The market is small. There are local fish, there are imported ones. Mullet, mullet, sturgeon, shrimp, salmon. We bought a mullet (1 kg 20 GEL), we immediately cleaned it and took it to a cafe nearby. Where it was prepared for GEL 6. Among the buyers, I saw only tourists😊
The market is surprisingly clean, there is no smell of fish. Fish is both local, Black Sea and imported. There are fish restaurants behind the market where you can eat fresh fish and seafood, at a price twice as cheap in the city.
Seafood lovers should visit. You can choose the products for yourself, which will then be prepared for money in any of the adjacent cafes; or you can optionally order dishes from the menu in the same establishments.
We really like it here. A large selection of fresh fish. You can fry it right away for 6 GEL. You can go to any nearby restaurant and your fish will be cooked there and you can enjoy it with a view of the sea
A wonderful market, everything is fresh. Everyone can cook in the nearby restaurant. I recommend visiting it at least once.
For a family of three, buying at the market cost 70 lari + 70 at the restaurant (including cooking, salads, wine and lemonade). It's not cheap, but it's worth it.
A good market with cheap prices for local and imported fish, which can be cooked for you right there in neighboring restaurants (but it won't be so cheap anymore). The choice is quite good
An excellent fish market with a Georgian flavor, here you can choose fresh fish to taste and it will be delicious for you at the nearest restaurant on the seashore.
This is the second real fish market with marine life in my life. I saw the first one in Istanbul. It was very lively, and for some reason some of the grandmothers who sold fish did not want to speak Russian.
It is compact and has everything you need from seafood. And there are several fish restaurants located behind the market. Right on the seashore, you can sit and dine on the freshest fish.
A small market. Without prices, for tourists, the price is at the discretion of the seller. Restaurants that cook fish are ordinary cafes with plastic chairs and the same without prices, the prices are called by the waiter. To put it mildly, the sea view is not for enjoyment, after all, it is a port and a market in the first place, with all the smells in the heat. What to enjoy is not clear. In our situation, the price in the receipt for cooking fish also changed, we had to figure out why, in a very rough form, the receipt was recalculated in raised tones, but it is very unpleasant to have such proceedings on vacation.
A very atmospheric place! We need to visit at least once)
We were warned that there are representatives of local restaurants who "actively help" with the choice in the market and then immediately cook everything, conveniently!
I highly recommend the lamb and dorado, but the shrimp were seriously over-dried
You definitely need to visit, buy shrimp, Dorado, trout, lamb (they will clean the fish for you at the market), come home and fry it with a thin crispy crust!
It's a funny place. Probably there used to be a real market here. But now they are bringing it to e. Lobsters. Octopuses and other lobsters. Only the sea view. But the cafes themselves are gloomy. Touts are infuriating
The quality of the fish is good, but I didn't like the atmosphere. They are obsessive , they say everything right away and smoke. There is no pleasure from visiting the market. Scream and shout I want to leave faster
Cheaters. Frozen fish is passed off as fresh. Imported for local. They are overweight. In the restaurant Pontos, behind the market, where they went to fry fish bought at the market, half was stolen) The impression received is extremely negative. A spoiled mood.
You buy fish and go to a restaurant. You just need to choose the restaurant in advance. Otherwise, the touts on the market can be dragged into some kind of shack.
A market with a large assortment of fresh fish. The price of a lamb is 20-35 lari per kg. Trout 20 l/kg, sturgeon 30-45 lari/kg. It was unpleasant to realize that almost all sellers cheat in weight. But I still found a conscientious seller (or rather sellers) and bought only from them (Vitoria and Theon). Here they are doing great! I was ashamed of my native Georgia.
To all lovers of color and fish, come here. We took sturgeon and lamb-everything was super tasty. Yes, restaurants with plastic furniture and thick glasses, but what a thrill when you get splashed by a crashing wave!
They became arrogant, they began to raise prices very much, the price of 40 GEL for local fish is expensive, some people began not to let cafes with their fish. They cheat on the scales. When cooking, not all the fish is brought. The fish market is no longer the same.
A great place, we took flounder and dorado, took the fish to the restaurant, ordered salad, side dish, pita bread there. Everything is delicious, the portions are huge, but they leaned on flounder. It turns out that they scored a lot for two, but did not eat. Very tasty, expensive. Let's go again
In my opinion, this is the place where every tourist who loves seafood should visit
This is the best place to buy fish in Batumi!
After buying fish at the bazaar, you immediately give it to one of the many restaurants that are located behind the market, closer to the sea, less than a minute on foot, where they will cook it very quickly and tasty!!!!! For that they will charge you a small fee for cooking, and then enjoy the charming sea, sitting on special built terraces, a light breeze of sea air, the sound of the surf, a glass of wine and time for you to stop, enjoy, admire, this place will become your favorite! IT MUST BE!!!!!!
For two Dorados, 78 lari, plus cook a kilogram of 6 lari.
Very expensive. They come in from restaurants with you, they don't give you the opportunity to exhale. I do not recommend it
The fish market itself is small and the assortment is small. But the fish is fresh and delicious and you can cook it there. You'll lick your fingers. I recommend.
To be honest, when I went there, I expected something more grandiose. It's not very big in size, you can see it. The smell, of course, is very specific. There are also exotics
.
Delicious. Not expensive.
The sellers are of course very intrusive, as in a typical market, but all the fish is fresh. You can bargain. There are various seafood delicacies
The place for which I will come to Batumi again. Fresh fish at great prices. We bought caviar for the New Year and were happy on this festive night! in the restaurant next to the market, you can cook grilled fish for 5 lari. Payment in cash only!
After buying the fish, the seller will take it to the restaurant himself and cook it there. We took the freshest sturgeon for more than 2 kilos, a piece of salmon and a little more different. Everything was cooked and brought on a large wooden platter.
It's delicious-I can't put it into words!
A good market. However, there are really few Black Sea fish: mullet, goby, flounder. The rest is either listed or from nurseries. In general, it is not expensive. You definitely need to eat everything you bought on the beach, in one of the restaurants :-)
The fish and seafood are fresh, but the sellers are trying to cheat. We bought 500 gr. to encircle the lamb, we cheated. After cleaning, they wanted to return 200 grams of fish.
The best fish market in Adjara. Assortment! I bought it, there are cooking services nearby. You are sitting on the seashore and enjoying delicious fresh fish.
There is no smell on the market, it is very clean, everything is fresh, there is a lot of choice. But there are no price tags, it is probably more expensive for tourists, but the prices are acceptable.
A large selection of seafood at pleasant prices.
All products are fresh, ice-free and very tasty!
Immediately nearby there is a restaurant where these products will also be prepared for you🦐🦀🍱🍤🦪🦞🦑
