Well, what can I say - a good Soviet department store.
So much has already been written about this that there is nothing to add.
I recommend you to visit.
There is something to be happy about.
This is..... A SHOCK! I got the impression that you were in the 90s!!! The location is in the center of Minsk, the building is beautiful, but the location of the goods... Somehow the guys got stuck in a deep, and not the best post-Soviet period...
Beautiful surroundings, proven product.
Quite often I buy products made of genuine leather and fur here, as well as various stationery. The product range is impressive, the quality is at a decent level. The staff is qualified. I recommend a visit.
Summer cafe, entrance from the street. We bought Kobrin ice cream by weight, it's just terrible! It is bitter, greasy and everything is dotted with pieces of stale strange curd mass. Before that, I bought it at the Stolitsa shopping center, it was very tasty, of excellent quality. They wanted to return it back, the seller said that it was fresh, it was just such a batch! What a party!!! GUM, the center of Minsk is a good advertisement, you can't say anything!!!
A fairly cozy department store with Soviet aesthetics, but as for the shops, there is a small selection, you can only buy a small souvenir, there is nothing interesting (
This is certainly not the Moscow GUM))) you will not find branded boutiques there. It resembles a Soviet-era store with different departments and different goods, from mugs to ties
My favorite store in Minsk. You can buy everything here, and it's of excellent quality and it's the goods that were made in Belarus that are important to me. Thanks a lot

Many will disagree with such a high assessment of this place, but many years of personal experience of visiting does not allow you to put it lower. A cool room, the Stalinist Empire style is present. Horse prices for Belarusian-made goods and cheaper Chinese counterparts too. There is a loyalty and discount program with a plastic card, which must be issued in a separate room inside the store. Often impressive discounts, buying something there without them is most likely an overpayment of 20-30 percent. There is a cafeteria, a restroom, a couple of ATMs, an exchange office with a very inconvenient break schedule. A lot of junk, a lot of household goods with a margin, but really, you can't find a more versatile store in the city center.
A good store, a normal assortment and regular discounts. Always polite sellers. I have a special love for him because they make milkshakes in the cafeteria on the second floor, just like when I was a kid.
A great big and beautiful department store where you can buy everything you need. A large assortment and friendly service. We advise everyone who comes to Minsk to take a look)
We were advised by the Central Department Store there are a lot of discounts and Belarusian products. I don't know what happened there, but when we went in there, there was a terrible smell of shit, the sewer must have burst. It was not possible to be there. We didn't have much time, we ran quickly, the store itself was not located, somehow it was not comfortable in it. It looks like cheap Planet type stores. The building is old and outwardly interesting.
A certain spirit of the Soviet era definitely lives here. Blessed calm, silence, measured movement of potential buyers. The atmosphere of prosperity and joy of new purchases.
The historical building, the architecture is very impressive, everything is on the level inside, anyone who likes this atmosphere will definitely come in. 4 stars because everything is expensive, even at significant discounts.
It is difficult to name a department store, it is rather an architectural monument of the Stalinist building in Minsk. They sell branded Dream cake here. After going deeper, you can stock up in the Eurolpt store. There's a lot of stuff there.
And in general, this is a cult meeting place
Nothing interesting. The building is very beautiful. But the inside is so-so. I expected more. The prices are very high, the assortment is like everywhere else
A paradise for shopaholics, I dressed my child for school, myself and my husband. But be careful, the prices here are discounted, more often the same, but without discounts in other stores. Let's say MF without discounts in the MF store for a similar set turned out to be 2 rubles. RB is more expensive.
I love discounts in GUM)). Good quality of things. I really like the staff - the sellers are always in shape, neat, polite, unobtrusive. Most modern commercial stores lack this.
The most bizarre use of retail space in the city center. The flawed belch of Soviet trade. I'm ashamed of the city. The staff working on the principle of "there are many of you, but I am alone" is a strange assortment. If it were not for the certificates distributed among state employees and the location would be completely empty.
Disgusting, sad and not at all what KOBRIN ICE CREAM should be. Frozen, with cream pellets, which, although small, resemble lumps in semolina porridge. A week ago I ate in Brest, and yesterday 02.07 I fell for the big GUM sign, tried it and threw it in the trash. Maybe somewhere in Minsk there are normal points with Kobrin soft ice cream, but not here for sure.
As long as I remember Gum, they always bought something there at school. Now I will prepare my child for school, I have been there recently and a lot of things have changed! After the repair, everything looks very nice, neat and clear. Thank you for changing. I bought a suit for the child + I was given a coupon receipt. Next time I will come to buy the goods of the concentration camp!
It feels like you're in a palace. In my opinion, this is the palace.
But then you meet familiar goods for a Russian price tag, but the clothes are made in Turkey. The center is quite convenient, you can have tea on the second floor. The sellers are friendly. On the ground floor, the shelves are littered with dishes, thermoses, various cutting boards, etc. I liked. The metro is in my opinion a 5-minute walk away. I, who am not a resident of Belarus, liked it.
Everything is quite simple and clear
The only department worth visiting is on the 1st floor. This is a huge department of Belarusian creams, shampoos, etc. The choice is great. Inexpensive. Otherwise, I didn't like GUM. Crazy prices for clothes.
