It's beautiful, but the size disappointed, we thought more, it's just a place worth visiting. I know that some people cry when they see the Colosseum, Why? Just a place to visit, no more.
Just don't write anything on the walls, otherwise you will receive a huge fine and Italy will be closed for you for a long time.

The Colosseum makes a tremendous impression!
Looking at him, I remembered my father's poems: Ancient Rome is rich and formidable, the legions are innumerable... the coast of Albion looms like a foggy treasure in front of him....
The spirit of ancient Rome is in every stone, and especially in the Colosseum. I recommend it for an independent visit (it will be more economical), you can get a Colosseum ticket at the ticket offices+Forum+Palatine. Queue at the ticket office at the Colosseum+The forum is very large, it is better to buy from the Palatine and start the inspection there. We started with the Colosseum, they didn't let us go there after the Forum, they said that the entrance was shared. We were already tired and didn't go. And so it is more convenient to start with the Palatine, going down to the Forum, go out at the Colosseum and watch it in the afternoon, because the majority of tour groups look at the first, respectively, the queue for entry is large.
The Colosseum is the main feature of Rome, for which travelers are ready to travel thousands of kilometers.
The Colosseum was built-it was built for 8 years and more than 100 thousand people built it.
The head of Rome, Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, best known as Nero, decided to erect a monumental structure in the very center of the city, the townspeople protested against the construction.
As a wise leader, Nero could not go against the will of the people, so he burned his residence outside Rome, as well as most of the city.
A new object of admiration was laid in the center, as the head wanted.
But then serious unrest began: everything went wrong. The fire, the construction, the epidemic - all this led to the discontent of the people.
Nero could not stand the strain and committed suicide in 68.
Nero, of course, is a pity, but thanks for the Colosseum in the very center of Rome - otherwise I would have to take a taxi to the outskirts somewhere...
Whatever the relationship to the Colosseum is, it is a part of history that you want to touch.
It has just become a revelation to me that admission is paid. Therefore, a small personal life hack (I don't know if it's a working method or not, but I did it).
So, July 2018. Not knowing that I had to pay for the entrance, I noticed that they were running in groups. And I just joined a group of English-speaking tourists. The only inconvenience: I had to stand as part of a group on the very first site (in the photo on the right) for no more than 15 minutes. After that, the group was disbanded for an independent sightseeing tour.
What is Rome without the Colosseum! The sight is breathtaking. Beautiful view both in the afternoon and in the evening. After a walk, I advise you to sit on the summer terrace overlooking the Colosseum, relax and enjoy pizza. Wonderful memories are provided. A spoonful of tar was added by pesky merchants with fenichki.
I do not think that this attraction can be lower than the highest rating!! This is an amazing place!
The only thing is that you do not need to come here with small children, nothing is provided for strollers in the city center.
But only the most wonderful impressions remained!
The collision must be visited. A grandiose structure. Although the queues are large, they move quickly, the price at the entrance is minimal. Now the central part is under restoration, so you can only walk on the sides.
Very cool! We were on a guided tour, we told a story. It's like watching a movie, I really liked it, of course it's incredibly cool to keep such a story
The collision is one of the few places on earth that is worth visiting. It is difficult to judge the greatness of the structure by the remaining ruins. It is beautifully illuminated at night, sitting opposite in a cafe, enjoying an aperol and contemplating an architectural monument.
A gorgeous place! The best time is October and by the very opening. And the weather is fine and the flow of tourists is much less than in summer. Do not stand in line at the pavilions opposite the entrance - this is for the Chinese. Go to the entrance queue. They are well organized and everything is moving fast enough.
It's definitely worth seeing with your own eyes, I thought a lot less

Stones are brought here every night and every day these stones are taken away by naive tourists, thinking that they were able to appropriate antique stones.
Well, this is such a story that no review will appreciate it. It is a pity for the sanctions and it is unknown when we will be able to see the Colosseum again
