Sea flounder is very tasty, for those who have never taken it, I recommend trying it, as well as the stingray, we took a small stingray, it has very tender meat. The restaurants behind the market will cook everything, the prices are about the same. For 1 kg of fish - 6 GEL, but oysters were opened for 1 GEL for 1 piece, and somewhere they were opened for 2 GEL. We ate in the farthest restaurant on the right, there were fewer people on the terrace, they cooked very tasty

As a result, we just admired the variety of products and went to have a snack at a restaurant. However, the fly in the ointment was that despite the large selection of restaurants, in fact the staff of those where many visitors were sitting turned out to be indifferent to new guests, the waiting time for even a banal menu went beyond our patience. As a result, we came to a place where there were practically no people and immediately told the waiters that we wanted to eat quickly, thank God they understood us right away and served us quickly! We were satisfied with the mullet, mussels in wine, sea view and service.

While in Batumi, we wanted to eat fresh fish and seafood. We were recommended to the local fish market. Everything is purchased on site and prepared there. You will not have to look for anything, entering the pavilion, you will be asked to choose and buy seafood and you will be escorted to a nearby restaurant. There are men from every restaurant in the market who do this. I would recommend buying everything you want on the market yourself and going to the restaurants yourself, they are located at the back of the market and choosing the one you like.
There is a choice on the market for every taste and purse.
We gave 50 lari for one dorado, one trout and a kilogram of smelt. You will need to pay separately for cooking fish in the cafe.

In the first days in Batumi, we went there on the advice. The fish is fresh, no questions asked, but they were in a hurry to sell it to us, they didn't even show the weight and took it away immediately to clean, but they shook the money for 2 small sea bass almost 2000 rubles. (by the way, after cleaning, they asked to weigh what would be shown and it seemed to decrease by 2 times). Then they began to get used to it and realized that it was much cheaper in grocery stores, too, fresh fish and without cheating with weight ... oh yes, the very aggressively touting woman at the entrance selling was already almost shaking just to sell us quickly and let us go, she did not even really look around (I do not advise taking it from her). You must be able to refuse!
