Hello everyone, I will now describe the unpleasant situation that happened to me in this bank, and I will give you the conclusions to draw.
The first time I came to Kazakhstan on my own business, to work in a restaurant, I needed to change dollars. I went to halyk bank, took a tolonchik, went to the cashier, handed over $ 100 and said do you need a passport? They answer, yes. I take out the passport of the Russian Federation and the passport of the Russian Federation, I ask which one to give you? In response, they tell me that they will not change the money, at first I was taken aback and asked how it was? I was told that the government has forbidden Russians to change money. I thought maybe I didn't understand something and, being surprised, decided to find a supervisor, a cute girl with a supervisor's badge was sitting at the end of the hall in the right corner. I described the situation to her and told her how this is possible, especially since it is beneficial for the bank... she replied with a sweet smile that the government had forbidden Russians and Belarusians to change money in the bank, which shocked me!
But since I needed to change the money, I went up to a young man standing in line, explained the situation and asked him to change $ 100 to tenge for me, he agreed to help, thank him very much, but when his turn came, he handed over $ 100 and his document, it looked like a plastic card, he was answered that he is trying to change money for the Russians and they will not do it. He turned to me and said, let me take you to a private exchanger, they will change you there, once again I express my gratitude to him. I looked at where the exchanger was located, turned out to be not far away and in order not to strain it, I went on foot, where they changed $ 100 to tenge without any problems.
The situation occurred on 08/21/2023.
You can draw conclusions, but I am very uncomfortable with how Kazakhstan met me, of course I did not expect this and was very surprised!
