Great museum!
A huge number of trains of different years and different manufacturers. From the 19th century to the post-war.
Large well-groomed, free territory.
All locomotives and wagons can be freely climbed. The child was delighted.
At the entrance there are all amenities: a toilet, a recreation area, a restaurant, a coffee shop and Parking.
I highly recommend it!
This is an excellent, very intimate, but very large-scale steam locomotive museum. There is a small parking lot in front of the entrance, a restaurant sign, it seems that there is almost nothing behind the wall. A small cash register with a caretaker girl - take cash without change. The entrance fee is only 15 liras. And there... a huge beautiful area with trees, flowers and steam locomotives everywhere in all surroundings. There are interesting carriages: the Ataturk saloon car, an old country carriage where you can sit inside. Steam locomotives from the 80s of the XIX century. Most of them are German, a lot of French, American, English, I did not find ours. There is a locomotive circle (apparently from the old depot), fanned out with steam locomotives. Some of them are in good restored condition, but many, alas, are only painted, and so require a lot of work, but complete (not rusty boilers and parts of booths), even with drawbars. On those that are not in the first row, you can not only climb and take pictures absolutely calmly, but also pull everything that twitches :) In general, for a railway lover, the only thing that is bad is that you will have to spend a lot of time :)
I was amazed that there could be such a huge and interesting museum of railway equipment in Turkey. And it has been in existence since 1997! This place lacks good marketing!
