A huge museum, a very unusual building both outside and inside! I've never seen anything like it before. The museum has several locations with different exhibitions: dolls of different masters, musical instruments of some countries and national ones, costumes from different regions of Azerbaijan, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures of modern art. We were very pleased with the interactive zones of musical instruments, as well as the collection of dolls and, of course, Azerbaijani carpets are a separate kind of art. It is a pity that there is no description in Russian, which makes it difficult to visit independently (without a guide). On the ground floor there are models of some buildings in Azerbaijan, in this area there is a description in Russian on monitors near each layout - thanks a lot for this) Must-visit 100%!
Admission is 15 manats per person, there is no division into adults and children (only up to 6 years old seems to be free).
A great place: outside and inside. If you do not take into account the background (in honor of whom it was built), then the design is my respect. Zaha Hadid's hand is felt everywhere. Beautiful, exquisite and delicious. It is worth seeing this museum just for the sake of architecture. The content - there are questions here. The entrance, turnstiles and the first thing you meet in the museum itself is the back of the angel sculpture. I'm sorry, who is so smart to put sculptures like that? :)) Inside, everything is arranged by floors. Each floor has its own cultural feature: music, carpets, architecture, etc. Considering that the museum is also bioplastic inside, not all passages will lead you to new halls, sometimes it is a dead end passage or not decorated rooms. Finding toilets is a whole quest. If you find it difficult to find a male one, congratulations, now look for a female one. As for the expositions themselves, everything is very good, interesting and informative. A squeeze of all the museums of Baku in one place. There is not enough interactivity, everything is very showy, but it is done with polish. The children liked the museum - it was doubly pleased, usually going to the museum is a torment))) The very design of the halls inside encourages the game, very beautiful photos are obtained. So, I strongly recommend you to visit. / and then ask the locals how they feel about the museum/
The place is mandatory to visit
Firstly, it is an architectural masterpiece, both the building itself and the park area nearby
Secondly, there are a lot of sculptures nearby and you can't get up to the most
Thirdly, there are always amazing exhibitions and an excellent interior inside
It's like HPP 2 but 10 years older
It is maintained and operated with great care
Alas, not all the exhibitions inside are amazing, but in general the quality of the exposition is very high.
It's a great place and it has great content
Alas, the cafe inside is a stupid sadness
The center is very beautiful from the outside, impressive in size, well-maintained territory, good air conditioning inside, spacious and beautiful. You can walk for a long time and look at the expositions and the center itself.
The main disadvantage for me is the lack of description and selection of audio prompts in Russian, it is not clear why they were too lazy to do this.
It's beautiful outside, great design solution inside, lots of space. But I was not impressed inside. If you are not awfully fond of art, historical clothes and carpets, then I do not recommend visiting it inside. In 2024, a ticket for one adult is 15 manats, of all the interesting things are flying fabrics and retro cars. Everything ) there are no translations into Russian yet, it just pissed me off, since their technology allowed them to do this. There is a Russian translation only in the Baku layout hall.
The price for visiting is expensive in my opinion. It is a small national cultural center with exhibitions of carpets, dolls, models of historical buildings and much more. Most of all, I liked the interactive room at the exposition of folk instruments, where you can listen to the wonderful performance of national music with authentic male and female vocals, beautiful singing like the sky and mountains of Azerbaijan
Not so long ago, I visited the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center and was impressed by its architecture.
The building impresses with its design both outside and inside, creating a unique atmosphere.
The exhibitions at the center are diverse, but I especially remember the exhibition of dolls, which stood out for its approach and skill.
Unfortunately, the meeting with the staff left much to be desired: the girl at the checkout and the service in the coffee shop inside could have been more welcoming.
Nevertheless, in general, the visit left a pleasant impression.
I especially recommend visiting the center at sunset, when the building is illuminated by the evening sun and looks even more impressive.
The power of the fuse went into the swing. And the avant-garde design of the building is very modestly used in relation to the squares of the center. Undoubtedly, the significant figure of G.Aliyev in the history of the USSR is worthily represented in the center of his name. In this regard, a logical question arises:why is the information about him in the interactive zone (and not only) presented only in Turkish and English? Does not the life of G. Aliyev deserve to be presented in Russian, which he spoke perfectly and was connected with.
The center is great. Comrade's gifts are very revealing. To Aliyev from the statesmen of the world. Presents were presented by the presidents of the Russian Federation, heads of regions of the Russian Federation, Foreign ministers... I'm proud.
I liked it very much. I believe that a trip to Baku should start from this place. Carpets are better to see here (the carpet museum is resting). The doll exhibition is amazing (I've never seen anything like it anywhere). The miniatures of the city's buildings are magnificent (thanks for the description in Russian). The atmosphere is comfortable, modern, tolerant. I'll be back again. Now let me note what surprised me: there are few people from the Russian Federation among the visitors. Are you all in the old town? Take the red or green metro line and for 50 kopecks in half an hour you will be in an amazing cultural center :)
This is one of the most magnificent architectural creations. There are exhibition spaces inside. You will see different instruments and listen to how they sound, you will see different dolls (it is interesting not only for children), there is a wonderful exhibition of cars in the lower room. It's nice to drink coffee in the garden, sitting on an outlandish bench near an unusual shaped table. There is a park next to the building, it's nice to sit in summer (we were in winter). Not visiting this center in Baku means not seeing one of the most interesting places.
I had an aesthetic orgasm at the Heydar Aliyev Center. This is an authentic masterpiece from the legendary architect Zaha Hadid (the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Prize)👏
The building bends bizarrely and changes its appearance depending on the angle. In 2014, it was awarded the Design of the Year award.
The interior is even more striking. The building seems to hover above you. Stairs are especially impressive. When you look at the central staircase from above, the light steals the steps (I don't even know how to describe it reliably). Just blow your head off🔥
There are several expositions inside. The part is naturally about the path of Heydar Aliyev himself, in particular his cars.
A little bit of modern art (for some reason). I liked the exhibition of dolls and the hall with the national instruments of Azerbaijan.
Among other things, an exposition of classic cars is located in the Heydar Aliyev Center on the minus third floor of the parking lot (you need to take a ticket separately).
Alas, this is not the best exhibition hall — it's stuffy and dark (as you know, they don't make windows in the parking lot), but I had to put up with it. Now let's move on to the pros. Each car stands separately in its place, and you can get very close to it from any side, there are no fences. Good lighting of the exhibits. There is a sign with information in Azerbaijani and English next to it, and there is a QR code in the corner, clicking on which you can see Russian.
Wonderful photographs were used to decorate the exhibition, among which there are famous works, but photos from Baku's past turned out to be especially interesting.
In the exhibition hall you can see dozens of magnificent cars in excellent condition. Here are masterpieces from the Porsche family and Harley Earl.
Among the exhibits you can find various models of Rolls-Royces, Jaguars, Mercedes and BMW. The legendary "Mustang", "Charger" and "Corvette" are also presented here.
Soviet cars are not forgotten either: "Volga", "Moskvichi", "Pobedy", "Chaika", "Zhiguli" and "Emki".
There is a Bugatti Veyron for delivery - the fastest production car of the early noughties.
In my opinion, the most interesting exhibit is the Mercedes 300 SL Flügelturen, known as the "Seagull Wing". He's just beautiful!
The real highlight of Azerbaijan can be considered the Heydar Aliyev Center. Unusual architecture, space-shaped buildings created by architect Zaha Hadid. It's just beautiful, both inside and out!!! There are many exhibitions in the cultural center - the right wing highlights the life of Heydar Aliyev himself; the left wing is an exhibition of retro cars, an insert of dolls, an exhibition of musical instruments, etc. A great recreation area . I definitely recommend you to visit 👍👍
The Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku. By far the most beautiful and interesting building both externally and in terms of content. Lay down at least 3 hours to carefully examine everything and go everywhere. Don't spare the money. An exhibition of retro cars is taking place in the basement. Be sure to look here. The ticket here is separate. There are about 60 cars on display. Very cool, be sure to come here. As for the permanent exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Center, it is also worthy of your attention. Many halls are dedicated to the history of Azerbaijan. Of course, we were impressed by the halls with musical instruments and dolls. There is also a hall with carpets. There were temporary exhibitions of Uzbek culture. And a lot more. Just come and see everything with your own eyes. Of course, there is a hall dedicated to Heydar Aliyev and his life path. The center will not leave you indifferent.
It is necessary to visit... but not because it is an interesting museum. A beautiful futuristic building with visual effects outside and inside. There is practically no content. The part dedicated to G.Aliyev is a demonstration of modern museum technologies. And that's all... it doesn't arouse much interest, like any ideological enterprise. The part dedicated to Azerbaijan is meaningless pieces of history, culture, and art. The car exhibition is probably of interest to car lovers... no more. The rest of the exhibition space is a demonstration of what you can thoughtlessly spend "oil" money on. And yet - a traveler should see this place
The Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku is an outstanding architectural work designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid. The building is characterized by smooth, undulating shapes and is a symbol of modern Azerbaijan.
There are several museums and exhibition halls inside the Heydar Aliyev Center. One of the most famous museums is the Heydar Aliyev Museum, which presents the life and work of the third President of Azerbaijan. In the museum you can see personal belongings, photographs and documents related to his life.
In addition, temporary exhibitions dedicated to art, culture and science are regularly held at the Center. Exhibition halls often host works by contemporary artists, sculptors and designers, making the Center an important platform for cultural exchange and creativity.
The museum is excellent, diverse and interactive. The architecture itself and the smooth lines inside are very cozy and comfortable) There are permanent and temporary expositions, 3-4 hours can be safely laid for a visit.
And it's worth a visit!
The futuristic architecture of the building is fascinating. But the content inside is weak - there are only two non-interesting expositions, while the prices of visits for non-residents are high. But most importantly, it is sooo difficult to find a toilet for an ordinary tourist, there are no signs. Somewhere in the inner parking area, we managed to use it. At the same time, you need to take the elevator, which quickly closes the doors, hitting the visitors very painfully. Not everyone was able to connect WiFi.
It's great that the whole history of the country has been gathered in one place and you don't have to go to different museums in different parts of the city. Themed halls about the history of clothing, musical instruments, Carpets, etc. Must have for a visit, you will like it. I ran through the entire building in 1.5 hours before departure. And by the way, the very shape of the center's building is made in the form of G.Aliyev's signature
A very beautiful building designed by Zaha Hadid. The center itself is dedicated to the life and professional activities of Heydar Aliyev. Also, on the upper floors of the center, there are several halls with exhibits of an ethnographic orientation. In general, the center is worth a visit.
At the cultural center, you can get acquainted with the biography of the first president of Azerbaijan. Don't think it's boring - the exhibition is interactive and informative. Several halls are dedicated to the history and culture of Azerbaijan. We visited an exhibition of carpets, dolls, and contemporary art. Very cool architecture. For a fee, you can go to the car exhibition.
A masterpiece of architecture! The shape, color, and filling of the exhibits is a shock!! I recommend everyone to visit! The best place to visit!! The third floor is dedicated to dolls. A lot of beautiful dolls came from Russia. On the second floor there are national instruments and clothes. The first one has an exhibition of paintings, retro cars, etc.
It is a very beautiful museum. Unusual layout. There are quite a lot of exhibits. But it turns out that everything is in a bunch, without a specific topic. There is also history, archaeology, music, politics, but there is also a section of contemporary art and, for example, dolls. It is very interesting to tell the guides, I definitely advise you!
An interesting place, both inside and out. A very unusual building... and a cascade of fountains... and sculptures. And there's something to see inside...
guys, just bring your sunglasses with you (!!!). The whole complex is dazzling white. Really DAZZLING, eyes water in bright sunlight!
One of the most beautiful buildings in the world, designed by Zaha Hadid. I really like that the exposition in the Center is constantly being updated. In addition to the museum dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, you can see the works of contemporary artists and sculptors here. This place is definitely worth a visit during your stay in Baku.
Interesting shapes and contents, everyone will find something to their taste, the doll museum is a must!
The toilets are located amusingly male and female on different floors, but in sufficient numbers.
The cafe was sparse, they could only make drinks and give desserts to them. We were on Saturday afternoon, why didn't we understand such restrictions. The prices in the cafe are above average.
It is a very beautiful center. Bright attracts with its picturesque view. There are different exhibitions all the time. There is a lot of activity around the building, a place for beautiful photos, and exhibitions are also held around the building.I recommend
A must-visit.Architect Zaha Hadid.A very unusual and cosmic building, the air floats and sways against the background of the heat. You won 't regret it inside and out .The exhibition of dolls is fire! The exhibition of carpets and musical instruments - the charm and admiration of the East. This is all our native, but already an international airport.
It's a very unusual place. Beautiful architecture, large and interesting territory. Installations and exhibitions change regularly. Everything is done with taste and very thoughtful.
The amazing architecture and place, the work of the genius Zaki Hadid, the month of holding many exhibitions and cultural events, in my opinion is one of the symbols of modern Baku, I highly recommend at least to see, it is better to visit the expositions.
The super grandiose structure of modern architecture dedicated to the great son of his people, Heydar Aliyev, impresses both the exterior and interior architecture, in a word, it fascinates.I recommend you to visit without fail, it will not leave you 100% indifferent.......
We visited an exhibition of retro cars and the Heydar Aliyev Museum in the summer. We learned a lot from the life of the ex-president of Azerbaijan and his family. Many interesting folk traditions in the form of clothes and instruments were seen and even heard. In short, be sure to visit the museum.
A modern interactive space.
There are both historical expositions and modern collections.
There are many photo zones.
I especially liked the carpets of modern artists.
A modern art center, an interesting museum, each floor has its own theme. The building itself is futuristic, the area around it is large and very clean. I recommend you to visit.
I expected to see a museum dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, but this place is about the whole Azerbaijani culture. Everything is very modern, spacious and beautiful. Definitely need to visit
I really liked it! Good guides . They don 't just talk , they also answer questions . On a large square , the architecture of the building itself is very interesting . There is a large lawn near the center . It's very nice to take a walk.
Unique architecture, the pride of Baku. There are many interesting exhibitions here: folk instruments, carpets, clothes, exceptional dolls. Here you can spend half a day escaping from the sultry sun. I recommend it for a visit.
The building has amazing architecture both inside and out. There is a lot of light and air, all expositions, despite the historical meaning, are modern and stylishly decorated.
A wonderful place both inside and out. There is something to see and something to freeze from. Excellent exhibitions and exhibits. At different times of the day, you can take a look at the appearance of the building, which is superior to the one designed according to the latest word
The outside is very beautiful and impressive.
There's nothing special inside, the exhibitions are so-so, but a very cool retro car exhibition, it's worth a visit.
You can get there by metro, maybe 10 from the nearest station
A museum with unusual architecture. There is not a single corner inside. Expositions of various subjects. Well-conditioned rooms, escalators between floors. Definitely worth a visit.
The center impressed, starting from its appearance to every little thing inside. the multi-thematic interior of the blocks is amazing. it was very interesting, I recommend everyone to visit for variety and development
A wonderful space for exhibitions and concerts. Space, light, easy navigation. The building itself is magnificent both outside and inside. And
on a sunny day, the whiteness of stairs, steps, walls is even brighter and more solemn.
First of all, there is an interesting exposition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev. Very informative! The role of Personality in history!
On three floors of the Center there are exhibitions of folk instruments, carpets, dishes, and a historical excursion. Everything or almost everything about the history and culture of the country is here.
Very beautiful impressive architecture, it's definitely worth a walk and see live. But the internal expositions are on display just to somehow occupy the center) there are tools, clothes, paintings of past eras. In general, it is rather interesting
A very interesting style of the building, you can even call it one of the features of Baku. There are many miniatures of famous buildings in Baku inside, and the area dedicated to the life of Heydar Aliyev is worth noting separately. 1 star was removed only because there is a lot of empty space inside, which could be occupied by other different exhibits.
As if an alien ship had descended to earth! A stunning architectural masterpiece!!! Bravo to the master! Just a delight for the eyes. And the place is perfectly chosen.
The Heydar Aliyev Center is a delight! The architecture of Zaha Hadid, of course, falls in love with itself! You should definitely go and see this new and very bright symbol of the city
I definitely recommend you to visit. Interesting interactive exhibitions and expositions. The opportunity to download a free audio guide and listen to a lot of informative things about many subjects, history and sights of Azerbaijan, etc.
The building itself is very interesting and the design is unusual, there is not much information and exhibitions inside the center, signs in Azerbaijani and English, except for documents from the Soviet Union in Russian, navigation through the center was not completely clear.
A very beautiful building, extraordinary architecture without right angles. The white staircase is like a space portal. The exposition on Aliyev is in Azerbaijani and English. As if Azerbaijan was not a part of a large country of the USSR, how much was invested in it, how it developed during the Soviet period. Only Comrade Aliyev's certificates are in Russian.
Very interesting collections of musical instruments and dolls.
A building of cosmic scale . It feels amazing, like I've come to another time. Exhibitions for the amateur . But the center itself is impossible to compare with anything: smooth curved lines, lots of light and air. An unforgettable experience. It is necessary to visit just to see the beauty inside the center. There is a cafe: you can drink tea, coffee or wine. There are many elevators . Tune in to the fact that there is no indicative information inside. Don 't expect much from exhibitions . The main thing is the building itself .
