A great place for a winter vacation. And for children, it's just a fairy tale, a lot of entertainment. Very tasty cuisine, cozy rooms. We have been coming for 3 years in a row.

We went twice last year and this year. There are a lot more guests compared to last year. Like an anthill. It was only good on the day of departure, Sunday - most of them had checked out and there weren't too many people in the spa and water park during the day.
For the first two days, I didn't want to go anywhere at all, it was crowded, stuffy, and there were ill-mannered children around 😵💫
Next time we'll go on weekdays.
There are too many guests from Astana and Kokshetau on Friday.

The best place! My family and I celebrated New Year's Eve in Lapland last year. We traveled through Germany and Finland. The impressions are not justified. Discovery in Borovoye enjoyed the conditions and the rest itself more!!! We were pleasantly surprised by the prices. One disadvantage was that we were charged 30k each for towels that we left at their place in the pool area.

This place made a very twofold impression on me.
It seems to be with a swing at a good hotel, but it turned out to be an average boarding house for families with children. You will be greeted at the reception by seemingly friendly staff, but when difficulties arise, their mood changes, so that you do not want to check in, but turn around and leave. But no, you have to patiently pay for your accommodation with one bill and give permission to send it by mail and phone. After the reception we go to the room.
The territory is well-groomed, there are many playgrounds, a rope park, an active animation program for children is held, there is a children's sink and toilet in the rooms, there is an excellent children's area in the water park, and everything seems to be fine, BUT it is clear that parents want to relax, but still see drunk people on the territory, which is almost all devoted to children's rest is unpleasant. And the fact that children can be seen in the cage bar at 10 p.m., where not only almost everyone drinks, but also smokes, is nonsense in my opinion. But again, there is entertainment for both children and adults.
It's also interesting with the dining room, there is a FaceID, there is a separate children's area, the food is delicious, BUT the tables are small, that 4 people barely fit, there is no choice of food, and if you don't eat something, you can stay hungry, instant coffee (for normal you need to go to the Squirrel coffee shop), and napkins There are slides
in the water park, there is a cold pool in which it is great to swim after saunas, BUT the saunas have tiles, not wooden floors. They also hold a soaring SHOW, it's really more of a show than soaring, intimidating, calling vacationers cowards and weaklings is not the level of a good bath attendant. There is no ventilation, there are not enough ordinary windows, and there are also bags for replacement shoes, which will fit only one sneaker.
There is a separate outdoor heated pool overlooking the lake, there is a hammam and a cafe inside, everything seems to be fine, but no, smokers can also wait for you here, not only cigarettes, but also hookah and you breathe not fresh air, but the corresponding smells.
The room also seems to be good, huge beds, blackout curtains, it costs two 0.5 bottles of water, BUT there is no mesh on the window, no spoon for shoes, no bathrobes (again, once you take a deposit, you can not be afraid to give bathrobes, because it is more convenient to walk in them and in the room and from the water park or outdoor pool to walk), there is no flexible watering can in the shower, try to wash up...the water also leaves badly, so I had to turn off the water and wait for it to leave in order to continue washing.
There is also WI-FI, it is not in the rooms, only at the reception and in bars/recreation areas. By the way, there are recreation areas, you can play tennis and playstation, but you won't last long from the heat there, ventilation is not thought out.
And there is no phone in the rooms to communicate with the reception, a cell number is indicated that does not answer (and if suddenly a foreigner is resting without a local SIM card and roaming ...). And it turns out that water is supplied only on the day of arrival, and on the rest, be kind enough to buy in the store and bars.
You can also rent sports equipment, everything is OK with balls, take them, leave them in a basketball ring (just a ring on a tree, why not equip a good basketball court, they made a good field for football) or play volleyball, but bicycles will be given without protective equipment, apparently you need to carry a helmet with you.
There is physical activity for adults in the program of the day, yoga, stretching, jumping. There is a gym, but most of the simulators require repair/replacement, there is no water cooler.
What conclusion can be drawn from all this, probably, if the prices were three times lower, it could be considered as a place to relax, and it is so sad that you need to travel abroad for the service.

Earlier we read reviews about the slow work of the reception at check-in, so we checked in quickly, within 45 minutes, we arrived almost an hour before check-in, after all, when you arrive in warm countries by the sea, you also wait for check-in. The only thing is that you wait a long time for drinks at the water park and the bar, because there are a lot of people and the waitress at the water park is alone, and there are a lot of people. Many will say it's expensive, but all the work of this hotel and the service correspond to this money.

We visited many recreation areas in Borovoye . But Discovery , the best of the best ! All the entertainment in one place, the food is delicious, satisfying, lots of activities for children, amazing air! We love the steaming ceremony, the outdoor pool (at any time of the year), skiing, Nordic walking, rope park, delicious treats, live music. Children have their own entertainment - numerous master classes, their own children's restaurant, a water park. Excellent, attentive staff, experts in their field. The owners invest very well in their offspring. Everything is done with love and care for the guests.

Also, in the water park in the large pool, the size of the pool was disappointing, more could have been done, there is enough space for expansion and another disadvantage, there is no age limit, adults with children, like a paddling pool, do not really swim, such a pool should be only for adults, there are enough mini pools for children. The outdoor pool has a hammam for warming up, it is well done, but due to the lack of a hydraulic seal in the cream on the floor, there is an unpleasant smell of sewage. In general, I liked to relax there, provided that I did not have time to participate in all the events, but the nature, the air of needles in the room when the window is opened, is just super!
