Some legends say that a dragon lived in the temple, who bred bats and they served him.
Other legends say that the caves are inhabited by huge half-snakes, half-human Nagas who guard the treasures hidden in the labyrinths of the cave.
Another legend says that the caves are the entrance to parallel worlds.
But the Balinese themselves claim that the cave is huge and there are passages connecting the Goa Lavah temple with the Besakih temple, the distance between the temples is more than 30 km. Travelers who got lost in the cave were never met dirty and scared on the territory of the Beskakih temple.

The temple is not big, but it is beautiful. The proximity to bats is intriguing. There is a black sand beach nearby . We got to the day of the celebration of the full moon.
