Larisa Ivanovna Sergeeva and my daughter Kristina would like to express our gratitude to surgeons Valery Rafikovich Manukyan and Saida Garievna Shulumba and other medical staff at the Gagra Mountain Hospital for the prompt and professional help provided to me at the time of the threat to my life.
The nurses who helped me and the nurse in the dressing room had golden hands.
Everyone is caring.
I wish you all good health and happiness. Through you, the Lord sends help to the sick. May the Lord protect you all from all kinds of troubles, may the mercy of God be with you so that all of you may be saved.
We are proud of you.Thank you for having us.We wish you success in your hard work and God's help in everything.you have a high mission in this life.By serving the sick, you are serving the Lord God himself.May the Lord protect you all.
I bow low to you all.
Many thanks to the doctors of the children's department, we came with a child from a boarding house at night with a rot virus, took in two ivs and an injection without any questions, without any insurance, even though we are from St. Petersburg.Kind, polite people are real doctors, not medical workers like in Russia. And the department itself is no worse than ours, clean and tidy.
The building of the Soviet era is a beautiful architectural structure where it is clean, neat, and bright. Wonderful and responsive people work here - professionals in their field! Visiting hospitals while on vacation is not a favorite activity. My family had to seek help from a pediatrician. In 30 minutes, the test results were ready, the Doctor conducted a thorough examination and refuted all our fears! There is no paperwork, there are no electronic and other queues, and here everyone who applies will be helped. Thanks!
Abkhazia is a peculiar country and it does not need to be compared. I'm sorry to take it as it is... 09/24/2024 in the evening, my son became ill, all signs of a rotovirus infection. I brought him to the hospital, and it was quiet, everything was open. I ran around the floors for 20 minutes looking for at least one doctor. I found a children's department on the floor, but my son is 16 years old, so he was sent to the adult department. I knocked on the door 4 times and woke up. The staff is well done, calm, professional. In an hour and a half, they raised their son to his feet. They gave out clean bedding, put it in the ward, examined it, measured the temperature, and installed systems.
The amount for the procedure was 3000 rubles. I think this is normal. Like an appointment at a private clinic. Yes, even if they had said ten thousand, I would still have paid to help. Thanks a lot to the staff.
There was a rotovirus virus in the child. Doctors are generally well done, if there is no medical insurance, everything is paid, a drip 2600 + medicines (700-900 RUB). If you apply in time, it will be easier. I recommend treating children on time - they will help! Our evening shift was better (no offense) than the day shift, they were quickly accepted and diagnosed. We visited it twice. It didn't get any easier, we packed up and went to Adler, everything was fully done there, tests were performed, treatment was prescribed - the child felt better!
Why do you, many vacationers, write that rotavirus is inevitable in Abkhazia. It is found all over the Black Sea coast and everyone has their own body and immunity. For four years in a row, we have been vacationing only there and everything is fine with us, the whole family. I have been working as a doctor in Rostov for more than 20 years and I know what I'm talking about. So it is not necessary to say that Abkhazia is a rotavirus and an infection. Follow the hygiene standards and everything will be fine 👍
As I understood, rotavirus in Gagra is not avoided unfortunately ((( This time I had to go to the hospital with a child (((. I was just surprised! A Soviet - era hospital , but it 's so clean , it 's just disgusting 👍
And the staff is a separate story, they are so kind, they immediately put the child under ivs, they answered all questions with a smile , how much love for patients is just aerobatics 🙏 I am so grateful to you from the bottom of my heart for your help without a single reproach or any dissatisfaction 🫶 I really want our some doctors to get to you and we saw how to treat patients. Thank you to all the staff for your love for patients , for your cordiality and I wish you the greatest patience, health and all the best.
I was on vacation in Pitsunda, I was admitted to the Gagra hospital with suspected appendicitis. I arrived on my own, and was immediately referred to a surgeon at the reception. The surgeon examined it carefully, and said that most likely it was not appendicitis and sent for an ultrasound and an appointment with several specialists. Ultrasound of several types was done very quickly, professionally, even other patients gave up their place when they heard about appendicitis. The equipment turned out to be modern, the doctors worked clearly, quickly, and attentively. Hospital services are paid, but prices are 2-3 times lower than in Moscow, and the quality is at a good level. As a result, they determined the cause of the pain, prescribed treatment, and repeated admission. It is clear that people are in their place, focused on real patient care. The building externally and internally requires repair, but its condition does not affect the professionalism of the staff!
Thanks to Dr. Aigul Angamovna.Yesterday, 08/17/2024, we applied for self-help.Honey.The insurance provider offered to apply for free.Make an application in advance and go to the hospital. They put on ivs and came out with the doctor's recommendations and went to their hotel. The doctor is good-natured and attentive.Honey.the nurses all install catheters professionally.Thank you for your help!!!You are the best!
The hospital helped us! Thanks! They went to the hospital for help on 06/19/24 at night at 2 o'clock (the children did not stop vomiting dade after the injection of cerucal in the room). At the reception department, we were directed to the 6th floor, where we were met by a doctor and a nurse. They offered to make a drip and stay in the morning in a 2-bed ward for the patient, too, it is mandatory. The IV was placed well. In the morning, making sure that the children were better discharged at 8-00. But the temperature wasn't even measured, just by eye. They gave me an appointment. The cost for 1 child is 2400. The department is of course very old, but tolerable, the toilet is sad without a latch, but it works, it's clean enough. The staff is friendly. We did not regret that we applied. Thanks!
Спасибо большое за помощь. Стало плохо с сердцем, а нам уезжать. Приняли сразу, капельницу поставили. Привезли в сознание. Доехала домой нормально.
Все очень профессионально.
I got to the hospital with rotavirus, they helped me quickly, they put an IV, which was already dripping, I barely reached the hospital, after the IV it became much better, the doctor gave me a prescription for which they bought medicines, they also gave me medicines 300₽, the service itself 2000₽, everything is very decent, very friendly Doctor and nurse, thank you very much for the very quick help!
At night, we took a taxi to the emergency department to get rid of poisoning and severe headache. At the hospital, the symptoms were asked, three ivs were put on, recommendations for further recovery were written (what to drink, how much and how to take, diet). The headache went away on the second drip. The staff was kind and called us a taxi back to the hotel. Of course, ivs are not free, because in another country without insurance. But thank you very much for the help and the human attitude. They helped.
I was both in the children's department with my daughter and with an adult. They were fleeing from rotavirus. The hospital is old, shabby, Soviet. But the doctors are good, qualified, attentive. They provide assistance quickly and well. Polite and pleasant. The nurses are good too. They treat for a fee, but not expensive. But this is a different country, and that's how it should be.
like many people, we caught rotovirus for child 1.7, we were accepted without waiting in line, at first it was scary that in another country and how it would go... but I'll say it even better than ours... they offered us an IV, I immediately agreed, they put a catheter on the first time, they won't always get it in Moscow.. in general, when you come to a medical institution, the last thing you look at is the repairs and the environment around, the first and only thing you wait and ask for help, so thank you very much
Good morning. I wish you all good health and good mood. We recently returned from a vacation in Abkhazia. We have been vacationing for the fifth year, this is our favorite resort.
It so happened that my son's ear hurt. I found on the Internet that there is a clinic in Gagra, and we rushed there. We arrived at the beginning of the reception (by 9:00), we were received by a wonderful doctor, Motova Yulia Viktorovna, did an examination, diagnosed, washed our ears, It turned out to be acute otitis externa, gave recommendations and prescribed treatment. Everything was clearly, quickly, and soulfully done. We came to see our doctor again, she rinsed our ears again, wished us a speedy recovery and upon arrival home (in the Moscow region), be sure to contact an otolaryngologist at the place of residence. Today we did so, we went to the doctor at the place of residence. The doctor said that everything was done in a timely manner and treatment was prescribed correctly, which led to a rapid recovery.
I want to say a huge thank you and give the highest assessment to the best doctor - Motova Julia Vladimirovna 👏👏👏 God bless you, I bow low to you 🙏👏👏👏
I do not wish anyone to visit this place, but if you are in Gagra, the probability of getting here is very high. The infection box works like a conveyor belt, a constant non-stop flow of patients with rotavirus infection. At the first sign, do not delay, come right here. The medical staff is competent, they will put you on your feet quickly and efficiently. Thank them very much. The hospital itself needs to be repaired, however, like all buildings of state institutions in Abkhazia.

It's a disgusting place. I got there with an acute condition. They posted it quickly enough, just took a look, asked a couple of questions, no examination, no tests were done, they were put on a drip for two hours. I really asked for something to give me painkillers, but for some reason it worked, probably only after a few hours. (the IV and syringes were already brought to the room ready, after all the experience in this hospital, I was afraid that it wasn't disposable, it was dirty.) In general, they dug me up, it seemed to make me feel better, they come in and say that they say such a price and you are free. I'm in my pajamas, a tourist, and it was about 3-4 a.m. (as it turned out, they initially charged me for hospitalization for a DAY, but they started kicking me out after a couple of hours). I asked to stay because there were problems with the Internet and I couldn't get through to my friends to pick them up. From the "master's shoulder" I was allowed to stay for another couple of hours (I remind you, the bill was issued for a day). Next, the calculation, they said 3,000, I say that I have insurance and it should cover everything, to which I was brazenly DECEIVED and told that I should pay in cash now and once for insurance, it is more expensive and will be 4,000.... They refused to give me any paper confirming the payment, they told me to come for it in a few days. It really confused me, but at 5 a.m. it's kind of hard to think. A few days later, I return to the hospital and then it started: I go to one building, they tell me we have nothing, we won't give it to them. Go to another building, to another office, I go where they said, and there it's the same thing: but we have nothing, go back, and so on in a circle. Then: your doctor is not here right now, no one knows what happened to you and at what time, so we can't do anything, to which I argued that this could not happen in principle, then the envious woman instantly became very busy (she had time to put up with nonsense, and to arrange my documents for me, then everything is very busy at once). As a result, I got to the head physician, and, dear mom, this is just an indescribable level of rudeness, and out of the blue, she started yelling at me almost immediately (no one from the staff had ever done this before, everyone was communicating normally, and I, in turn, kept myself in check despite the whole situation). and the essence of what she said: spend a day or a whole week here, that's when they want, then they will give you the documents.... You can spend a long time explaining how and what happened there, that people like me couldn't stand it and left, waving their hands, that there were those who tried to convince me that you wouldn't succeed, you were just wasting your time, that as a result, there were many "discoveries" in the documents given to me, and more there are a lot of things, but in my opinion, what I have told you will be enough for any civilized person to have an idea of this place. Take care of yourself and don't get sick, but in principle it's better not to come to this country.
The whole family was lying there with rotovirus, on different days. I've heard that everything is so shabby there, of course it can't be compared with a private clinic, in principle it's fine. The ambulance with poisoning does not come to the call, they said get there yourself. The staff is like everywhere you run into, but the professionals brought my wife in a semi-fainting state, a couple of ivs and she was like a cucumber. I saw it for the first time.
Services for tourists are paid, 2000 per person for a "consultation" and an IV, an injection. Payment is made to someone's pocket, not through the cashier. First they gave me an injection, then they told me about the cost of services. There was no consultation as such, the pressure and temperature were measured. The IV and injections are given by the nurse without using gloves. They also take cotton wool with blood with their bare hands, patients are not particularly monitored, the IV was turned off themselves so that the blood did not get there. There was old cotton wool with blood in the ward, syringe caps, a needle on the window frame, there was no question of sterility. Of course, there were no high expectations from this hospital, but at least basic compliance with safety rules, apparently no one has heard about blood-borne diseases here. As a result of treatment, there was no relief of symptoms.
On the night of 06/20/2024, she was taken by ambulance (arrived quickly) to the hospital's emergency room with symptoms of an oral viral (dysentery) infection. The therapist, yawning (after all, one o'clock in the morning), asked me about everything, meanwhile the girl (probably some kind of assistant), noticing on a flip or by eye (the pressure was measured in the ambulance, it was elevated) that I had all the signs of tachycardia on my face, tried to perform the act of removing a cardiogram, while the beauty clearly did not has the skills to use an electrocardiograph. However, under the strict guidance of a doctor (or maybe not a doctor) of the emergency department, I was able to do it on the second attempt))). After that, it was decided to put me in the infectious department on an IV drip. I assumed that the IV would be paid, as its cost was known, but the fact that the removed cardiogram is far from free, but costs 500 re, was a surprise to me. To my objections and protest about paying for a service that I did not ask for and the cost of which was not initially announced to me, the princess decided to give it to me for free. I delicately refused, explaining my refusal by the fact that I already have cardiograms that were previously taken, and that I am aware that they are all good and still had to notify me that it is paid, after that of course I would politely refuse. For some reason, the girl got angry at me (it's understandable), muttered an insult into my departing trail (yes, yes, I heard that!). They gave me a drip and took 2,000 re from me. In all likelihood, the price included 1,500 IV service
+ 500 re cardiogram (Ehhh....). My ward was clean, although the bed linen smelled like the previous one being dug))), but I already didn't care about the reusable bedding in the infectious. After the IV, and in general (it's night after all), I was terribly sleepy. The nurse was caring, but for some reason she said that in principle I could go home (at about 4:23 in the morning), but I refused. Hooray, they left me, although at 6 o'clock in the morning I still ran away. At my request, the good girl wrote what medications I was treated with, as well as prescribed medications that I had to take on my own, made the payment by transfer to the nurse, they did not give me any checks / receipts for payment.
By the way, this dropper, according to the medical lady, is a common saline solution to replenish the water balance when it is lost during dysbiosis and it does not carry any therapeutic functions. Something like this. Thank you. Svetlana V.
Outwardly, of course, the building is beautiful))) but seriously, you shouldn't expect a miracle, although there are a couple of people with good knowledge and experience.
I have pneumonia in Abkhazia. It's a pity that the doctors couldn't identify her, I had to fly away with a high fever. It is also a pity that for every injection, for visiting any doctor, even if this doctor did nothing, they take money from vacationers. There are very good doctors. A very good and competent doctor, as well as a good person is an infectious disease specialist Alisa Leonidovna. The ultrasound specialist is not bad. If I had had an X-ray, I would have been able to avoid many complications.
The building is very old, but very nice and helpful people work here. The child cut his head open, and stitches had to be applied. The nurse girls are friendly, the surgeon did everything without unnecessary words. We thought that we would have to go home for a rest. Excellent doctors! thank you!

Thanks to Dr. Liana Grigorievna, we got it and it was as good as new a day later.
Without insurance, everything is paid for and it is natural. But you need to buy medicines and systems yourself.
They don't feed you in the hospital.
Of course, the conditions are on the verge... but we were lucky to be given a VIP room, my husband could be with me. With a bathroom and air conditioning. But she's the only one, as I understand it, in the entire therapy department.
But the main thing is doctors. But here, as in Moscow, if you're lucky.
Everything is paid in the hospital, a doctor's consultation is 1500, a cardiogram is 500, a bed is 2500, ivs, with their own medicine are 400, tests are 400, injections are 300. they don't even feed the locals, if there are no acquaintances who will starve, the linen on the bed is terrible, the wards are dark, they don't clean, they don't wash. The only plus is caring, competent nurses.
We had a rest in Abkhazia in November 2023. Everything would have been great if the rotovirus with all its manifestations and dehydration had not intervened on the last day. And fly away tomorrow. I arrived at the hospital on the evening of November 21. In the emergency room, the young doctor (unfortunately I don't know what his name is) reacted with understanding, quickly assessed the situation. Competently prescribed emergency first aid, gave recommendations for further treatment. In the infectious diseases department, nurse Vera dug me out for almost 3 hours. The handles are gold. I did everything perfectly. I got into my not very good veins the first time. There wasn't even a trace left afterwards. I flew home to Sratov normally. Thank you very much to such doctors with a capital letter, literate, responsive, polite, patient (after all, we patients sometimes are not very white and fluffy). You are my saviors. God bless you and bow low to you. The hospital is old, there must have been repairs in the accommodation. The ward is clean. When emergency help is needed, I am ready to receive it in any conditions. Thank you again for accepting and helping.
I strongly advise you to visit this hospital if you feel sick, weak and loose stools. Contact us as early as possible.
My wife woke up at 5 a.m. feeling terrible. In addition to these symptoms, my stomach and head ached.
At 13:00 we decided to go to this hospital and it got better in 1 hour. The communication is cultural and it helped us. Thanks a lot
Unfortunately, we managed to visit this hospital because rotavirus is rampant in Abkhazia. The staff is not bad, they quickly made a drip. Everything is clean, everything is fine. We gave 2,000 rubles for a visit
Thank you very much to the doctor in the children's department. She didn't ask me my name. But she has very beautiful blue eyes and I think she will remember us. I was with two children, my son is an adult, but she cured my daughter Yulia Kuzmina. Thank you very much 🫶
Hello. Thanks to Iskander Kamilevich G. for understanding, for kindness, responsiveness, and support! It's nice to know that such people are around. I wish you prosperity, goodness, well-being, harmony and happiness! Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the help, timely and so necessary.
I would like to express my special gratitude to the medical staff of the department for their attentive care and sensitivity towards patients.
The hospital inside is not like in Russia, but the main thing is the result. We needed a second X-ray, because we arrived already with a cast. On the second floor, a rengent was made without any problems, everything was deciphered, I paid 600 rubles. Everything is fast. The nurse asked to call a taxi, the friendly nurse. We were in the hospital for 30 to 40 minutes.
I caught a hard rotovirus and barely alive from dehydration sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes, although there was only 1 person in front of me. The wards are small, but there was one in the ward, it was clean, according to this norm. The IV was put on well professionally, the next day I was on my feet.
The only thing I liked was the sea view! The hospital itself is very old and the elevators are in poor condition. Full board of Directors. But the staff is polite and pleasant to talk to.
She came with sore ears, the doctor was competent - she examined, consulted in detail, wrote out a prescription. The nurse offered to pay at the cash register with a check or on the spot without a check. the reception cost 1000 rubles. I really enjoyed the service. There was no queue
A pregnant wife with fainting and dehydration as a result of an intestinal infection was taken away by an ambulance, which arrived literally in 3 minutes, he brought the child himself. The doctors are very polite and caring, and in just an hour everyone was returned to normal. Many thanks to everyone involved.
This is trash... unsanitary conditions, the staff works according to a template, they try to get rid of the patient as much as possible (in our case, a child), medical insurance does not work,

Like many in the reviews, I got here with rotavirus.
Unfortunately, all hand washing activities 100 times a day, antiseptic treatment of appliances, etc. did not help, this is probably a matter of immunity and luck.
The hospital admitted me quickly, there was no queue in the waiting room in the middle of the day.
They put 2 ivs and antipyretic, the doctor and nurses are all friendly nice girls, they try to do everything neatly and painlessly.
After 40 minutes, I was walking calmly and felt great, although the temperature was under 39 before and no polysorbs with rehydrates saved me.
In the morning, there was no temperature, as if nothing had happened.
Thanks to the specialists of this hospital.
PS I don't know about the other floors, but on the 1st floor everything was very civil for a city hospital.
The hospital is old, without repair. Of course, they took the child, put on an IV, when they gave me the bill for payment, I was surprised, the bill was for 4030 rubles, so it's better not to get sick, or go to Sochi.
The hospital building is in disrepair, of course. But great gratitude and respect to the doctors who work in such conditions and do not refuse to help the guests of their city.
I got to this hospital with quincke's edema, wild urticaria is an allergy, that is, I needed emergency help, so my larynx began to swell. They were taken in the waiting room quickly, the girls were very polite, only, then they sent the Czech department to the therapist and there was already a terrible condition of the room, shabby walls, all the bedside tables were stripped, they put two dexamethosone droppers in front of the men's toilet, put two dexamethosone droppers (ampoule 35 rubles) and pierced a vein, the doctor came up once for 3 minutes, I hinted that it was not free, (no problem), when it got a little easier, I was ready to run headlong from there, because it was stuffy, stinking, dirty, but to find out how much I had to wait an hour and a half, first the doctor had lunch, then she was busy, in the end they said write a refusal and pay ..... And then, to put it mildly, I was shocked by the amount announced for two droppers of 35 rubles, when I asked if they had a price list where the amount came from, they said the doctor said so much, asked if they would give me a document reporting I have insurance, I can refund the money, they started shouting that I was unscrupulous they helped me And I'm such a cheeky person here, and I'm also asking questions. I understand everything, there is nothing free, but when people-doctors are just blatantly rude, and this lack of humanity and the desire to grab more is off the scale-it's just disgusting. In general, I remember this hospital for a long time.
Words of great gratitude to the duty doctor of the children's department, Elena, whose last name, unfortunately, I do not know, and to the sisters who were on duty on October 5-6, 2023! For humanity, responsiveness and kindness! The child, 2 years old, has an acute viral infection. They came to the IV three times and each time they took us without a shadow of irritation, politely listening to our complaints, Treated us and prescribed further treatment and diet. A separate word about the nurses' professionalism: the baby had almost no visible veins from dehydration, every time we arrived we had to put a new catheter and always found a vein. The child was treated very kindly and carefully. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
I would like to express my gratitude to the doctor of the children's department of the hospital. unfortunately, I did not ask the name of the doctor, on July 22, 2023, the child and I were urgently taken to the hospital with a suffocating cough from the boarding house of Amzara opk Pitsunda, it was very scary for the child, and besides it was Saturday, but the doctor was on site and we received qualified assistance, they gave inhalation, gave an injection and the child began to breathe as before, they experienced such horror while in a foreign country, thank you Abkhazians, you are really real friends who came to the rescue in a moment, bow low to you.I wish there were such kind and helpful people everywhere.
Responsive doctors and nurses. No queues, no problems (we are not local) quickly adopted a 7-year-old daughter with rotovirus. The daughter was almost unconscious, from dehydration. For almost a day we lay in the ward under ivs.
Yes, this is not a private clinic for you, with a perfect repair, BUT you apply for help there, and they provide it to you.
We are very grateful to the doctors!
I would like to express my immense gratitude to the doctor of the emergency department Natalia Fedorovna and the nurse of the infectious diseases department Sveta for their efficiency, professionalism and just a human attitude in providing medical care to my son Vadim. Thank you very much! Let only such people with a big heart, health and family well-being meet on your way! With all due respect, the mother of a 19-year-old child from Bashkiria)
The building is terrible, complete ruin, but the elevator is working and the specialists are good, my daughter's ear was picked up, not local people are served for little money.
We are vacationing in Abkhazia. My wife had a problem, she injured her knee. Despite the fact that it was Saturday, everyone was in the hospital. We were quickly referred to a surgeon, and he immediately sent us for a picture. There are no queues anywhere. 10 minutes later, we were back at the surgeon's with the picture. Fortunately, the injury was not so serious, we were prescribed treatment and we left. We express our gratitude to the surgeon Amin Ramazanovich and the radiologist, unfortunately we did not find out his name and patronymic.
The building is an architectural marvel of the USSR. The doctors are good. But there is only one thermometer for the whole queue. On behalf of the Tyumen residents, he presented a thermometer to therapists.
