Our room was nice, 2-bedded with two large beds. But there is no soap, shampoo, or beach towels in the room. They don't do the cleaning until you tell them. Also, due to the disadvantages, it was far from the ocean, they took a Tuk-tuk (they had to bargain) or then found out a shorter way..One of the advantages is silence, since it is far from the main street and nature, there are different trees, palm trees around, and what a birdsong! 🎉⚡🌞. Monkeys were watched from the terrace, there are a lot of them, a peacock flew to the roof, palm squirrels run (similar to chipmunks), monitor lizards crawl across the road. I am simply delighted with nature! The room was on the third floor, thank you, the suitcase was taken upstairs on the first day and lowered on the last. We ordered grilled shrimp from them, which turns out to be cheaper than in a cafe on the beach.
I put a five, if not droooooools Breakfast.
The hotel is located in a jungle very beautiful, bright, filled with singing birds and jumping monkeys. The hotel is brand new and has an excellent swimming pool with overhanging trees. Very friendly and hospitable hosts and hotel staff who are ready to help in everything, including those who go beyond their direct and responsibilities. To the beaches, and there are many of them, 10-12 minutes on foot along interesting paths, and by tuk-tuk ... also 10-12 minutes. I recommend.
The jungle!!! Exotic !!! We lived in apparatuses , we had a whole floor with two bedrooms with a bathroom , a huge living room and a kitchen !!! There are refrigerators , a stove , and a washing machine in the kitchen!!!
Far from the beach and shops if you walk. We rented a bike and there were no problems for us. the remoteness from the tourist area, the hustle and bustle, and you find yourself in an oasis of silence, serenity and vegetation. There is no such thing in the beach area. A very clean pool for Sri Lanka is a huge plus, even the fact that it is there) Of the minuses it is a bad Wi-Fi, very bad. I often didn't catch it in the room at all. And if you had to work, you only had to go down to the bottom. And monotonous breakfasts, even returning a year later, the breakfast is the same) I wonder if they themselves are not tired of cooking the same thing, even jam with the same taste))
The room is not cleaned without a request and this is the norm for Sri Lanka, so no need to be surprised and put downsides for it. This is not Turkey. In general, this is a very good place for its price.
A great hotel with a swimming pool and a wonderful view from the terrace. Nice rooms with air conditioning, kitchen, dishes and everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The only disadvantage is that it is a long walk to the ocean (about 2 km).
Great pool. There are few visitors. Overall, it's wonderful. The only thing is it's a long way to the sea. But a walk through the jungle and the place of residence of local residents gives an excellent picture of how Sri Lankans live.
We rested in this mini-hotel for the second year in a row. He is far from the road, there is no noise, there is a jungle nearby. Monkeys, monitor lizards, chameleons and other animals can run around the territory. Nice deep pool with children's area. There are breakfasts. Various rooms, from single rooms to family rooms. There is a glazed space on the upper floor.
Very nice place, clean, cozy. Since the owner himself lives there, we felt comfortable and safe. The owner is good! You can change the currency from him, book an excursion and rent a bike. In general, I recommend it!
Good afternoon!
We had a rest in December 2023.Villa, cool, nature- no need to go anywhere on an excursion.
Breakfast was included. It's the same thing every day.
The rooms are really not cleaned.
Far from the beach through the private sector.
Well-groomed territory, friendly host and his wife.
We were in November 2022. Good rooms are occupied only with an additional fee. They probably haven't heard about room cleaning, and they can only do it after you tell them about it several times. Every morning at about 6 o'clock, a tuk-tuk with loud music passes under the windows (rolls are delivered to hotels), it is not possible to sleep. It's a long way to the beach, and the road stinks of waste. In the evenings, garbage is burned in the courtyard of the hotel. Towels are not changed. Separately, we would like to highlight the owner of the hotel Bandula, on the penultimate day he treated us to some rubbish, after which our entire company of 4 people began to have terrible diarrhea and vomiting. All night long.. The next day, I had to call a doctor, who helped in the end. Be careful with the food from the hotel staff, they can poison you.
We stayed at this place for two years in a row. We traveled to the beach and the surrounding area by scooter, rented from the owner. You don't have to take a tuk-tuk with a driver. For those who like quieter places, this is an excellent choice. The rooms are spacious, breakfast, lunch, dinner, juices, beer, etc. can be ordered. the territory is not large, very well maintained, there is a parking lot, Nature is a riot of the jungle!!! It pleases the eye!
The name of the owner is Bandula, a cool guy!!
What this hotel is like: it is two plots, 50 meters from each other. On one, two villas of three floors, on the second, new, one large and a swimming pool. Breakfast is also served in the new villa. We had a room in an old villa. The room has air conditioning, a kitchen with a microwave, a toaster, an oven and a refrigerator, a kettle and a weak hair dryer. In the kitchen there are pots, pans, a couple of plates, a couple of glasses, spoons, forks and a blunt knife (we brought with us). Of the towels, only one bath towel per person is provided. There is no cleaning in the room, as well as a change of towels and bed linen. Maybe, of course, after two weeks of living it is done, but we lived less, so we did not find it. Although we understood initially that it was unlikely to happen.
There is nowhere to dry the laundry, so it's better to take a rope and tie it on the terrace. But if, like us, you did not do this, then put the air conditioner on dehumidification and dry it in the room.
Breakfast: coffee, tea, omelette, toast with butter and jam, fruit.
Bike rental is available at the villa: 1500 rubles per day.
It is very far to the beach on foot, although we did not go, because we knew initially that we would travel by bike.
The liquor store is located next to the exit to the main street: beer 380 rubles. for 0.6, rum 0.375 for 2000 rubles.
There is a fruit shop next to the liquor store, prices are cheaper than many, but fruits are even cheaper in Food City. For example, there are 200 papayas in Foodcity, and as many as 400 in the fruit shop.
Fish markets: one at the beginning of Unawatuna, on the bridge, the second in the Gala itself. Shrimp for 1900-2000 rubles.
If you take a scooter, you must give a Qr code for refueling, the limit for a week is 4 liters.
Toilet paper is given 1 time for 2 days)))this is not enough for our family.Far from the beach. The mosquitoes are sick of it.Cleaning is done on request. The canopy was dirty and dusty. And so everything is fine 🙃
Thanks to Bandulla for the excellent service (if you want breakfast, lunch and dinner, please, fresh juices with a bang).
What you don't ask will do everything.
The view is beautiful from the balcony, and the place is calm. The only thing is that few of the taxis will want to go there.
Greetings from the Dalsky family.
The rooms are spacious. Very kind attitude of the staff. The surrounding nature..... Just a song...... A very hospitable host....... I really want to come back again!!!!!!!!!
