A very pleasant, comfortable place to relax. Of course, you will be pleasantly surprised here not only by a large selection of national dishes, including in the author's reading, but also by a very budget price tag. The staff speaks Russian very well and will always help with the selection of dishes and drinks. The atmosphere of the place is simply amazing - everything is like in the movie the Caucasian captive. Of course, we haven't had time to try even a tenth of the menu yet, but I can confidently say that everything is very tasty. And especially coffee is by far the most delicious in Yerevan.

We were passing through Yerevan, it's very beautiful!
We accidentally found this Caucasian Captive restaurant on the Internet, it turned out to be not far from our location.
We came here for lunch, we really liked it! Starting from the entrance to the restaurant, the reception area and beyond: everything is very beautiful and colorful!
Fragments and catch phrases from the film are everywhere.The interior is very impressive.
The cuisine and wine are great too!
Bread was laid in the tandoor with us and when our order was brought, the bread was already ready, hot, delicious!

A wonderful place with delicious wine and dishes. The waiters are very attentive and quick. The TV cafe has a theme from the movie The Caucasian Prisoner, and therefore the place seems attractive and cozy to many people. There are also Caucasian dances for guests in the cafe. Food: very average. Dolma for 2. The salad is not bad, the portion is large. Scrambled eggs with tomatoes for 4. Tzatziki + hot tortilla - very tasty. Dogwood compote also came in: balanced natural taste.

I would put 10 out of 5. I got both gastronomic and aesthetic pleasure. Stunning interior, all in the style of a Caucasian captive. I want to take pictures and videos all the time. Lots of details. After 16 hours there are folk dances. The atmosphere is great plus the food is delicious. The menu is huge, we wanted to try everything! The attentive waiter Hamlet. If I am in Yerevan again, I will definitely come. I just recommend you to visit!!! By the way, you need to book a table in advance.

We visited the restaurant "Caucasian captive" in 2021 and this 2024. The restaurant is excellent, good cuisine, everything is delicious, a beautiful serving of dishes, an interesting and cozy interior, a good program of dancers. The prices are adequate. Everything is fine!
From the unpleasant: the waiter who served us did not give us a check and said that the service was not included in the bill, of course we paid for the service too, and then found out that he had deceived us after all. Unpleasant. We would have left a tip anyway, but we wouldn't have felt cheated.

After reading the negative reviews, we came to this place. However, everything was on top - the quality of the food and the service. For the first time in my life I was saved - I really liked it. Many complain about the barbecue. Gentlemen, shish kebab is a very simple dish and you need to eat it in the forest near the barbecue campfire, and not in the city center in a themed restaurant with a lot of complex and high-quality dishes, to which there are no complaints. A full hall of visitors. The only remark is that after the visitors have left, it is advisable to clean the dishes as soon as possible, but this is a small thing. Therefore, it is recommended to visit the restaurant.

My friends and I really liked everything. If you want to have a nice rest and have a good meal, come here. We didn't see anything unusual in this restaurant, except for the design. We were served by a waiter who obviously doesn't like Russians very much. I did not change dirty plates, did not take away empty dishes, I had to wait a very long time for drinks and after 20 minutes of waiting I looked for a waiter in the hall and asked to bring a drink, only after that he brought it. The flower vase was brought from the 5th request. The dishes were mostly taken out by other waiters, because there was a clear negative feeling in our direction. It was noticeable how the other tables where the Armenians were sitting were served. It was a birthday, the waiter knew about it, they told him and it was unpleasant when there were congratulations at other tables on behalf of the restaurant, but we were not there. Also, to make an order, we waited for the waiter for 30 minutes. Khinkali can only be ordered from 5 pieces of the same type, for the first time I meet such nonsense. In general, if you want to sit in the atmosphere of a Caucasian prisoner and feel a negative attitude towards Russians, then you can safely go here. The food is not as tasty as we would like. The wine generally gave a sugary sediment. Even the administrator, answering our question why there was sediment in the wine, made it clear that these were our problems, that we finished the bottle to the end, and did not leave half a bottle of wine. I also want to note that the waiter does not even know what grapes the wine they sell in their restaurant is made from and did not even show interest to go to the bar and find out.

3) the waiter came up only after 15 minutes

5) the drinks were brought quickly, but silently, the food was carried for 20 minutes
6) when the food was brought, they silently threw it (!) on the table and left. They did not explain what they brought, to whom they brought it.
7) the food turned out to be very bland and tasteless, although I'm not particularly picky about food, everything we ordered turned out to be very tasteless, disgusting, and even nauseated
8) at the end, we asked for the bill, the waiter brought the bill and said that tips were not included in the bill, although 10% was written on the receipt, he says he does not know why they write this and to whom this money goes. I lied. There are restaurants in Armenia where 10% is initially included in the receipt and they write it in the receipt, and there are restaurants where it is not included in the receipt. This is very disgusting on the part of the restaurant managers. Shame.
In general, I really do not recommend visiting this restaurant. You can go in, take a picture and feel free to go to another restaurant, fortunately in Armenia, and in Yerevan in particular, there is a place to eat delicious food.

The situation inside is in the theme of the film of the same name and this is one of the advantages.
The attitude surprised me.
We didn't book tables in advance and when we arrived, we said that everything was busy and we had to wait an hour, maybe 40 minutes. They refused to record for a certain time and said that the queue was alive, although there was no one else in the queue there)
When 3 people came out after 10 minutes, we were told that the table would be cleared in 5 minutes and it would be possible to enter. During this time, no one else came out and so we were shown to a distant hall, in which another table was occupied besides us and the rest of the seats were ALL free. Then we are obsessively offered dishes from the menu and drinks, especially the signature fruit tea, which turns out to be a very sweet hot compote with feijoa.
The salad with cheese and vegetables is sooo spicy. They asked to bring water and it turned out to be only warm…
Some of the dishes from the menu were missing.
At the end, we were told that tips were very much expected, since they were not included in the bill, and they did not give us a check. In the toilet, the cleaner shouted that the papers should be thrown into a certain trash can, and not into any one..
Maybe it was just the wrong day.…
But we did not experience universal delight from the institution
