Thanks to the bartender for the interesting flavors of cocktails. And what is the design of the dishes itself worth - a creative approach is visible in everyone. And, as someone already wrote, a curd dessert with mango is a separate love! In short, I highly recommend it to aesthetes 👍
You can go to this place to take a nice picture, eat one dish and go somewhere else.
I'll start with the pros:
- pretty nice minimalistic design (wood, concrete)
- good location
- the presence of a rose photo zone (it's not very clear how it correlates with the theme of the institution, but the picture works for instagram)
Now to the cons:
- the menu. Questions about both the availability (there were not many drinks, there was no curd cheese for the rolls) and the description of the dishes. It is not specified that the dish is spicy. There are not enough photos (at least through the qr code)
- the wardrobe is under the stairs in the dark and cramped. Jostling with people who want to go to the bathroom and put on winter jackets with accessories in a cubicle - well, that's it. It is better to have a full-fledged wardrobe on the floor of the main hall than to be so embarrassed. The prices in the institution are still above average.
- it is unclear whether the institution is positioned as an Instagram place (I hope not), but it seems like it is now. I hope that in the future the owners will do a little more through excellent service and a delicious menu.

"Desert Rose" has exceeded all my expectations!
The first thing that struck me was their unique approach to Japanese cuisine. The donburi here is a work of art: perfectly cooked rice, the most tender meat and this secret sauce that simply explodes the taste buds. And the Japanese steak with the degree of roasting that I asked for is simply magnificent, juicy inside and crispy outside.
The bar deserves special attention. Mai Tai in their performance is a trip to a tropical island: fresh, balanced, with the perfect combination of rums. And their Negroni... I finally found a place where it's made for real, with the right bitterness and flavor.
But what really makes Desert Rose stand out is its attention to detail. When I ordered taco sushi (an ingenious fusion dish!), the waiter explained the concept in detail and advised the perfect combination with drinks. This level of service is rarely seen!
The atmosphere of the place is conducive to long gatherings - subdued lights, stylish minimalist interior with Asian accents, and this relaxed music... Everything is thought out to the smallest detail.
Now it's my favorite place for special occasions. I definitely recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality cuisine and professional service!
I don't want to give this place a lower rating, I've been here 3 times and the first 2 visits were excellent. I really liked the interior, the dishes (one of the few places where there were really delicious rolls) and a nice gift in the form of a saucer. I agree with other reviews that there are problems in the service in the video of not very experienced waiters, but it was not critical. but the last visit was very disappointing, the rolls were poorly prepared. the fish is fresh, tasteless, the roll itself is falling apart, looks sloppy and unpresentable compared to previous times. It feels like the dishes were prepared according to a different recipe each time. even the sauce didn't brighten up the taste.
It's also a strange moment, the first two visits brought us soy and nut sauce, ginger, and wasabi. last visit, the sauce was brought only once and only on request. I don't know what it depends on if I took the same rolls all three times.
in general, I don't want to give a very low rating, because the first visits were with a very positive impression. but the last visit was very upsetting.

It's a good place to visit. There are minor disadvantages: a reduced selection of drinks from the menu (the alcohol card was not considered); uneven serving of dishes (it is better to wait a couple of minutes for the dish to be served to two people at the same time), ordinary sushi, a hanger near the bathroom that no one is watching, so it's better not to leave anything valuable in your pockets, the location with roses is not bad, but there is no normal illumination. The advantages include the customer orientation of the staff (it is clear that there is little experience, but people are trying), donburi and tom yam were really delicious. I was pleased with the gift from the institution in the form of a plate (bowl), but if you come with a company and get one bowl, I don't know how you will divide it among yourself. I think that after a while we will return to this institution again.
A new establishment has opened, right next to Oktyabrskaya metro station. Convenient location, a wide selection of Asian dishes and please note that the chefs are Asian, which is not a little pleasing. The friendly staff and the bartender did everything beautifully. Pudding with mango and donburi is generally a separate love. So far, only the second floor is open, but in a couple of months, as I found out, the first one will open. A review of a new well-publicized place called "Desert Rose". Is everything as good as they say in the other reviews?
The first thing we encountered was the inability to book a table for more than 2 hours (at least the website does not allow us to specify more), in the end we had to call. But there were minor problems here, the first time I couldn't get through, and after I managed to establish contact, there was an incomprehensible communication in a familiar spirit.
Let's go directly to the institution itself. Considering that we visited it on January 5, when it specifically froze in Minsk (the stairs that lead to the institution too), there was no hint of scattered sand or salt, so as not to slip.
Let's go through the menu, which is generally ordinary and classic, we ordered tom yam with shrimp (I can't say anything bad, the usual shrimp were huge and good), pho bo (it was cold) and shrimp in Tokyo.
Most of all, I was "amazed" by the choice of tea, or rather its absence. Of all the things on the menu, there was only one lemongrass, cherry, and orange (22 rubles per liter, it turned out to be tasteless by itself, and it felt better even in a coffee bar). The tea itself was brought without a filter, so the first cup was with tea leaves, when we asked to fix the situation, no one refilled the tea, fortunately the mugs were replaced (also on request).
For the latter, we will leave the description of the toilet, where apparently there is no cleaning schedule (it was not detected), and the lack of hot water was a little upset.
I don't know if our trip to this institution was just an accident, but the impression is definitely spoiled, the place was given 2 out of 5 (for at least some concept, though not fully finalized), we definitely do not plan to return.
The dishes are delicious - I liked everything in the kitchen.
Staff: the waitress girls are friendly, but there are nuances: tea was brought, but sugar was forgotten. At the entrance, we asked to be seated not in the center of the hall, but in a corner (to move two tables)-- in response from the administrator in a harsh form- "we don't do that....". However, after 20 minutes the girls came and for them (oh, a miracle!) The tables were moved. It's a small thing, but this situation has left an unpleasant aftertaste.
Also, sauces, wasabi, and ginger must be ordered separately- this is not included in the price of the dish.
Most likely, people come here more because of the photo zone than the atmosphere.

The staff is not trained from the word at all, it feels like they hired schoolchildren and did not teach them anything. We took the order, brought drinks, immediately brought a glass for water - why, you can drink from a bottle)) brought sushi tacos and put them in the middle of the table. When asked how to eat them, two empty plates were silently brought. Soy sauce and side dishes were brought only upon request and then three small saucepans (ginger, wasabi, sauce) for two. All this was placed in the middle of the table. You carry a roll in your mouth with sauce dripping from it. They asked for at least a second sauce - they also brought it in silence. A similar situation was at the next table. Indeed, why serve side dishes with rolls?) the waiters have zero reaction to an empty glass of wine, but snatching almost only a napkin from their hands is the only thing they did) and the apogee of everything is the bill! First, they brought the bill that belonged to the next table, we talked about it. Then they brought our bill... with three items that we didn't order and didn't eat! Apologies are for weaklings. The bill was brought for the third time, it seems to be correct. I give 2 stars only for the fact that the rolls were delicious, although the beef in the pad Thai is very dry and tasteless.
The result is mediocre food. There is simply no service. The interior decor is empty except for the wall with roses. Even a gift from the institution in the form of a plate did not correct the impression. It would be better to hire experienced workers or train these ones.

I booked a table a long time ago. We arrived - a full house. At the same time, we were greeted and quickly offered our place and menu. The waiting time was long, but the cocktails arrived quickly and the Mai tai was great. After about 25 minutes, the Black Dragon roll was brought out, and it was the best roll I've tried.

I have never seen a worse service. There is no staff, one person for everyone (bartender, waiter, etc.). The staff looks like they just graduated from school. The establishment is located in the city center, and the fact that there are half of the cocktails on the menu and there are no seafood on the hot menu is somehow ridiculous, and even the positions are not indicated that they are on the stop. They do not know the menu, what is included in the dishes and cocktails. A very long wait for the dishes, they completely forgot about the cocktail (they cooked all evening while we were sitting, which is about 1.5 hours). They brought it only when they reminded about it 2 times and until the bartender came either from the store or from somewhere else with a package). The invoice was also waited for a long time, they brought an incorrect invoice where there were positions that were not ordered. Of all this, just take a picture near the photo zone and that's it, the advantages end. It's not clear what system the plates are given, but somehow I wasn't upset about it. Sorry for the time and money spent on your birthday. This institution needs qualified, trained staff, but not schoolchildren in appearance. There is no administrator at all. I won't give this place a second chance. It's better to go to trusted places.
A controversial institution in terms of service. When I was there for the first time, everything was fine. The second visit was a disaster. The receptionist hasn't been in place for a long time, they were looking for her themselves so that they could take us to a table. The booking confirmation was sent by e-mail. No one called us in advance and did not specify whether we would come or not. And then day X came, when we arrived at the establishment, no one met us, neither the receptionist nor the waiter, as they do in most such places. When we finally caught the bartender, we were just seated at a random table. After a while, the waitress came up to us and brought the menu, when we asked why we weren't sitting at our table, she giggled happily and said "oh" that he was busy)))
What can be said in this situation? we were terribly upset by this lack of organization, the fact that we booked a certain table, shifted plans, and no one apologized, but just giggled in response to our question. The restaurant should have been called "millions, millions of scarlet roses." I don't quite understand how this is related to the general theme of the restaurant (the dishes are mostly Japanese), but the photo zone is cool, from a distance it looks like a waterfall of real roses. When it was time for dessert, there were only two items on the menu. I specified the size of one of the desserts, mochi, to which I received an answer.: "It's not available." After that, I asked about the second dessert and asked again to bring the menu to familiarize myself with the name and price. Again, the wait is 20 minutes, and instead of the menu they bring me dessert, which I didn't even order. The empty plates remained on the table almost until we left.
It's time for the calculation. This is the first time I've encountered such incompetent employees. The check was 134 rubles, and after such service, the desire to leave tips completely disappeared. We put 150 rubles in the counter. The girl noticed this, came up and said, "Thank you very much," probably thinking that we didn't require any further calculation. We told her, "Please bring me the change of 10 rubles." To this she replied with a laugh: "If there is one at the checkout." To be honest, it gave me a shock.
Even the "instagram" rose decoration turned out to have terrible lighting. The unpleasant smell of rottenness that greeted us right from the doorstep. In addition, the visitors' jackets were lying around the toilet.

The service does not match the prices. The waiters are not trained, they do not know the menu. The dishes were not served to all the people at the table at the same time, but in turn, which was inconvenient.
I do not recommend visiting this place until the situation with the service and the availability of dishes from the menu is fixed.
The scenery is beautiful, the food is delicious. We were at the institution on February 14th. We arrived before half the room was full, and a third of the menu was already on the table (it's very strange not to prepare in advance on a holiday). I was confused by the strong smell of fish in the room, the wardrobe under the stairs near the toilets, where it is very cold. Everyone had disposable chopsticks for the main appliances, I think this is unacceptable for the prices they ask for the dishes. It's okay to take a picture once, I wouldn't come again.
Helpful staff. Very tasty rolls went with the whole family, everyone really liked it. Steaks are just a fire, you can lick your fingers very tasty. And lots of different delicious drinks.

We arrived at 2:45 p.m. and no one took the order from us until 3:20 p.m. All the waiters passed by our table many times, or just stood in the corner. After 20 minutes of waiting and a detailed study of the menu, a girl came up and asked for what name the table was and for what time it was booked (although the guy had already asked at the entrance). She was very surprised that no one had accepted the order. After that, she promised that someone would come up now.
No one came up. They were forced to leave. All expectations were ruined.
But I was impressed by the beautiful rose photo zone (near which there was a crowd of girls who wanted to take a photo)
The place is new, not yet killed, but the menu is already in places with greasy spots, in places with sauce. The interior is urban, there are 3 statuettes from Asia. The food in general is not bad, but there will be nothing wow here, I have tried rolls and tastier.
But what I didn't like the most was the completely disregard for work. The waiting time was promised 25-30 minutes, as a result, after 30 minutes only drinks were brought, food was brought after another 15 minutes, one dish was forgotten altogether, what is the problem to record the order? Given that the hall has only 11 tables and all the dishes are cold, it is completely incomprehensible such a long wait.
In general, there is a lot to grow. 3 stars in advance.
We went with high expectations, but we left disappointed.
We decided to visit the place with our friends. We didn't book, we came in fact, there was an empty table for us. We were greeted at the establishment not by a hostess or a waiter, but by the persistent smell of the fish shop, as I visited the kitchen, honestly.
I ordered a lemon, for which there were no beautiful and free dishes, it was brought in a beer mug (guys, this is adjacent, you understand that you can have a full fit, buy an adequate amount of dishes). As a result, I was sitting with a beer mug, and my friends with beautiful cocktail glasses.
We didn't have cold appetizers or salads, all three ordered a hot dish, two donburi with shrimp, and I had donburi with beef. Two portions of donburi with shrimp arrived at the same time, the waiter set the dishes, wished me a pleasant appetite, but I didn't seem to be there, in his opinion, I expected to hear at least "I apologize, your dish is still being prepared" or "a couple of minutes and your dish will be ready." I had to wait another 13 minutes (for the sake of interest, I timed it) and looked with hungry eyes at my friends, who were served their dishes. As a result, my friends have already eaten, but they just brought it to me. The only plus was that it was delicious. This is not acceptable, there must be simultaneous serving of hot dishes. After putting the dish in front of me, the waiter did not apologize (my eyes were very unhappy).
Before I finish eating (I'm sitting with my mouth full), the waiter comes up with the bill and the terminal and offers to pay, while asking : - You have cash or a card.
It seemed that we were being kicked out. The bill must be brought at the request of the guest, or before closing the restaurant, when the guests stayed too late.
It's zero service, just the bottom. It doesn't have to be that way, it's not a bistro or a McDonald's. Guests should enjoy arriving and being served at the establishment.
In my defense, I can say that I have been working as a waiter for 3 years, I understand that anything can happen, but it shouldn't be that bad, and if such a situation has developed, then an apology should follow.
It was the first time I didn't leave a tip for the service.
Managers, work with the staff and fix the disadvantages with dishes and ventilation.
The only star for what was delicious.
The food is really delicious, especially the sushi. I also ordered scallops, but the waiter warned me that the dish was special. And so it turned out, raw scallop in sweet sauce and with raspberries. There were mostly girls aged 18-25 in the institution. The photo shoots near the roses didn't stop, but I think that's the point. A friend ordered a negroni, but the bartender "in his opinion" diluted it with sparkling water. No comments.
We were at the restaurant on December 30th, in the evening, with a small group of 4 people. The wait for the dishes was small, although it was a pre-holiday day and a fairly tight landing. We took several types of tacos-sushi, rolls and donburi. Everything is very fresh and delicious, taco rolls are an interesting idea, not cheap, but they are big and delicious, each with a different sauce and filling. The restaurant has a good selection of wines at reasonable prices, but alcoholic cocktails are quite expensive.
We booked a table in advance for a certain date and time. We arrived on time, we approach the receptionist and the girl declares that our table is occupied at the moment and will not be available soon. The point of the reservation turns out to be 0 :)
We were offered to sit at another free table, but the impression was no longer the same. Also, at the entrance under the stairs near the bathroom, it was absolutely disgusting and there were twists of visitors hanging on top of each other in a pile, there were few hangers and a lot of jackets.
The installation with roses is wow, super. It looks impressive.
There are a couple of interesting items on the menu, but some may be missing and you will only find out about it when you place an order. The prices are all slightly above average. Our waiting time was about 40 minutes. But at the next table, the girls were served dishes faster.
Donburi with beef is delicious, but I couldn't try it with scallops due to their absence. The salmon poke was good. The rolls were not impressed, unfortunately, the price is not the smallest for 8 pieces, but it tastes weak (we ordered 3 positions, of all 1 was more or less successful).
The waiter girl was sweet and friendly, but she seemed to be hesitant about everything, brought dirty dishes and asked if we could leave it, but then she hesitated and went to change it herself.
Overall, I still had a pleasant experience, with the exception of a few joints and tasteless rolls. I recommend it for a visit, but it's better to take proven dishes that you've already read a positive review on. I would single out donburi.
This is the first time I have left a negative review about the institution, but I have not received such impressions yet)

So it was impossible for any of us to eat this beef- it did not chew, just rubber meat with veins.
There was caviar on the menu as part of the ingredients, but no one wrote in the menu that it was an imitation of algae caviar.
We didn't even dare try the rest of the dishes.
I really liked the service of the girl, we sat at 9.01,7 table, from 8 p.m., the food is amazing, very satisfying and delicious, the tea is amazing, thank you for the warm welcome
The restaurant's app offered reservations for a time interval of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Let's say that this time should be enough to have dinner. But there is a caveat)
No one greets you at the entrance, there are not enough hangers for all the jackets.
But the icing on the cake was the waitress's warning that two thirds of the menu (and we came to try the rolls) would have to wait about an hour.
That is, we have to wait an hour for food, and then quickly stuff it into ourselves in 20 minutes and leave the establishment.
By the way, another popular Asian restaurant that reserves tables for two hours apologizes that the delay will be 25 minutes.

We visited this place on 19.12 on my birthday. I booked a table a week in advance, at first I called – no one answered the phone, then I decided to write on Instagram- the message was read, but there was no answer to it)) As a result, we arrived, we were 10 minutes late, no one met us at the entrance, we had to come up and talk about the reservation ourselves. Next, we placed an order and asked if there was a bar menu, the waiter gave us his phone number and the cocktail menu was written in some conversation of their institution in the telegram. During the meal, as soon as we left the napkins on the table, they were taken away instantly, and it felt like they were waiting for us to finish eating to take our plates away. In honor of the Birthday, no congratulations, no present, although I indicated this when booking. In general, I do not recommend visiting at all.
I was in this wonderful place, I really liked it, the food is very tasty, the full boarding and the waiters are doing an excellent job, the waiting time for a full boarding was only 10-25 minutes, many thanks to this team
