I stayed at this hotel for 10 days last October. For two stars and in an old house it is very, very good. The hotel specializes in receiving Russian tourists, but I have seen guests from other countries and the French there. The staff is attentive, sincere, some speak Russian well. My room was small but cozy, the bed was comfortable, the modern bathroom was clean, generally well cleaned every day. There were no bedbugs and other unpleasant things. On the Rue Faubourg Saint-Denis, life was in full swing during the day, it was quiet at night. I had a small refrigerator in my room. The elevator is too narrow, which is normal for an old foundation. I really remember the lovely little restaurant downstairs, where breakfast was served, stylish and cozy. He created a "Parisian" mood in the morning. There were enough breakfast items, all of good quality. Coffee and milk were served in separate jugs, which is very convenient. Russian-speaking waitresses added coffee on request. The location of the hotel is very good, in the historical part, close to the metro station, train station. There are several cafes, bakeries, grocery stores, and a Monopri grocery supermarket around. The choice of products is not very large, I took the subway to Auchan. A young Russian couple of guests were very pleased with their stay and shared their impressions with me. From here you can walk to many interesting places. The hotel is not for those who want six-star comfort by paying for two, but it is very good. As for the noisy Africans in the area, you'll find them everywhere there. They didn't interfere with anything in the hotel area.
Everything in this hotel is fine. The room is small, but you can live. They are cleaned every day. Linen and towels are changed every day. Breakfast is decent for Europe. The Russian-speaking polite staff. but! All the advantages are crossed out by BEDBUGS! Real bedbugs that I've only heard of before. My husband was bitten so much that even two weeks later, the bite marks are still visible. Of course, I think they struggle with it somehow, but there are bedbugs and there are a lot of them!
The staff is very cheerful and hospitable! They speak Russian, you come as if you were at home. On the upper floors, the view is excellent, very close to the metro station. The price-quality ratio is very high! The only thing is, do not take breakfast. They only serve baguettes, and opposite there is a beautiful bakery.
A good hotel. It's very decent for 2 stars. The room has everything you need, including a hair dryer, an electric kettle, cups, shampoo, soap. The staff speaks English and Russian.
