We returned from Abkhazia…
It's just a blessing that we stayed at this hotel, as it was the first time we were in Abkhazia. The hotel is gorgeous, as we wrote below, everything is really like that, and the beauty, and the sea, the private beach, wonderful restaurants on site. We went to see Gagra ... and once again made sure that the hotel was chosen sooooo well))) we never left it again) They ate delicious, drank delicious, had a wonderful time, and it really seemed like there were few people with almost full occupancy. By the way, WiFi works properly everywhere, even on the beach. Room cleaning every day, beach towels are available and in general, the cleaning service works like in serious hotels in Moscow. The service staff are young guys from Russia.
Of the cons:
1. The staff does not always cope with the influx of guests in restaurants, this also applies to the kitchen. We need to fix this somehow. People to hire more, cooks. The dish was brought to the adults, the child was carried for an hour, the child was crying.
2. So you want to eat khinkali today, but they are not there, they have not been delivered, and tomorrow they will not be either. Because that's how it is…
3. The guys from the reception are of course wonderful, friendly, even funny, but sometimes they are so stupid that it's scary for them)))
4. Along the highway to the Old Gagra and the nearest small shopping malls, walk 10-15 minutes along the highway. But! Be careful, especially in the dark and with children, there is a direct gap on the sidewalk in the asphalt and open hatches. I hope they will fix it, otherwise there will be trouble.
Of the advantages:
1. The most important thing is the level of the hotel! We were very afraid to go to Abkhazia and do not regret that we stayed on a quality vacation, and not in a guest house.

The best vacation! An incredible hotel with a history, and the territory is surrounded by greenery: you can climb to the observation deck overlooking Gagra or play tennis on a huge court in the noise of perennial trees. The room offers a stunning view of the sea!

The interior, the views from the window and the hotel grounds are beautiful. But here's the staff... The reception desk and lobby bar are completely unprofessional and unfriendly. The cocktails are terrible, the dishes and service absolutely do not match the appearance of the hotel.
A seven-minute drive away we found a wonderful restaurant called Aparpyl. Where we eventually went to eat and enjoy the wonderful service. And I would like to receive the same level of service without leaving the hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Not far from the border, it is convenient to get there by car. You can easily walk to the sea using the elevator. Everything is done for the convenience of guests: perfect cleanliness in the room and the hotel, a heated swimming pool, a small fitness room, friendly girls at the reception. Very tasty and varied breakfasts, where everyone will find dishes to their liking.
Yes, perhaps the cost of the hotel is slightly higher than others on the coast, but there are no disadvantages.

The best hotel in Abkhazia! I chose based on reviews and was not mistaken. All the advantages are described in other reviews. On my own behalf, I want to thank the masseuse Irina for her individual approach and creativity. She helped me a lot. As for the disadvantages described in other reviews, I would like to advise you to call the booking department and consult when choosing rooms. They told me about all the pros and cons of different rooms and as a result chose the best one. Selected STANDARD room with terrace (sea view ) I really liked it on the 4th floor. The noise from the road hardly bothered, and the view from the terrace is simply amazing.

The service is wonderful, the staff is friendly, a big plus that they are guided around Abkhazia and will always tell you what to see, how to get there and where to go. The rooms are clean, cleaning is daily. The breakfasts are varied, there is food for every taste for lovers of healthy food there is a lot of choice, for children there are sweets and sweets that love everything. A wonderful hotel where you can spend a vacation with children without worrying about rotovirus and other troubles.
Its own private beach, the purest water in the sea. In principle, you can always find sun beds by the pool, that's for sure. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Cleaning is carried out regularly and efficiently.
The rooms are cozy and new.
There are some small questions about the kitchen at the Lighthouse bar.
After several visits, we bought full board and went to the Panorama. Dinner sometimes didn't really come to us. But breakfast and lunch are definitely yes. It's just that I specifically had the task of feeding a 2-year-old child.
Overall, positive impressions about the hotel. For Abkhazia, it is certainly magnificent. I had an experience of living in Amra 5*. Definitely not there, it is quite possible that we will return to the Garden Resort)

Lovely hotel, enjoyed the rest. We were in September 2023. Wonderful beach, amazing sea, cleanliness everywhere. We are very grateful to the men who worked on the beach: they helped with sun beds and umbrellas, special thanks to the lifeguard on the beach, I felt safe under his watchful eye, as I swam next to the protective buoys, but did not violate the boundaries. I also want to thank the pianist who created a wonderful mood with her music. In general, we are grateful to all the employees who very unobtrusively provided us with an amazing vacation. A gorgeous hotel. Incredible clean, fragrant air, breathtaking views!
I chose a hotel for a long time according to all kinds of reviews, I went on vacation with a child, I was 1000% satisfied with the choice.
Of the minuses, it is expensive, there is a busy road nearby (but it runs along the entire coast) and the nearest signs of civilization are 10-15 minutes away from the hotel (on the other hand, this is a plus - very calm, there are no outsiders, and in general, the feeling that you are at the edge of the world).
I specially chose a hotel surrounded by greenery and I didn't regret it. You can walk around the hotel with your child and it doesn't bother you. The hotel is located in a very well-maintained park area. A nice pebble beach, to which a safe and beautiful crossing has been prudently made. Every trip anywhere on the territory of the hotel is a mini-trip with fascinating views.
A lovely clean and warm pool.
Decent breakfasts. Pretty standard, but I was glad that there are always fresh vegetables and fruits. We went to the on-site restaurants for lunch and dinner. There have never been any complaints about food and drinks. I liked the forest grill bar the most. They serve quickly, the food is delicious, although the price tags are Moscow. The menu of all available restaurants will get bored, I think, in 10 days.
The rooms are fresh and perfectly clean, cleaned well, the bed and bath accessories are boiling white. The staff is friendly and accommodating in everything. Before booking, I left a request for a callback, I was contacted via WhatsApp and answered all my questions about the organization of holidays in Abkhazia in general.
Wi-fi is available everywhere on the territory, Mir cards are accepted. There is a playground and a shop with swimming accessories and personal hygiene items. On weekends, however, it is closed 🙃
I've read a lot of bad reviews about the Garden Resort (mostly 2022) and I can't agree with any of them. I believe that the quality of service and infrastructure have improved significantly.
I definitely want to return to this hotel!

Convenient and quick access to the sea (by elevator). Great rooms. Polite staff. Nature is amazing. Well-groomed beach. Turquoise sea. High-quality water entertainment.
From the shortcomings:
Breakfast for 4, little entertainment in the evenings, there is not much entertainment for children and teenagers except for the sea and two pools.

The best hotel in Gagra by 1.000.000%!
We stayed at the hotel from September 16 to September 26 this year. From the very beginning to the very end of the vacation, everything was just perfect. But about everything in order!
The hotel itself is the former hotel Ukraine, the embodiment of the fact that from the great places of the Soviet era you can make an amazing place of our days. The territory is simply gorgeous, I bow low to all gardeners! It may take you half a day to explore the multi-level gardens, parks, walking paths, and observation decks.
The passage to the sea is a separate elevator!, which from the hotel will take you down to a private, fenced beach, with sun beds, umbrellas and its own bathing area. The sea is clean and warm!
The infrastructure is thought out from top to bottom! The hotel has a tennis court, a spa, a fitness room with an indoor pool, an outdoor pool with sun beds and a side-by-side bar, 3 restaurants, a playground, entertainment for children and adults. The only thing is, there is no store, but in general, the nearest one is only 10 minutes on foot
The rooms themselves are large, clean, bright, 10/10 cleaning, towels will always be replaced, beds will be made, water will be brought!
The food was great, we only had breakfast, there we ate half a day ahead!
All the staff is very friendly, everyone is always smiling and saying hello!
We realized for ourselves that almost 50% of the delight of a vacation is a hotel, because living somewhere in the private sector or small hotels in the city center, the sensations would be completely different.
As a result, there is an incredible desire to return here again and recommend it to all your friends! Thank you so much for doing such a great job❤

We had a rest at the end of June 2023. A great hotel, probably the best in this location. The breakfasts are very decent. Daily cleaning, high-quality. The room has everything you need. We took a room with a view of the garden, an incredibly picturesque picture) the balcony is large - comfortable armchairs, a table, poufs, a full-fledged recreation area. And the room itself is quite spacious. There is a small shop on site. I would like to express a special thank you to the administrators - they are very responsive, especially Mikhail, a model of endurance and hospitality. I did not find any disadvantages, but there are suggestions. The hotel's restaurants have a good menu, beautiful serving, good enough service (prices are not low of course), BUT almost all the food is very salty… I don't like bland food, but in Abkhazia it is especially salted, apparently. Restaurants in the city also do this. The children's menu was found only in one restaurant of the hotel and it is not so diverse. If the store sold baby food, it would be magical at all). We were given an extra place for the child - it turned out to be not comfortable, the child slept with us. And in general, everything is super, all the staff is friendly, they will put sun beds, umbrellas, the beach area is very clean (toilet, elevator area). It was just nice to be in this place. Warning - there is no wheelchair access directly to the pool. And in general, there are a lot of stairs, the hotel is located in a terraced park and the views are worth climbing)!!

A small and very cozy hotel. An outdoor and indoor swimming pool, a wonderful spa (I really liked the massage tables and the massage itself, as a compliment there was a 15-minute dry floating session), a small gym, a wonderful lounge bar on the 5th floor overlooking the sunset, and most importantly people - I have not seen such a caring and friendly service for a long time. The table was full of food, there were dances, violin, contests. And every day some kind of entertainment - yoga, aqua aerobics, tangerine swim, a master class on cooking khachapuri. Everything is done with a soul, and it feels.

We are thrilled! Relax, everything is modern, everything is very clear, the beach is clean, the sea is beautiful, there are no crowds of people on the beach. Everything is green, a huge green area, you can eat air with a spoon. Everything is very concise, the reception works clearly and competently, any requests and questions are resolved in seconds. The child vomited in the room, and passed by, I didn't even know what to do with it, you can't remove the smell yourself, the time was 23-30, I called the reception, the staff was immediately sent, they clean every day. Everything is very sharpened for the guests. On Friday, an amazing violinist comes to play in a cafe by the sea. The breakfasts are great, as are the lunches, everything is very tasty and beautiful. The rating of the hotel is 10+ out of 10! Thank you, we really liked it. If Abkhazia is only here. It's expensive, but it's worth the money. The on-site restaurants are also very tasty. The forest restaurant is incredible.

I liked the hotel, I liked the beach, but it still does not reach its cost.The hotel's rather expensive restaurants, which also do not match the price tag in terms of dishes, quickly get bored with breakfast.There is no variety .I did not like that a small number of mini-desserts were taken out at breakfast, they were immediately disassembled, and they were not taken out anymore, there was always the same set of sweet table (cookies of all kinds).Somehow it doesn't really work out that whoever is the first is the one with the slippers. Then why take them out at all, if they were taken out on 2-3 tables at most.Maybe they are taken out every hour of breakfast))).There was always some kind of problem with coffee machines , it bothered me a couple of times . In general, it is quiet and calm. Adequate reception staff are always ready to help if you have any questions. Thank them very much for this!

I had a rest at the hotel, I was very happy in March, I had a wonderful time!
The breakfasts are delicious and included in the room rate. The room price also includes access to a hammam, sauna, gym and swimming pool, there are two of them on site, indoor and outdoor with heated water.The clean area of the hotel is suitable for walking. Room cleaning is daily and impeccable. What pleased me the most was that the responsive, friendly staff are always ready to help!

Wonderful hotel, fresh modern design, well-groomed territory. The room is cozy, clean. There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool on site. From the staff, I would like to single out Mikhail at the reception and Yulia, the waiter-bartender. Friendly, ready to help and advise on any issue. But unprofessional service in the person of Victoria's waiter and the work of the kitchen (I don't know the name of the cook) at the Lighthouse restaurant at the hotel, on the evening of October 15 and 16, could easily cancel the work of the entire hotel team. I will not write the details and reduce the points too, since the advantages significantly outweigh the 2 unpleasant incidents with specific personnel. The course of customer orientation will definitely not hurt them.
It is worth noting that in the evening there was not enough bartender in the Mayak restaurant, it is difficult to serve, count and prepare cocktails for one waiter, perhaps this is one of the reasons for the unpleasant incidents that happened.
P.S. Connecting the promenade of the hotel with neighboring ones will significantly increase its attractiveness.

Impressions of the 5+ hotel, huge well-groomed territory, cleanliness, gorgeous sea views. The beach is clean, convenient and quick descent by elevator. We read a lot of different reviews about the hotel, worried whether we would be able to relax in peace. Today I can say for sure: everything is fine - a comfortable room (special thanks for the central ventilation), a well-groomed territory (pieces of "history" are left in some places), a beautiful park, numerous restaurants, a clean and comfortable pebble beach - everything is on solid 5! Come here without fear. It's perfect for Abkhazia (no offense, dear Abkhazians, please)😊
We lived in building C, a two-room suite with a large balcony overlooking the sea and the forest. Everything is clean, comfortable, neat, and the workers fulfilled any of our desires (even an additional table was brought for fruit). We had breakfast at the Panorama restaurant (included in the tariff), had lunch and dinner at the Les and Mayak grill bars - everything is delicious. Plus, it is close to the border and not in the city of Gagra (otherwise there would be noise, jostling, cows). There is a fitness center, spa, indoor and outdoor pools, hammam, sauna, steam room. We've been everywhere in a few days.
Not even a short-term blackout scared me…

A great place to relax, very fresh renovation, good cuisine, wonderful park and interior decoration of the territory. The pool, in which we swam both in the morning and in the evening, is at a height, there is even a children's pool. An observation deck and a gazebo where you can sit in the evening, breathe fresh air and listen to the singing of birds and the chirping of cicadas - all this creates a favorable impression of the hotel. We have rested in Abkhazia many times .We stayed in different places, and they were all good in their own way. This time I wanted to see something new) It took several days to choose a hotel. And we did not lose!!! Rest 10 out of 10 despite rainy weather (end of November) )) I liked absolutely everything:friendly staff, breakfasts, ordered dishes in the cafe, the hotel itself, the territory, the room.For two days we didn't go anywhere once and at the same time we didn't get bored. There was something to do: we walked around the territory, by the sea, swam in the pool on the street, visited the sauna and spa. We will definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. I really liked it. The staff is very friendly. The territory is large. There is a fitness room with a sauna and a hammam. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool with sun loungers and changing rooms. There is a separate sauna complex and even a tennis court.

We had a rest in September, we got caught in the rains and a storm. It was during these days that the outdoor pool was icy. How many vacationers tried to swim - no one could. Maybe they heat it up in winter, but we were left without the sea and without a pool. After an evening excursion in the mountains, we decided to warm up in the sauna and hammam and were out of luck again. The sauna is 50 degrees, the hammam was not heated at all. They listened at the reception and didn't even apologize. The standard rooms, which overlook the garden, have a damp smell (but this is again due to the rains), the courtyard is not ventilated. The breakfasts are varied, delicious, the hotel is cozy, the staff is friendly. Clean, clean well, quiet, comfortable mattresses. A hotel for relaxation. In general, it's not bad, but the moments with the pool and sauna spoiled this relaxation.

An excellent hotel with a beautiful area around it: a huge park with rich vegetation, a clean private beach with plenty of sun beds. A high-speed elevator will take you to the beach. Buffet meals - for every taste, a variety of fruits, vegetables, salads, drinks, porridges, fish dishes, meat, dairy products - everything is fresh, homemade, very tasty and varied pastries - just to name a few. The service is excellent! The linen was changed after 3 days, beach towels can be changed every day. Bottled water was provided to the room daily. There is water in the cooler next to the reception. The rooms have a safe, iron, dryer, ironing board, electric kettle, refrigerator. In the shower there is shampoo, conditioner for washing hair, gel, body lotion, soap. All this has been replenished several times. "Singing fountains" started working every day at 8.30 pm with a different musical program. For fans of healthy lifestyle and sports, there is a gym and many events are organized. I can confidently recommend this hotel to anyone who chooses Gagra for a vacation!
