A very interesting building, perfectly integrated into the space. Huge, comfortable inside. There is a museum dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, an exhibition of gifts from presidents, including ours. A collection of cars, folk instruments, carpets, and models of significant buildings are presented.… You can't list everything. A wonderful exhibition of handmade dolls. We were stuck for 3 hours, if not more. We could have spent the whole day, but we decided that it would be better to come back again. The entrance fee is 15 manat, which is 750 re. Tolerable))
And yes, I agree that there is not enough information in Russian, although you can take an audio guide. I remembered the words of Muslim Magomayev: "Azerbaijan is my father. Russia is my mother"
And I would like to talk to my mother in Russian))
And Baku is beautiful and the people are wonderful, we are charmed, and we wish you the same! ☀️🫶🏻
Everything is great - the location, architecture and design, exhibitions and expositions, adequate cost. There is also a separate exhibition of cars (from retro to modern).
Russian Russian is a nuance, however - despite the fact that all employees understand and speak Russian, there is not a single signboard, description, text, signs, signs, etc. in Russian. Given the political and international importance of this building/exposition, as well as the more than 200-hundred-year history of relations between our countries, I believe that the text in Russian would not infringe on anyone in any way.…
Required to visit. The spaciousness, modern and futuristic design, and stylistics of modern centers in the world are perfectly adapted to the breadth of Azerbaijan's soul. Concise and targeted expositions, huge white spaces, a sense of the future.
And the obligatory program: an exposition about Geylar Aliyev, about the tragic events in Karabakh with historical documents. This is a kind of fueling of national self-awareness and resentment against the Soviet government and bad neighbors: Armenia and Russia. Not directly, but as a confession, somewhat surreptitiously. But this is the trend of all such museums, to kick the Soviet Union, to get historical grievances and new symbols.
In a word, you need to see with your own eyes and draw your own conclusions.
It's a very impressive place, you can spend the whole day! And, what is very pleasant, there is free Wi-Fi on the territory of the center (as in many places in Baku). There are many expositions, various exhibitions, and interesting locations. Nice staff, they'll tell you everything. We will be happy to come back again.
One of the best and must-visit places. It's very beautiful outside, and the photo shoots are going great. And inside there is a very interesting and large space. Friendly staff, security inspires confidence. There is a cafe. Comfortable toilets. We really enjoyed it, be sure to visit!
It is a beautiful, aesthetic and harmonious modern complex. The building itself as a work of art is an interesting design. The complex houses several exhibitions: cars, carpets, dolls, models of Baku buildings, the story of Aliyev's life, an art gallery, etc. There is a cafe with drinks and desserts. The place is definitely top 3 in Baku, a must-visit!
A beautiful place both outside and inside. There are a large number of interesting sculptures, various exhibitions are held inside and mini replicas of the sights and significant buildings of the city are presented.
I recommend definitely taking a walk around the center, and if the weather is rainy, go inside.
The place is mandatory to visit
Firstly, it is an architectural masterpiece, both the building itself and the park area nearby
Secondly, there are a lot of sculptures nearby and you can't get up to the most
Thirdly, there are always amazing exhibitions and an excellent interior inside
It's like HPP 2 but 10 years older
It is maintained and operated with great care
Alas, not all the exhibitions inside are amazing, but in general the quality of the exposition is very high.
It's a great place and it has great content
Alas, the cafe inside is a stupid sadness
A must-visit, a few hours fly by very quickly.
There are layouts of the city's attractions, you can determine for yourself what you want to visit on the spot.
You can find the history of the country, musical instruments and an exhibition of carpets, modern art and, most of all, really impressive dolls.
A modern space with a good museum. If you want to immerse yourself in the history of the country and the development of Baku, learn the subtleties of culture and economy, be sure to visit the Heydar Aliyev Center. There are also various museum collections: cars, dolls, weapons, paintings, carpets. Feel free to plan a whole day for a visit.
The posh center
We took a guide and watched the expositions for three hours
I especially liked the scope and spaciousness
An exhibition of national costumes, instruments and an exhibition of dolls
There is a separate room with carpets. Be sure to visit
Fundamental building, lots of exhibition space. We visited the exhibitions: the origins of Azerbaijan, musical instruments, dolls of the world, carpets, vintage cars, modern art objects.
A wonderful cultural center, there is something to see, as many as 6 floors, you can walk all day. It is especially interesting to look at the most significant buildings of Azerbaijan, the floor with dolls, and the floor with national costumes. I recommend it to everyone to visit
It's a great place. The combination of ancient artifacts and ultramodern is amazing. The exposition of musical instruments with interactive sound made a special impression. I recommend.
A must-visit! Starting with the futuristic exterior design of the building itself, the interior expositions and exhibitions are very interesting! We got a lot of impressions, here is the biography of Heydar Aliyev, the history of Azerbaijan, national costumes, musical instruments, and modern art!!!
A huge museum, a very unusual building both outside and inside! I've never seen anything like it before. The museum has several locations with different exhibitions: dolls of different masters, musical instruments of some countries and national ones, costumes from different regions of Azerbaijan, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures of modern art. We were very pleased with the interactive zones of musical instruments, as well as the collection of dolls and, of course, Azerbaijani carpets are a separate kind of art. It is a pity that there is no description in Russian, which makes it difficult to visit independently (without a guide). On the ground floor there are models of some buildings in Azerbaijan, in this area there is a description in Russian on monitors near each layout - thanks a lot for this) Must-visit 100%!
Admission is 15 manats per person, there is no division into adults and children (only up to 6 years old seems to be free).
Just an amazing architectural masterpiece! There are interesting interactive exhibitions inside. And when you go out in the evening, the most beautiful panorama of Baku opens in front of you! Every tourist must visit this center!
A large-scale beautiful building from the outside, interesting content inside, it's better to be with a guide, he will tell you a lot, amazing wide , long and curved stairs
Stunning avant-garde architecture and interiors by the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects bureau. The exhibitions are good for both ethnographic and contemporary art. The tickets aren't cheap, but it's worth it.
The Heydar Aliyev National Center in Baku is not just a building, it is a spaceship of the future that accidentally landed in Azerbaijan and decided to stay.
The project of the bureau of the legendary Zaha Hadid — and you feel it from the first step. When you go inside, it feels like you've landed on another planet, where everything is soft, smooth, and beautiful to the point of disorientation. Lines are like waves. The colors seem to be specially chosen to make you feel good, even if you don't like architecture at all.
Zaha Hadid became the first woman to receive the Pritzker Prize (the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in architecture), and the Heydar Aliyev Center is one of her most recognizable and "fluid" projects: there is not a single right angle in the facade. Everything flows, everything moves — and you are inside, as in a living organism.
If you believe in architectural reincarnation, then this center is proof that buildings can be not just buildings, but emotions. And this emotion is pure delight.
Not so long ago, I visited the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center and was impressed by its architecture.
The building impresses with its design both outside and inside, creating a unique atmosphere.
The exhibitions at the center are diverse, but I especially remember the exhibition of dolls, which stood out for its approach and skill.
Unfortunately, the meeting with the staff left much to be desired: the girl at the checkout and the service in the coffee shop inside could have been more welcoming.
Nevertheless, in general, the visit left a pleasant impression.
I especially recommend visiting the center at sunset, when the building is illuminated by the evening sun and looks even more impressive.
A great place: outside and inside. If you do not take into account the background (in honor of whom it was built), then the design is my respect. Zaha Hadid's hand is felt everywhere. Beautiful, exquisite and delicious. It is worth seeing this museum just for the sake of architecture. The content - there are questions here. The entrance, turnstiles and the first thing you meet in the museum itself is the back of the angel sculpture. I'm sorry, who is so smart to put sculptures like that? :)) Inside, everything is arranged by floors. Each floor has its own cultural feature: music, carpets, architecture, etc. Considering that the museum is also bioplastic inside, not all passages will lead you to new halls, sometimes it is a dead end passage or not decorated rooms. Finding toilets is a whole quest. If you find it difficult to find a male one, congratulations, now look for a female one. As for the expositions themselves, everything is very good, interesting and informative. A squeeze of all the museums of Baku in one place. There is not enough interactivity, everything is very showy, but it is done with polish. The children liked the museum - it was doubly pleased, usually going to the museum is a torment))) The very design of the halls inside encourages the game, very beautiful photos are obtained. So, I strongly recommend you to visit. / and then ask the locals how they feel about the museum/
Incredible architecture, I come here again, and I can't get enough of it. Always relevant exhibitions, a must-visit. The pearl of the city, there is a place to walk and feel the vastness.
The real highlight of Azerbaijan can be considered the Heydar Aliyev Center. Unusual architecture, space-shaped buildings created by architect Zaha Hadid. It's just beautiful, both inside and out!!! There are many exhibitions in the cultural center - the right wing highlights the life of Heydar Aliyev himself; the left wing is an exhibition of retro cars, an insert of dolls, an exhibition of musical instruments, etc. A great recreation area . I definitely recommend you to visit 👍👍
An amazing and impressive building by the brilliant architect Zaha Hadid. It is located on a hill, the area around is landscaped, and offers a beautiful view of the city. The interior architecture is no less impressive than the exterior. There are a lot of different expositions in the center, both permanent and replaceable. The expositions of traditional musical instruments and carpets, as well as an exhibition of dolls, were very interesting. There is a cafe and a lobby on the ground floor.
Beauty! Very spacious, bright! Interesting expositions .
I like the idea of the flag of Azerbaijan in the form of flying scarves.
And what handmade dolls are there!! You'll be rocking
The power of the fuse went into the swing. And the avant-garde design of the building is very modestly used in relation to the squares of the center. Undoubtedly, the significant figure of G.Aliyev in the history of the USSR is worthily represented in the center of his name. In this regard, a logical question arises:why is the information about him in the interactive zone (and not only) presented only in Turkish and English? Does not the life of G. Aliyev deserve to be presented in Russian, which he spoke perfectly and was connected with.
The center is great. Comrade's gifts are very revealing. To Aliyev from the statesmen of the world. Presents were presented by the presidents of the Russian Federation, heads of regions of the Russian Federation, Foreign ministers... I'm proud.
One of my favorite places in Baku. The building was designed by Zaha Hadith, and the architectural forms are impressive. There is a park nearby, where it is very pleasant to walk.
Interesting and very beautiful architecture.
We can go for a walk and watch. I liked the carpet exhibition.
Of the cons:
1. Non-interactive in Russian.
2. Inflated ticket price for Baku guests
The center itself is amazing in its architecture, there are practically no straight lines here. Mostly exhibitions and lectures are held here. Admission costs 15 manats for foreigners, with this ticket you can visit all exhibitions except cars, you will need to buy an additional ticket of 10 manats. The center is open from 11:00 to 19:00, on weekends until 18:00. Monday is a day off.
The Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku. By far the most beautiful and interesting building both externally and in terms of content. Lay down at least 3 hours to carefully examine everything and go everywhere. Don't spare the money. An exhibition of retro cars is taking place in the basement. Be sure to look here. The ticket here is separate. There are about 60 cars on display. Very cool, be sure to come here. As for the permanent exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Center, it is also worthy of your attention. Many halls are dedicated to the history of Azerbaijan. Of course, we were impressed by the halls with musical instruments and dolls. There is also a hall with carpets. There were temporary exhibitions of Uzbek culture. And a lot more. Just come and see everything with your own eyes. Of course, there is a hall dedicated to Heydar Aliyev and his life path. The center will not leave you indifferent.
I had an aesthetic orgasm at the Heydar Aliyev Center. This is an authentic masterpiece from the legendary architect Zaha Hadid (the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Prize)👏
The building bends bizarrely and changes its appearance depending on the angle. In 2014, it was awarded the Design of the Year award.
The interior is even more striking. The building seems to hover above you. Stairs are especially impressive. When you look at the central staircase from above, the light steals the steps (I don't even know how to describe it reliably). Just blow your head off🔥
There are several expositions inside. The part is naturally about the path of Heydar Aliyev himself, in particular his cars.
A little bit of modern art (for some reason). I liked the exhibition of dolls and the hall with the national instruments of Azerbaijan.
Among other things, an exposition of classic cars is located in the Heydar Aliyev Center on the minus third floor of the parking lot (you need to take a ticket separately).
Alas, this is not the best exhibition hall — it's stuffy and dark (as you know, they don't make windows in the parking lot), but I had to put up with it. Now let's move on to the pros. Each car stands separately in its place, and you can get very close to it from any side, there are no fences. Good lighting of the exhibits. There is a sign with information in Azerbaijani and English next to it, and there is a QR code in the corner, clicking on which you can see Russian.
Wonderful photographs were used to decorate the exhibition, among which there are famous works, but photos from Baku's past turned out to be especially interesting.
In the exhibition hall you can see dozens of magnificent cars in excellent condition. Here are masterpieces from the Porsche family and Harley Earl.
Among the exhibits you can find various models of Rolls-Royces, Jaguars, Mercedes and BMW. The legendary "Mustang", "Charger" and "Corvette" are also presented here.
Soviet cars are not forgotten either: "Volga", "Moskvichi", "Pobedy", "Chaika", "Zhiguli" and "Emki".
There is a Bugatti Veyron for delivery - the fastest production car of the early noughties.
In my opinion, the most interesting exhibit is the Mercedes 300 SL Flügelturen, known as the "Seagull Wing". He's just beautiful!
The center is very beautiful from the outside, impressive in size, well-maintained territory, good air conditioning inside, spacious and beautiful. You can walk for a long time and look at the expositions and the center itself.
The main disadvantage for me is the lack of description and selection of audio prompts in Russian, it is not clear why they were too lazy to do this.
An unusually beautiful place to explore the culture and history of Azerbaijan! The unusual architecture with no corners and unusual exhibits are a bit dizzying. 🤭
The futuristic architecture of the building is fascinating. But the content inside is weak - there are only two non-interesting expositions, while the prices of visits for non-residents are high. But most importantly, it is sooo difficult to find a toilet for an ordinary tourist, there are no signs. Somewhere in the inner parking area, we managed to use it. At the same time, you need to take the elevator, which quickly closes the doors, hitting the visitors very painfully. Not everyone was able to connect WiFi.
A very beautiful building, in my opinion one of the symbols of Baku and definitely on the must-visit list. Inside there is a museum (entrance 15 manat) and an exhibition of retro cars 10 manat. The museum has a little bit of content, but retro cars are a delight. It's a pity that you can't touch it)
It is necessary to visit... but not because it is an interesting museum. A beautiful futuristic building with visual effects outside and inside. There is practically no content. The part dedicated to G.Aliyev is a demonstration of modern museum technologies. And that's all... it doesn't arouse much interest, like any ideological enterprise. The part dedicated to Azerbaijan is meaningless pieces of history, culture, and art. The car exhibition is probably of interest to car lovers... no more. The rest of the exhibition space is a demonstration of what you can thoughtlessly spend "oil" money on. And yet - a traveler should see this place
Very cool. At first I didn't want to go, but then I went in anyway. I hung up for about three hours. Very interesting expositions. Each one has something to see. I especially liked the exposition of musical instruments. I highly recommend you to visit.
A very beautiful building designed by Zaha Hadid. The center itself is dedicated to the life and professional activities of Heydar Aliyev. Also, on the upper floors of the center, there are several halls with exhibits of an ethnographic orientation. In general, the center is worth a visit.
A masterpiece of architecture! The shape, color, and filling of the exhibits is a shock!! I recommend everyone to visit! The best place to visit!! The third floor is dedicated to dolls. A lot of beautiful dolls came from Russia. On the second floor there are national instruments and clothes. The first one has an exhibition of paintings, retro cars, etc.
I really liked the space of the complex. Everything is so airy and flying. Excellent exhibitions were held in December. I recommend that you definitely visit Baku.
We had a wonderful time in the Center of the City of Aliyev. We are delighted with the architecture of the complex and the exhibits. Unfortunately, there is little information in Russian.
It's great that the whole history of the country has been gathered in one place and you don't have to go to different museums in different parts of the city. Themed halls about the history of clothing, musical instruments, Carpets, etc. Must have for a visit, you will like it. I ran through the entire building in 1.5 hours before departure. And by the way, the very shape of the center's building is made in the form of G.Aliyev's signature
Interesting shapes and contents, everyone will find something to their taste, the doll museum is a must!
The toilets are located amusingly male and female on different floors, but in sufficient numbers.
The cafe was sparse, they could only make drinks and give desserts to them. We were on Saturday afternoon, why didn't we understand such restrictions. The prices in the cafe are above average.
The price for visiting is expensive in my opinion. It is a small national cultural center with exhibitions of carpets, dolls, models of historical buildings and much more. Most of all, I liked the interactive room at the exposition of folk instruments, where you can listen to the wonderful performance of national music with authentic male and female vocals, beautiful singing like the sky and mountains of Azerbaijan
