I liked the House museum very much. George Hetsuriani made many wooden exhibits with his own hands. Every thing in the museum is special, each one is like a living thing. This is not mass production, but things with a soul, their own personal history. The hospitable hostess lovingly continues the heritage of the museum, rejoicing for it. She met the two of us with her son and told us a lot of interesting things. You can touch each exhibit as a living history. Turn the handle of the ice cream maker or sit in the prince's carriage). Once this carriage was used by zebras)). How much before it was necessary to know, be able and learn, learn, learn. What a rich, fulfilling life. Work - which, as George praises, makes a person worthy.
There are so many thoughts and ideas in the subjects.. I really liked the phrase: "Children are not born for war." It is necessary to bring excursions to the museum. To advertise. To support the museum! It must be preserved, it is a unique place.
I advise fans of antiquities and flea markets to visit. You can get an idea of the way of life and life of the people in whose territory you are. Of course, an excursion conducted by a knowledgeable person, and not a schoolboy, would be more informative, because the collection was collected by a man who selflessly loves his homeland.Self-examination does not give a complete picture. The cafe on the territory was not impressed, the toilet is in terrible condition, you can only get to the house museum by taxi. It's a pity, this museum needs to be included in sightseeing tours, and not endless wine and honey tastings.
An amazing place!!! The color, really old exhibits. The Prince of Edinburgh's carriage was especially impressive. Very friendly hosts, childrenfriends, kind.
Everyone who has visited my friends is impressed, I recommend it to really feel that Abkhazia is a country of the soul
An incredible place. I read about the museum on the Internet, realized that I must definitely come there-and I was not mistaken. When you see it all with your own eyes, you can touch it, touch the story and hear Nana's story-emotions overwhelm. Nana is the owner of the museum, the daughter-in-law of George Hetsuriani, an incredible woman. She joined the family as a 20-year-old girl and this museum was created before her eyes, incredible household items and antiquities were brought to the master from everywhere, and George Hetsuriani himself created his masterpieces. Nana's story was filled with such warmth and love, contained such details and details that you will not read or hear anywhere else. So many exhibits of the museum were made by the master himself, incredible chandeliers, models of the Abkhazian courtyard, coinage,. I was very shocked by the memorial in the courtyard. I was lucky enough to talk to Nana after the tour. A surprisingly bright and kind man. She supports and carefully preserves the museum herself. It is a pity that such an object of cultural heritage has fallen out of the state's field of view. It is necessary to bring children here so that they know and remember the story presented here in such incredible exhibits.
Thank you very much to Nana and prosperity to the museum
This museum is worth a visit! It contains various household items from the carriage to the first copier (we still did not understand how it worked) The beautiful hostess of this house-museum told and showed everything herself. And her husband collected things, he did a lot with his own hands, such as layouts of various buildings (such painstaking work!) It's a pity that they don't take excursions there, few people get there, there is no advertising, and the museum is worth it. And you can also buy homemade preparations there. We bought freshly squeezed tangerine juice, very tasty! We also bought jam from feijoa and some more with nuts and adjika.
We visited the museum and were just shocked by what we saw. I bow low to the creator of the museum and to the people who have preserved and supported it. Each exhibit is very interesting. The story of the master's daughter-in-law touched me to the depths of my soul. So much love and warmth comes from her. I advise everyone to visit the museum and touch the antiquity and history of Abzasia
A great place, I advise everyone to visit. The hostess Nana is a very bright and kind person. The story is fascinating. There are a lot of interesting things in the house, including handmade ones.
I really liked the museum, when the sea is stormy, I advise you to visit it, ancient Abkhazian instruments are on display there, the carriage of Prince Odelburgsky, it is very informative
The hostess conducted a tour, it was interesting and left warm impressions — that's what you need. As a bonus, we bought a nice pastille there, which had a taste unlike those that are sold in stores.
A self-made space museum. Interesting old and old things. The owner of the museum is a very positive sociable person.
If you add an interesting tour, it will be even better.
I really want to wish the museum to continue to exist! To continue the legacy of your founding grandfather! The soul lives in this museum! Each exhibit is here for a reason.
Prosperity to you!
In Soviet times, buses were taken here, now tourists are a rare guest (
A very interesting and sincere place, a friendly and caring hostess. There are a lot of interesting things, a slice of time in relation to this place. Entrance is 300 rubles. I recommend you to visit!
An amazing place!I advise everyone to visit! The atmosphere is special, as if you feel the presence of George Hetsuriani himself! You plunge into the culture of the peoples of the Caucasus, you can touch everything, take pictures with the exhibits! It is very interesting and sincere! The owner of the museum, Nana, had a very interesting tour!I also advise you to visit the tavern "Old Mill", which is located on the territory of the museum!Very tasty, Abkhazian cuisine, affordable prices!Tatiana cooks amazing!Very friendly people, pleasant to talk to!Live music in the tavern in the evenings!
An amazing house, we were lucky enough to talk with the daughter-in-law of its creator, her name is Nana. An amazing woman, it was she who told us the story of this house, and gave us a tour of it. This house keeps the whole history of one family, the head of which (the father of Nana's husband) created this house with love and bit by bit collected all the exhibits that are presented in this mysterious house today. Nana with such love and soul told us about its inhabitants, about every corner, saw family photos where Nana became a part of this family as a 20-year-old girl. The creator of the house has already passed away, and now Nana considers it her duty to continue his work and preserve this beautiful house... I was so fascinated by this wise, beautiful, statuesque woman, her soulful stories, that at some moments the tears themselves flowed, so imbued. And it is also a pity that such a wonderful creation (the house with its exhibits) is not sponsored by the state, and the family has to preserve this heritage on its own. For myself, I decided for sure that once again, I will definitely visit this house!!!
A very wonderful museum. The house has many exhibits, mini models of dwellings, appliances, for example, typewriters and much more. There is also a natural garden with oranges, tangerines, grapefruits and flowers. I really liked it, I advise everyone to go there!
A great museum. It is clear that the person has invested his soul. I was very impressed that even with the passing of the founder, his relatives continue his work and find strength in themselves.
It was very interesting to learn about the life and traditional occupations of the Abkhazians - agriculture, cattle breeding, hunting, fishing and winemaking.
Among the exhibits:
🧉 Ancient Greek amphorae
🫔 Portable churn driven by a mountain river
🍇 Grape press and container made of a whole linden trunk for collecting grape juice
🐗 A wineskin for transporting wine from a whole boar skin
🛖 Portable hunting lodge
The 1906 horse-drawn Benz phaeton of Prince Alexander Petrovich of Oldenburg, the founder of the Gagra resort
Many thanks to the hosts!
A wonderful museum of Abkhazian life! Very interesting objects, homemade models, it is a pity that the state does not sponsor it. My daughter-in-law is trying to support me. Makes repairs, mows the grass. Pays for communal services. God bless her. We have been there twice, if we are still in Abkhazia, we will definitely go again.
The museum itself, of course, is amazing. A huge number of different exhibits, models, tools, machine tools and other things. In the courtyard there is a memorial to the villagers who died in the Second World War (!)
Georgy Yasonovich was a talent, a nugget!
The attitude of the granddaughter's family looking after the museum was unpleasantly surprised. Many exhibits require repair, the inscriptions on many are unreadable (faded, erased). The memorial is generally in a deplorable state... Complete indifference, disrespect for the work of my grandfather... The entrance fee, however, is charged regularly.
However, money is not a pity, the impressions are worth it. Be sure to go.
I wasn't there, but I want to find out about Khetsuriani's husband's friend Sergei Bagratovich, is he alive and where does he live now?The museum is great, but my daughter and I didn't get there in 2020, when we were on an excursion in Abkhazia.
A magnificent place with an exciting history! It is very interesting, cozy and exciting. It's nice to touch the story of George, I would say the local Da Vinci, he was an amazing man. Inspiration has been received for a long time, thank you very much!
"Fragments of history", such a phrase came to my mind when I entered this amazing "Hetsuriani house museum".
If I were a child, it would seem to me that I got into a real shop of wonders, where there are countless interesting and unusual things. However, all this, painstakingly pieced together, is the legacy of the Caucasian people.
The mistress and keeper, Nani, of a unique soul, a human being. With what love and awe she talks about how it all came together. There is an opportunity to learn literally first-hand how the collection was created. What difficulties were on the way of its formation. You will also find out how beautiful and at the same time, the life of a simple farmer was.
Household and household utensils take you back to the past, where you try to imagine yourself in the place of a winemaker, fisherman or beekeeper. And how much work there is in blacksmithing.
From the bottom of my heart, I would like to wish this house to go through all the temporary storms, preserving its small historical treasures for the present and future generations.
If you are in Pitsunda, be sure to come here! A fabulous house of the real past.
"The collection was collected throughout his life, so that the antiquity would not be irrevocably gone. If you are in Abkhazia, visit this house. A lot can be understood here about the past, about the future, about the world around us and about ourselves" (Nani Hetsuriani)
An amazing place, an atmosphere. I have been going to museums with my children for many years and I believe that it will be interesting for children and will leave a great impression in their memory only when everything can be touched. It is not just interesting to learn the history and way of life, but to communicate with amazing people, descendants who preserved the work of a Great man who simply loved people.
A very cool house museum , the hostess is a relative of the collector of this exhibition of ancient relics and artifacts . The person who created it was undoubtedly an extraordinary person .
The museum even has an antique carriage of the Duke of Oldenburg, a local celebrity.
A lot of old weapons and equipment . there is an exposition dedicated to folk crafts and rural antiquities of Abkhazia. be sure to visit the museum, it needs your support.
Be sure to visit this museum, children and parents were delighted, the hostess tells us so interestingly and sincerely, there are a lot of antiques, everything can be touched, which is not unimportant, photographed.
The richest museum in Abkhazia in terms of the number of exhibits. I recommend you to visit. This museum is a private collection collected by Grigory Hetsuriani, a Georgian by birth. His photographs are preserved in the exhibition. Many models are made by his hands.
It's an amazing place. We had a very cool tour. Everything is at home, mentally. People have tried very hard to preserve history for us. Everything can be touched and everything is authentic and real. The museum is in perfect condition. The guide is 5+++
All in good time - we couldn't get to this museum for several years, and today we decided after the rain (by the way, the hostess expected an influx of guests after the rain, it often happens). The place, of course, is amazing both for its history and its aura. Georgy Yasonovich Hetsuriani founded his own private museum of folk life back in 1965. And after his death in 1992 (the grave is here), the descendants continue the work of the patriarch. There are a lot of interesting things and not only about the history of Abkhazia, but in general ancient life - and you realize that everything was really invented before us, and over time the devices are only being improved due to technological progress) The ticket price is 300 rubles. Children are free. The museum is alive, everything can be touched, but not broken! The granddaughter tells a very good story, and in different ways (she accidentally heard how the story began for another group). There is a family farm nearby, where peacocks walk... But she didn't work with us. We walked along the Ldzaa highway along the state road to the sign for the museum and tavern. We turned left, passed the furniture workshop and went out into the village on Adamiya Street, and along it to house 3 - a house with a spire, video from afar, and opposite the construction site, probably a hotel. So you will not pass by!
Oh yes, I wandered by chance into the museum-house there was no one on the door sign entrance 300p at the entrance of the wish book. The hostess is already the old daughter-in-law of the same
A very interesting house museum created by a local resident. There are many exhibits on which you can learn the whole history of Abkhazia and the life of local residents.
A great and interesting place, here are the personal belongings of the creator of the museum, as well as many other exhibits from the life of the peoples of Abkhazia, one of the highlights of the museum is the carriage of Prince Oldenbourg. I advise everyone to visit this museum
A wonderful authentic place. If you are in Abkhazia, it is worth going in and looking at various household items from the history of the region. A private museum maintained by the descendants of the founder. They will tell you about each subject with great love. It will be interesting for both children and adults.

An interesting exhibition of a talented person. We arrived in the evening, there was no guide. The granddaughter of the founder of the museum conducted a cursory tour of the exhibition. It's interesting, but there was definitely a guide missing.
I advise you to visit the Hetsuriani House Museum, a huge number of antiquities have been collected. It's not easy for the family now, because the roots are Georgian, but Khitsuriani has lived in Abkhazia all his life and collected objects there. He was a very talented man, a photographer, a hunter, a craftsman.
One of the best places in Abkhazia! It is very informative, especially for children it will be interesting. George collected household items from past times, even I was new to a lot of things. I recommend you to visit.
I recommend you to visit if you want to learn about the life and history of Abkhazia. There are many very interesting exhibits. I've been there three times already and I still find something new and interesting.
An unusual, unique, very interesting home museum. The collection was assembled by a local resident, with an amazing history. It may be interesting for engineers, lovers of everyday life and history. There are many miniature models and technological solutions, such as a winery, washing machine, refrigerator, mill, etc. Be sure to talk with the owner of the house.
Awesome, I'm thrilled, a wonderful woman who has preserved everything to this day, and with such love told us the history of the museum
Please be sure to come to the museum, it is not far from Ldzaa.I really liked it, I can't convey the unusual smell, THANK YOU!!!!
We went on vacation with the children to the museum. We liked it. The guide told me an interesting story. There are many exhibits. It is a great advantage that you can take them, touch them, sit, lie down. The children liked it very much.
Thanks to the late organizer of the museum, for not caring about the history of Abkhazia. The current owners of the museum, it seems, do not really understand what to do with it and how to develop it. The state of the surroundings and exhibits is sad. Everything is as usual: we take the money, and then at least the grass does not grow. I recommend you to visit, for those who are not indifferent to history. One of the few places in Abkhazia where there is at least something about the people who inhabit such natural beauty.
An interesting and informative museum. A unique place with its own flavor. The hospitable hostess showed and told everything. The cafe has delicious food.
