I highly recommend you to visit.
1 they were well received, settled in the early morning at 6 a.m., as we arrived. We didn't wait for the check-in time.
2 the owner of the hotel parked the car for us, as the streets and slopes are very narrow, we are not used to such extreme streets.
3 super breakfast dishes, everything was prepared for breakfast right away, as they say, from under the knife.
4 we asked to take our things to the laundry, everything was arranged for us for GEL 15 and delivered on time.
5 We did everything at the first request. They always asked if we were doing well.
6 everything is very clean.
7 good location.
Friendly, smiling people speak Russian.
Very colorful! An unusual and atmospheric place in the historical part of Tbilisi. We had delicious pancakes for breakfast, as well as delicious coffee from Turki.
The doors in the rooms are very weak. Plumbing doesn't work very well either. At night, a strong wind blew through the window, so that I had to sleep under two blankets. In a double room with different beds, there was only one extra blanket. There is no daily cleaning in the rooms. The menu is without special dishes. It's cool to come to the cafe just once to sit on the terrace and make an insta.photos.
A few years ago, this interior was very themed and relevant. Now, in general, it is also interesting to see. The staff is very friendly. Delicious lemonade and medium coffee from Turki. I came in for curiosity.
I would like to express my opinion regarding this "hotel" and warn potential guests.
I highly recommend not staying more than 1 night, the staff does not have the concept of "service". Next, I will list the disadvantages according to the points:
1. Nutrition. We rested with my husband for 9 nights, initially taking breakfast for all days. The breakfasts were scheduled for the time from 9 to 11. On the first day, we arrived for breakfast on time at 10 a.m.-there was almost nothing left of the food. The staff does not record in any way who ate and who did not. Scrambled eggs and sausages were already prepared for us on the go. On the second day, we had to go on an excursion by 8 a.m., so we asked for food with us - the administrator said that there was an opportunity to prepare a box (in general it was satisfying), but we need to inform in advance. On the 3rd day, we had to go on an excursion even earlier (by 7 a.m.)- alas , we didn 't have time to cook and we left hungry . Because we had excursions for all days, we decided to remove the breakfasts. Therefore, if there are no early risers, then I recommend walking to the center and quietly eating a full meal in a cafe.
2. Cleanliness of the rooms and cleaning. During the entire stay, the room was cleaned 1(!) time and only after 5 days of stay, and then only after my repeated requests (it seemed that sometimes my requests were ignored by the administrators). When changing towels and bed linen, dirty ones were brought (see photo). Shampoo was not brought once, shower gel only once (although it is indicated that there are hygiene supplies). Of course, there was no question of a toothbrush with toothpaste. There were woodlice running around in the bathroom, and we noticed ants in the room itself… Thus, this hotel did not distinguish itself by cleanliness.
3. The room. The room itself turned out to be quite shabby - the handle in the toilet was initially broken (I told the owner repeatedly throughout the days-I never fixed it), so they went to the toilet with the door half open; the wallpaper was torn and the floor was broken (you could easily stumble). There was also no TV in the room, as indicated in the description (well, God forbid), a kettle (and it was very necessary - some medicines had to be dissolved in boiling water). There were not enough extras. Trash cans (I had to throw everything out either in the bathroom in the trash or on the street).
4. Location. The hotel itself is located on a hill climb in the old town. It's so hard to walk all the time, and not every taxi runs right up to the hotel. I really did not like the constant walking of tourists who do not live in the rooms - because the Room itself was on the 1st floor, there was no sound insulation at all. There were footsteps, conversations, and all the other noise from the tourists.
In summary, I can say that if this institution positions itself as a hotel, then the rating is no more than 1 star; the service and quality of service are very lame. Unfortunately, our stay in Georgia left a very bad impression on us. Be vigilant and attentive when choosing accommodation (it is better to overpay and choose a chain hotel).
By the way, I completely forgot to finally recommend one beautiful, stylish, straight Instagram hotel - Check Point Tbilisi 🤗 The same "hotel with Frida" 😊 🖼
It is located in the very center of Old Tbilisi. Prices, of course, have increased in 5 years, but where have prices become lower, tell me? In general, if you do not stay here, then be sure to come to the cafe for a snack or lunch. The cuisine here, however, is European, which disappointed us a little - after all, in the center of Old Georgia, you want Georgian food 🤗 But otherwise this hotel is just as beautiful as 5 years ago ❤❤ #Tbilisi Georgia #tbilisi #georgia🇬🇪 #georgia #tbilisigeorgia #tbilisi #georgiatravel #hotelcheckpoint
2 stars only for the appearance of the staff and for the cleanliness.
How can we assess the fact that in 3 months we had a reservation for 5 people, and upon arrival, on the threshold we were told "we don't look at this booking of yours at all, what kind of confirmation was there for you, it's not interesting to us"
And it's just very good that there was 1 room, and they let us in. A few minutes later, a group of 10 people arrived and they would have been accommodated instead of us, so we were just very lucky.
The hotel has a name
Hotel Check Point
I must say right away - it's not about luxury, it's about the atmosphere.
As a result, every morning, my breakfasts were held on the roof of the Frida cafe/hotel, on the terrace, overlooking Mtatsminda Mountain and the TV tower, by the way, my favorite view in Tbilisi.
A nice and cozy hotel,
located in the historical part of the city, with a beautiful view, on a hill, in the very center of Tbilisi.
In general, the hotel is very well located.
You can stay at the hotel for a couple of days and/or come to breakfast like me and/or just stop by for a snack.
The cost of breakfast
20 lari - 680 rubles.
Many people come for breakfast from other districts, because it is not expensive, satisfying, atmospheric, beautiful view and since this is the very center, you can then walk a lot through the beautiful streets of Tbilisi, and come back for lunch again.)
The rooms are small, but as I wrote above, it's about the atmosphere, and the room, by the way, has everything, even a refrigerator.
(I personally looked at the numbers).
The hotel is popular with foreign tourists.
When I lived from
the Philippines, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Canada.
Russian tourists also come here.
And everyone is photographed first of all
at the famous wall, it depicts a self-portrait of the famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
There are many other bright locations for photos.
By the way, you can just go to the hotel and do a gorgeous photo shoot, no one will say a word to you.
Lots of flowers in pots, mosaics, paintings, brightly painted doors, stairs, there is a piano, can you play? Play!
The hotel always plays quiet, pleasant music in the background.
Atmosphere, 10 out of 10!
Nice hotel, there is a cafe on the terrace on the second floor. In the cafe you can take coffee / tea or a glass of wine, and I also advise you to order pancakes, they are very tasty. One pancake can be divided into 2 people, if you are not very hungry. The service is good, the young waiter was very polite, the place made a very pleasant impression in terms of service.
A cool atmospheric place with a beautiful view of the city👍🏻 Friendly young guys at the reception. We rented a two-storey suite for 2 families. Everyone was satisfied!
The place is atmospheric, an easy image is formed from a variety of small things thanks to the taste of the hostess. We specifically searched the map to visit this place. Recognizable by the image of Frida Kahlo.
The interior is interesting and for the photo it is the most, of course you will not walk around the menu. But more or less, there is Wi-Fi, service in a language convenient to you
A very cool and atmospheric place. Excellent view of the city from the summer garden.
Try the pancakes for sure. Cocoa is also magical. We didn't stay in the rooms, but the interior is very pleasant.
Mmmmmm, what a place. Not for everyone, here you need to set up a vibe and climbing up the Georgian streets, stroking cats along the way, be at the painting of a girl, Frida Kahlo, and exclaim: Judging by your eyebrows, everything will grow together!
In my opinion, this hotel no longer needs advertising.
I stayed more than once, very professionally trained staff. In the morning, delicious breakfasts are served to choose from!
A very atmospheric and cozy hotel, in the very center of the old city in Tbilisi.
We are very glad that we stayed there. Inspiration, a lot of positive emotions and warm memories were brought from Georgia. We thank all the hotel staff for the warm welcome, delicious breakfasts and sincere conversations on the highway overlooking Tbilisi. We will definitely stop there next time.
Good location in the center of old Tbilisi.
It's an instagrammed hotel, but the rooms are quite ordinary. And I think they don't justify their price.
Polite administrators who will always tell you the answers to your questions.
Everything is neat. No frills. The staff is something. It's all benevolence. I'll give you a four because there is no restaurant with homemade wine at the hotel.
Excellent attitude, comfortable rooms with air conditioning, WiFi, excellent views of the city from the windows and from the veranda. The hotel is small and very cozy.
