The main fortress of Alanya is definitely worth a visit for lovers of ancient ruins. It is very colorful, and there is a wonderful view from the observation decks. You can get to Ichkala by car or taxi, there is Parking nearby. The road up is a serpentine, colorful in itself and with a couple of observation decks. I lowered the entrance fee - it says 12 euros at the checkout (August 2024) and in small font below - payment is only in lira. We, who were used to the euro and the dollar in Turkey, were without lira, and we were immediately advised to exchange it at a nearby seller's market, where, of course, the exchange rate is 30 lira per dollar. It spoiled the mood and the impression.
Since I am a lover of everything ancient, I really liked it. The fortress is well restored, dating back to the times of the Roman Empire. The views from here are just a bomb. April 24th entrance cost 12 euros, there are plenty of places where you can walk for free up to the fortress. We got here on foot from the lower station of the cable car along the road, then the paths uphill, we decided not to spend money on the canal in 5 minutes. The ascent is not difficult, half an hour maximum, the main thing is to take water with you. There are plenty of paths, if you decide to walk, you can go safely. You can also take a taxi and a cable car.
A small fortress from the time of the Roman Empire. Beautiful views of the coast from above. You can walk or take a ride on the cable car. There is a small museum inside. In general, it is a good place to just take a walk.
