Like 5 stars, but actually 3. Cockroaches in the dining room, the choice of dishes is meager. Eating fruit in the morning is good. There are grilled fish and grilled meat. It's the same every day, and you get tired of them. In the room, you sleep under a sheet with a blanket instead of a normal blanket. There is no brush in the toilet, which was a nuisance. To solve the problem, we used a branch found on the street. Everything in its entirety resembled luring tips for the elimination of artificially created inconveniences.
In general, they say that this is normal for Cuba.
I recommend non-drinkers to think carefully before flying for 14 hours in the hope of good service and food. It's not there. Nowhere.
On the plus side: the ocean is magical, the water is blue like on the iPhone screensaver. Swimming is a pleasure. A boat and catamaran are included in the price. I was satisfied with diving on excursions. It costs 70 €. The underwater world is, of course, more boring than in Egypt, but it was enough for me for the first dive. We sailed at a maximum depth of 5 meters, sailed near a sunken barge. Local diving instructors are highly praised, which I agree with.
I definitely recommend Cuba to drinkers, only for my taste, kakyo-coco is a bit boring. I advise you to fly to varodero. There is life there and behind the hotel, and Havana is only a 2-hour drive away. Would I fly to Cuba again? ...
unlikely. Not even because of the money, but because of an unreasonably long flight. But I think you can fly for the 1st time, get acquainted with history, culture, cocktails, live music and cheesewara.

We rested at the Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo Hotel in the period from 05/21/24/2024.
We were in Cuba for the third time, in this hotel for the first time.
When making the tour, I left a wish to be settled on the 2nd floor, so we were given a room on the 2nd floor, we were visiting on the 3rd floor, the view is steeper, we try to avoid the first floor from previous experience, mosquitoes, midges, damp. Do not forget to issue declarations for entry, they were issued to us at the travel agency.
Mosquitoes fly in the evening, we wanted to sleep in the evening, we didn't go anywhere, they didn't bite us.
The meeting with the guide is a separate song: the meeting was protracted, took place in some kind of conference room, it was very stuffy and hot, I don't understand why I should mock myself and the vacationers so much, knowing that it was so, it would be better to spend it at the reception. The imposition of a VIP lounge, paid seats on the plane, although it was comfortable to be in an ordinary lounge at the airport and we sat together on the plane. To talk non-stop about excursions, as if each excursion is the last and free, but it was not there, it was such a move, I did not like this meeting at all.
I liked the number, any questions / malfunctions on the number are quickly resolved.
And the staff at this hotel is wonderful, friendly, responsive, friendly, funny, not spoiled by tips. The room was cleaned by a woman, so that I did not ask her, she immediately, gladly helped me (the TV did not work, immediately brought us another one, we could not get into the room, immediately responded and called the master, without tipping, she put us in order, cleanliness and beauty, for the first time I see such a wonderful maid It's a sin not to thank such a woman, which we did.
There was an ironing board, an iron, an umbrella, a coffee machine in the room, I don't know why it is, it would be better to put a kettle on. There are no mugs for tea and spoons for ice cream in the restaurant, it is inconvenient, you have to constantly ask for a spoon, tea is only for breakfast, it is also not convenient, or go to the bar.
There was always something to eat, sometimes they messed with dinners, you don't know where you will be fed, or mostly, or near the beach, they focus on the number of vacationers in the hotel. Few vacationers immediately turn on the economy mode.
From fruits: bananas, pineapples, papaya, mango, guava, depending on what they have in stock, sometimes ripe, delicious, sometimes not.
Several types of fish and meat are fried for dinner in front of you, my son wanted chicken, but there was pork and beef, and he does not like fast-cooked meat, because it was too raw for him, he was looking for a meal from ready-made dishes. I ate fish and fruits.
Ice cream is available for lunch and dinner, for lunch you can also eat pizza by the beach, for pizza lovers.
The Indian restaurant is excellent, very tasty, Italian is about nothing.
There were not enough freshly squeezed juices in bars (at least they would have done it for money), or packaged juices, they drank sweet jupi, different flavors, and more all their vacation.
At the end of the vacation, we ate too much, we didn't want to eat or drink anything, no fruit, no ice cream, nothing, so I advise you to take combined tours, a week here, a week there, if the vacation allows.
Beach: sunbeds, I don't really understand why they should be piled on top of each other in the evening, so that they can pull again in the morning, they would put everything carefully and everything, at least the minimum amount, otherwise you either wait or you yourself will.
The sandy beach at this hotel ends and then the rocky one begins, you can walk along it far, for those who like to take pictures of sunsets and climb rocks, climb the mountain, we walked every evening after dinner, to the next sandy beach, you can go further (but then you need to go out earlier),
the sunsets are amazing.
Coconuts are sold on the beach and on site. Around 11-12 o'clock, sellers of mangoes and pineapples come, you can take them on the plane, well, except for coconuts, of course.
Free rental on the beach for vacationers, as well as small excursions to swim with a mask, fishing, for money.
The sea, the sea is different, it depends on the weather, the month. Without growing algae, transparent. At first, the sea was deeper in the morning, a little coolness was felt at the entrance, in the evening it was shallow and warm (the sea was knee-deep) half a km had to be passed so that it was normal, after what time everything changed, in the morning it was shallow, in the evening it was deeper, there were days when there were waves, there were no reptiles in the sea, swim you can comfortably do as much as you want. There was a day when there was a good deep sea. Overall, the beach is good. There are hotels with algae on the same coastline, where bridges to the sea are visible, also for an amateur (but it is interesting to swim with a mask, watch and fish in algae).
At the reception there is a bus schedule to Pilar beach and a supermarket, there is no return schedule at the reception, you need to find out either from the conductor or from the driver, the cost is $ 5 per day per person.
Souvenirs are sold at the entrance to the hotel on the right, there is also a shop, in the store payment is only by bank transfer. They saw it by accident.
To compare the cost, the price of the same perfume ($ 10 in the store, $ 30 at the airport).
It was not convenient on the day of the eviction, departure at 23 o'clock, and vacate the room at 12 o'clock, or an additional payment of $ 15 per hour. You can make an appointment at the reception to wash if you do not extend the room, they give you towels. You check in at 16 o'clock, you check out at 12 o'clock, in general, four hours have disappeared somewhere... We extended the room for an hour so as not to jerk off from the sea. That year we had a vacation in Venezuela, where they extended our room for free.
There are cockroaches in the hotel, but wherever there are none, we find them everywhere, wherever we rest.
It's the third time in Cuba, it's about the same everywhere, but this hotel is wonderful for its team! The beach is very suitable for children, for those who cannot swim and are afraid of rays and sharks and do not like algae. The rest was a success, thanks guys, you are the best!

The rooms are tired, there is Internet everywhere in the hotel, there are enough towels, there is gel and shampoo.
Three-course meals, fruits not every day, vegetables too, there is no question about fresh food. You won't stay hungry, but it's not interesting.
The ocean is beautiful, clean, but with low tides, there is often no opportunity to swim. There is a midge on the beach, it bites imperceptibly, but then the bites itch for a very long time.
I read in the reviews that the beach is very beautiful. In my opinion, it looks like an amateur (and it's not me).
Rum is an endless river in bars, but the bartenders are boring (especially compared to their Dominican neighbors).
The animation is not bad, the evening shows are quite good!

By the standards of Cuba, the hotel is very good. But this year, in my opinion, there are about three stars left from five, according to the stories of vacationers earlier. The staff is very friendly, but there were some problems with the food. Of course, I understand that the Republic of Cuba survives as best it can and I really liked the rest, but when you give money for 5 stars, you expect 5 stars. It is clear that the flight is expensive and that's it...
In general, I give 4 stars and recommend everyone to visit the republic at least once. The ocean, the sun and the sand are just super!

The service is just terrible.... We flew with my husband in June 2024 and I can say this: there is terribly little food, no drinks at all, a couple of alcoholic cocktails in the assortment, the staff DOES NOT WANT to do ANYTHING without a "whip and stick", the first days we simply did not change the towels, we did not want to change the bed linen, the floor was not washed.... I painted only 20% of everything that we were shocked by) it's clear that they fly to Cuba not to cool hotels, but to the beautiful ocean, but we were at the same hotel in 2022, everything was great!!!!!! For this reason, we decided to return, but, alas, the service collapsed, it is clearly not 5*, but a maximum of 3*

This is paradise! An excellent hotel on the very shore of the Atlantic Ocean on the island of Cayo Guillermo.A huge swimming pool complex with ocean views is fantastic! The staff is friendly, attentive, helpful. Several bars with good and efficient bartenders, a variety of drinks, 6 restaurants.A wonderful beach. For the first time I was in a hotel where catamarans, kayaks, yachts are all inclusive. A wonderful and diverse cuisine from meat of different types and cooking methods to seafood, lobster is now my gastronomic love, in January there were papaya, guava, melons, pineapples, bananas, watermelons and many more fruits. The ice cream is so delicious that I wanted it endlessly, the pizza is super! A modern gym with cool gym equipment. Good animation. The territory is huge, green and logical. There is a tennis court, 3 Ala carte restaurants, we were in all, I liked the Indian one more.The spa has a separate large area, with adjacent shops. Cuba has been my long-held dream and has come true in the best possible way!

The food is intermittently normal (while the Canadians were in the predominance, it was cool, then worse, but the shrimp and red fish were all the same)
Cocktails in the lobby are just a bomb!

Groundhog Day is exactly about Cayo Guillermo, just enjoy the ocean, except for visiting playa Pilar (if the ocean seems steep, then it's definitely even steeper there) and cool cocktails with swimming and lying on the beach there is nothing to do)
The rest has gone, it's a different world. The food is definitely better than Turkish.

I was at the hotel in October.The hotel is modern, the territory is well-groomed, there is a variety of dishes and drinks in restaurants and bars, everything would be fine.But the beach is dirty, algae and garbage are not cleaned.The rooms also do not enjoy the attention of the maids, make the bed and put a bottle of water.Garbage was removed 1 time in 5 days, towels were changed at the request and then not all, but only 2.The bed has not been changed once all the time.They lick Canadians, because they litter with dollars.If you don't pay attention to it, then in general, everything is fine, a solid four.

The hotel is located half an hour by bus from the airport, currently June 2023 is considered one of the more or less corresponding 5 stars (although this is not entirely true), but tourists from other hotels move here to at least eat bread and not see snakes. I want to leave a review about the hotel in Cuba for the first time, we settled promptly, stopped by at 6:00 in the morning, immediately gave bracelets, as usual, asked to wait, went to inspect the hotel of course, the Atlantic captivates the turquoise ocean unforgettable! About the hotel: the rooms are ordinary as always, but everything works, we do not like to find fault, we are looking for the advantages they are! Since we are traveling with a small child, the first thing I did was turn off the air conditioner, but I will say it is dug up at night, it blows even when turned off, the inertia is cold at night, noticeably the next day I covered it with a towel, I will attach a photo that may be useful to someone))) we lived on the ground floor overlooking the ocean, the view is amazing, but problems with the lock are usually a constant problem in hotels. We had to change cards more than once, but not critically. The kitchen does not spoil, but no one will stay hungry))) delicious coffee rum, the atmosphere is pleasant in general, I rested like in every hotel there are some nuances, but they can be found everywhere a decent hotel , I advise
