My favorite mosque! A place of prayer, as it used to be an Orthodox church. Women on the left, men in the center, no one swears, everyone is friendly. A very strong emotional mosque. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart!

This is amazing! Be sure to take the full ticket: mosque + museum visit. The museum is incredible, interactive, telling the whole story of the mosque.

A mosque with a rich history. At the entrance, you can also take a ticket to the Hagia Sophia Museum, which is located next to the Blue Mosque on the square. You do not need to take off your shoes, but tourists are not allowed to go to the first floor where carpets are.

be sure to go, the ancient mosaics of the Byzantine era, the beginning of the beginnings of Constantinople, I recommend starting with the museum, and then to the mosque, so much will be clear, either read what to see and where, well, or with a guide. The ticket is not a cheap 50E... but believe me, it's worth it!

It's a very beautiful mosque But unfortunately, the interior requires a lot of renovation ... scuffed walls, dirty handrails and stairs ... a lot of dust and cobwebs.. At least if you charge € 30 for admission, then please put the mosque in order. According to confirmed and well-known information, the ticket offices receive 45,000euros per season , is it impossible to reconstruct in such a time?

There are a lot of people standing in a decent queue! A monument of Byzantine culture, an interesting tour in principle, and we learned a lot of interesting things. The mosaics of Jesus and the Mother of God have been preserved, although there are damaged ones, but all the faces are intact!

I liked the scale of the largest Orthodox church, which was converted (posters with Islamic texts were hung) into a mosque. There are faces of saints here and there. It soothes and fills with inner light.

I recommend it to anyone who loves history. It would be strange to visit the City and not visit an attraction of this level. So if you have come not only to mess around, but also to touch a little history, then you are here.

a beautiful mosque combining elements of the Byzantine Empire and elements of a Muslim mosque. A wonderful world and historical monument, truly legendary. The museum is also striking (a truly spectacular story about historical events related to the mosque), the entrance to which is attached when buying a pass to the mosque itself

Very beautiful! There are hellish queues in the morning, and at 15-17 the crowd is falling. The ticket price is $ 30 + $25 museum. If you don't take a guide, then it's better to take a museum, it's more like a video museum about the history of this temple-micheti. It is better to go to the museum first, and then to inspect the Hagia Sophia. Tickets near the mosque, museum in the branch near the Egyptian obelisk.

It is a beautiful historical place, but the entrance fee of 2,500 lire does not allow you to visit it every time you arrive. Even if you have someone((. It's great that the colors have been updated inside and the fabrics have been removed from the medallions with inscriptions.

It was not possible to visit this Temple for the first time, there was no time to stand in line. But this time it worked, and I'm very happy. A tip during the tourist season is to buy tickets only through a guide, then you won't have to stand in line))) you will definitely like it, because the history of this Temple is incredible....

Hagia Sophia left a strong impression. The scale, the architecture, the zeitgeist — you can feel it all at once. Her current status is close to me, and her story is impressive. Being in Turkey and not coming here is a strange decision. It's one thing to read about her, it's another to stand next to her, hear, see, feel.

It's amazing!!!! after the cathedral, I advise you to go to the Hagia Sophia Museum, the entrance is opposite the German fountain at the hippodrome. A unique place of its kind , striking to the depths of the soul . Yes , it 's expensive !!!!! But it's worth it, the fantastic story of the temple and then the mosque.... Through the ages …

It's just a delight, for lovers of objects with a long history, it's a must-visit, the scale of construction is simply impressive! A huge vault! The place is really sacred, although lost to Christians, some of the frescoes were opened to tourists

The world-famous St. Sophia. In ancient times, it was a Christian temple, and now it is a functioning mosque and museum. Every tourist who visits Istanbul dreams of visiting there. St. Sophia is located in the center of old Istanbul and is well visible from the central square with dancing fountains. Behind him is the equally famous Blue Mosque. It is also worth visiting (especially after the recent restoration). As a rule, during the high tourist season, there is a long queue for St. Sophia, but it moves quickly and after some 30 minutes you will enjoy the beauty and scope of the structure. The only drawback of waiting in line is the scorching sun (the queue runs through an open area). Therefore, be sure to stock up on umbrellas, so as not to get sunstroke. As a rule, you can take a free umbrella at the exit of the hotels, if you do not have your own. So don't be afraid of queues and enjoy the beauty of Istanbul at any time of the year

The entrance to the museum is expensive, but worth a visit. The mosque itself is gorgeous, the history is in every centimeter, I did not like the museum: it is small, the tour is for fifth graders, but there are interesting exhibits of ancient Kapan, ancient icons. It is convenient that there is an audio guide in both the mosque and the museum.

There's no point in coming here. Take a look at the video review of this mosque. If you want to see a beautiful mosque for free, go to the Chamlija Mosque. There is almost no one there, but it is very beautiful and free. In Hagia Sophia, the entrance fee is 25 euros, you can only go to the second floor, walk and leave the mosque. I'm sorry for the money for that.

I thought, "Why not look at Hagia Sophia." And he looked. Back then, you could still fly anywhere, covid had weakened, there were no sanctions, and tickets to Istanbul from Moscow were cheaper than to Chelyabinsk. Cool building, of course, monumental! It's amazing what a Christian and Muslim home used to contain at different times. It's a pity they weren't allowed on the second floor)

You get into it and it takes your breath away from the beauty and majesty!!!! The spirit of Sultans and sultans reigns there!!!! Under the competent story of the guide, you just get into these times!!!! We were in November 2024, to my great regret, the 1st floor of the mosque is closed directly to the passage, its beauty can only be viewed from the balconies of the second floor! The frescoes of the icons are very well preserved, the faces of the saints are energizing! But, big but!!!!! The price this year is just incredibly high - 1,690 litas for one!!!!

Entrance is paid. There is a ticket for only this one mosque, there is a little more expensive, but to several locations and with an audio guide. They check at the ticket offices next to the entrance to the mosque. There are cashiers who can explain it quite well in Russian. There was no queue just before the opening. I don't remember the time. But the queues are moving fast. The males are not allowed in the mosque, go straight upstairs to the balconies. From there, you can see a little below. There are signs with explanations, we translated with an online translator. It's a nice translation, but mostly understandable. I recommend it at any time of the year.

Well, there are no words for that. Do not regret how much it costs to enter there now, you will be delighted) If you are a practicing Muslim, tell them that you are going to prayer, then you will not have to pay for admission) but they check it in a peculiar way, they will ask you to read the surah or show a skullcap)

Non-Muslims are not allowed on the first floor, only on the second, so the entrance is 25 euros, too much, this is the heritage of Christians and not Muslims, not only that they converted it into a mosque, they also treat it with disdain, it is mandatory to take handkerchiefs with you

Istanbul - love in everything!!! All the sights are worth a look. To Hagia Sophia, in order not to stand in long queues, you can get separate tickets from the barker guys. They have a transfer to a Russian bank card. Many people speak Russian. The guide is Russian and tells an interesting story.

It's beautiful, oriental, but there's nothing to look at for a total of 50 euros per person. A 10-minute leisurely walk, a few photos and for all this about 200 euros for four people. I went there just to "be"😀, of course I won't go any more

The Hagia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul is a unique architectural structure that impresses with its beauty and grandeur. Built in the sixth century, it was for a long time the main temple of the Byzantine Empire, and then became the mosque of the Ottoman Empire.Today, the mosque is open to both Muslims and tourists. Admission is free, but certain rules must be followed: clothes must be closed, and shoes are left at the entrance.Inside the mosque you can see magnificent mosaics, frescoes and stained glass windows that have survived to the present day. Especially impressive is the huge dome, which seems weightless and floating in the air.The Hagia Sophia Mosque is not just a religious building, it is a symbol of Istanbul's cultural and historical heritage. Visiting this mosque leaves an indelible impression and allows you to better understand the history and culture of Turkey.

It's difficult to add a review, because it's very expensive to go inside. 25 euros, i.e. 50 euros for two. The queue at the entrance is decent, mostly from foreigners. The outside is covered with scaffolding in places. If I hadn't known his name, I probably would have just walked by without paying attention.

A dream has come true, the great history of Orthodox Christianity has been touched by a small hint: tickets for 2 parts are offered at the ticket offices of Hagia Sophia - the museum and the second floor of the cathedral. The museum is 5 minutes from the cathedral. In the cathedral itself, only the second floor is allowed, only Muslims can enter the first floor.

The Church of St. Sophia, converted by the Turks into a mosque, impresses with its grandeur and beauty. It is a pity that the temple has become a mosque, because of this its decoration has suffered. It's like a bazaar - you can buy a shawl or a pashmina to cover your head and shoulders.

Two queues form on the approach to the entrance, the right one to the ticket office, the left one to go inside. A Russian tourist needs to be very careful! At the checkout, they are trying to "quietly" sell visits not only to the existing mosque, but also to the museum, which is located somewhere in another building within walking distance. It is necessary to specify where you want to go. And, of course, a mandatory visit as one of the cradles of Orthodoxy.
