can sit on a bench and relax.
It's a very atmospheric place. But there are a couple of nuances. First: the stairs are very steep and some of the steps are missing, be careful. Second: the local "caretaker", who behaves aggressively, forbids taking photos, threatens the police and sending them to Ukraine...
It is a very beautiful place, the temple is made in the form of a cross, so you need to enter through the main entrance and go out to the left or right, you can put a candle and pray.
The place is incredibly beautiful! The Bzyb River flows nearby, and on the other side of the fortress you can see the hippodrome. I recommend you to visit.
Beautiful ancient ruins of the fortress. It is possible to climb the slope or the extreme stairs. From above, there is a breathtaking view of the surroundings of the village and the river.
The beautiful ruins of the fortress and the well-preserved walls of the temple. When descending the steps, you need to be careful, as several of the upper ones can turn around! Another strain is the man who "looks after" the temple and forbids taking pictures, threatening fines. He tried to hug our daughter several times. A strange guy with a hello.
It is a very beautiful and interesting place. The remains of an ancient fortress and temple. Wide view. But the stairs are old, rotten with high steps - only for the young and nimble. If the fortress had been better monitored and a normal rise had been made, then it would have been possible to pay
An impressive place. The remains of the fortress have been preserved, there are many icons inside the ruins and you can buy a candle for 20 rubles. The view from the tower is indescribable
A beautiful saturated place , the temple is not the same as it was soon , perhaps it will disappear , but when it is not known where it stands, beautiful places for photos and recreation on the way to pizza lake , I advise you to stop by .
A very beautiful fortress !
This is Abkhazia for how many years I have been going there and I will go again because it's a buzz and they don't let us go anywhere in Europe :) but we feel good at home)))
The place is beautiful, but the stairs are certainly at risk, you need to walk very carefully along it, in places there are gnarled steps, and in some places they are no longer there
An interesting place, it is not often possible to touch a building that is 1000 years old. It's true that the stairs are dangerous, the elderly and overweight people should not climb
This is an amazing place, there are many icons in the interior of the ruined temple, you can light candles and leave a piece of paper with names for health.
There is some kind of mystical aura in this place. In my mind, I fly back to my childhood in the mountains to my grandparents. A very beautiful view from above.
The thousand—year-old guardian of the surroundings, clearly visible on the hill at the turn, is the Bzyb fortress, on the territory of which the ruins of the ancient Bzyb temple of the tenth century remain. The fortress occupied an important strategic position, allowing it to control the Bzyb Valley, along which one of the passageways to the North Caucasus passed. The Bzyb fortress has been preserved very little
The fortress is located near the turn to the lake. A ritsa with a road leading from Gagra to New Athos. It is impossible to miss the fortress itself has been preserved in the form of parts of the fortress walls and two towers. The Orthodox church looks best, but you can't take pictures inside if there is a guard on site. It is necessary to climb the steps to the fortress and the temple, the towers are at the bottom, by the road. In general, these are quite picturesque ruins and it is better to visit them with a guide or after reading the literature beforehand, then these stones will not be just stones for you.
A beautiful place on the road, I recommend visiting arishatravel_vl to take pictures and just take a walk, national drinks of home origin are sold nearby.
I advise you to visit. The fortress was destroyed under the Abkhazian kingdom, in the 10th century. A staircase leads up, old and dilapidated. The temple has been destroyed by time, but not by people. There are icons inside, you can buy candles.
For those who can feel the place, feel, plunge into history, antiquity, it will always be interesting.
The rest of the insta..... who visit such places, do not hesitate to shout , swear, without listening to the local guardian,. There's nothing for you to do there.
To be honest, it's a bit weak as a tourist attraction. They don't really try to save the monument, access to it is by some logs, from which you can easily fall down. The building itself is now just stones, from which you need to fantasize what was there. It doesn't make much sense to go there, only if you stop by on the way
I strongly recommend everyone who visited Abkhazia to visit this place, we stayed there for three hours, probably tired of the ascents and descents, but got a lot of impressions from the fortress, the temple and the excellent views from this hill.
The remains of a historical temple. It's interesting to see how to take pictures. It is located on a hill where the mountains and the Bzyp river are clearly visible
The staircase has probably never been repaired. Are you waiting for someone to break their legs?
How can you be so indifferent to such places, to your country, Abkhazians?? Shame on you. And so everywhere you have - everything is very unkempt, a mess, landfills, roads are broken...
you should learn a lot from the same Georgian neighbors, this is impossible there.
If you are going to Lake Ritsa, you will definitely see this fortress on the left as you drive! It stands on a hill with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The fortress itself consists of fragments, but quite revealing. Wooden steps lead to the fortress, which are pretty dilapidated
We study the history of the world's cities together"

A gorgeous place!!! Magnificent views, a place of power is felt. It's a pity that the stairs leading up are in a very deplorable state. Such a place is so poorly cared for
A beautiful place with a great view. They didn't take any money for the entrance, but it says 50 rubles. The climb is steep, the steps in the form of sleepers are shaky in places, rotten in places, but the structure itself seems to be strong. The walls of the temple itself, the remains of the fortress tower and parts of the walls have been partially preserved from the 10th century temple. But there is something to see, lovers of antiquities will definitely like it. The rise has justified itself by 1000%, the temple is definitely worth a visit.
The fortress is dilapidated. Interesting ruins. But please note that very steep, high and dilapidated steps lead up to the fortress. We barely got in, only the young can do it.
A very beautiful place with panoramic views of Mount Athos, the only thing is to upgrade the stairs since you take money for the climb, since half of the steps have long rotted away
Be sure to climb this fortress! And don't be afraid of the steps from the sleepers) they wanted to build a railway at this place almost 100 years ago, and dismantled most of the fortress. But it didn't work out with the road, and the sleepers remained)

A picturesque place! Next to the ancient ruins is the Bzyb River with blue water. There is a bridge across the river, it's worth a walk, there are remnants of the fortress on the other side, and the view from the bridge is breathtaking!

Score for the stairs leading to the fortress. To say that it is dangerous is to say nothing. My son and I went upstairs, but my daughter refused. The steps are rotten, broken, and some are missing altogether. Going down, by the way, is harder than going up, you can really break there.
