A great place, including for those with children! The city center is almost on Freedom Square. Ground floor, atmospheric photos in the interior. Georgian cuisine. Excellent khinkali, delicious Georgian salad with excellent delicious tomatoes, the whole tsimes is from them) A pleasant white wine in a jug, light and soft. Children are delighted with the chicken kebab, tender and juicy (it is also delicious for adults))) There is a huge portion of Greek salad, keep in mind) The grub is so-so (the meat is rubber, it does not chew, I would cook it for another couple of hours ... The price tag is humane. I recommend it!

A great place for a quick lunch. The food is high-quality and delicious. They cook fast enough. The price is average, even slightly below average. But disadvantages follow from the advantages - a simple interior, terrible cold light, no comfort, service flaws - there is a lot of traffic, there is not enough attention for everyone. "Khinkalnaya Velyaminov", located in the very center, on Freedom Square. Georgian cuisine is very tasty here, and the check is 30 percent lower than in other popular establishments in the area.
The service is excellent.
This is a place where you can eat very, very tasty Georgian food, and pay for it a third less than in other good authentic restaurants.
Here are the most delicious khinkali of all that we have tasted in Tbilisi.
Our order for three:
- 20 hinkals (large and juicy)
- eggplant rolls
- a large salad of fresh vegetables
- chacha 250 gr.
We ate too much and everything was insanely delicious.
It came out for 630 lari (2,300 rubles).

Russian Russian is a friendly atmosphere, the staff speaks Russian well (for Russian speakers, a special two-sided menu is completely in Russian). The prices are reasonable, they give you large portions for them, so don't order too much. Khinkali - from 10 pieces, but it is possible to take with you what you have not finished.
The receipt does not include service, but it is indicated at the bottom of the menu that this is 10% of the receipt.
Very tasty Imeretian khachapuri, try it!

These guys are the best! We went here three times during the trip and it was always incredibly delicious. Real Georgian cuisine, fast service, waiter girls help with the choice. Trout stuffed with suluguni, delight! I've never seen one like it anywhere. Khinkali are standard, the minimum portion is 10 pieces, for two it's best to take a salad of cucumbers, tomatoes with nuts. The veal was also on top. In general, an authentic, simple place in terms of interior, for those who want classic Georgian cuisine!

Great cuisine, great atmosphere!
I have visited this place more than once with friends and family. The restaurant is modest and inconspicuous, but I advise guests of Georgia to definitely visit it! You won't regret it for sure.
But there is one very unpleasant moment: at the end of July 2024, the owners banned the use of a Russian-language menu in the restaurant. It 's a shame 🫤

We found an institution based on reviews on the Internet, pleasant staff, delicious food. The design of the place looks like an innkeeper, not a restaurant, the menu is in a file, but the cuisine is delicious. The staff speaks Russian, good service, we didn't wait for food for a long time. We ordered trout stuffed with suluguni and walnuts, and brought a whole fish generously stuffed. It is very tasty and unusual. We took a veal kebab, tender, not fatty meat. And pork ojahuri, the pork was fat. But as I understand it, all pork dishes in Georgia are fatty. Plus lemonade and beer to order. It cost all 64 lari. They were found, because the portions were good.

It's a wonderful place.
And the price is acceptable. They cook quickly and tasty, as they say from under the knife. We tried almost all the menus. It was advised by local residents when they walked near the Mother Georgia monument. They asked where to eat, but to be tasty and inexpensive. The grandmother, who sells flowers, said that for 30-49 GEL you will eat up to the mouthful there.

This is the perfect and best home-made khinkal in the center of Tbilisi. We come here for lunch every trip.
1. Khinkali is delicious, fragrant, but the order is 20 pieces. I'm waiting for two.
2. Kebab and khachipuri in Adjarian at the highest level.
3. The salad is cool. It is coarsely cut, as is customary in Georgia. We definitely take it with nuts.

Based on the excellent rating, we chose this place to enjoy Georgian cuisine. Everything was cooked very quickly. When we saw what was brought to us, we were delighted with how appetizing everything looked. I wanted to try it as soon as possible, we were anticipating the taste of Georgian spices. But... unfortunately, of all that was on our table, only Natakhtari lemonade can be called delicious... We ordered ojahuri with chicken. The chicken was fat, the potatoes were fat. No trace of Georgian spices. It was very salty. We ordered "Georgian bread" from the menu, which turned out to be yesterday's hard pita bread. The pork kebab turned out to be ordinary meat fried in a frying pan. The smell was disgusting, the meat was not chewed. In general, if you want to try real Georgian cuisine, then you definitely are not here. There was only lemonade from Georgian.

A very local, authentic Georgian place. Delicious food. I didn't like the kebab very much, a lot of fat, and the rest of the dishes are amazing: red wine, eggplant with garlic, khinkali is super. The service is very pleasant! The women are very good, they work there and smile at everyone, the friendliness is maximum. The prices are absolutely adequate for the amount of food we ordered. All the days spent in Tbilisi, we had dinner at this place. In particular, we were here during the May "events". There are a lot of locals and tourists, the atmosphere is very friendly. A great place, not only tourists eat here, but also locals! A democratic cafe in the very center, everything is clean, attentive and fast service. The menu is varied, the food is very tasty!!! I was here in 2015 and in 2023 - I was satisfied both times. Khinkali are canonical, they sell from 10 pieces. The salad with nuts is perfect and the portion is large, and costs about 10 lari. It took about 15 minutes from the order to the delivery, and this is with a full landing at lunchtime. I think it's one of the best cafes where we ate.

Honestly, I fell for 5 stars on Yandex, but this is the worst place out of 7 visited khinkals and restaurants in Tbilisi, with the worst khinkals. These hinkals have the smallest amount of meat than anywhere else.
The salad is completely dry and looks, to put it mildly, not presentable, as if it was spat back out.
An eggplant snack, completely dry - well, very bad.
Do not repeat my mistakes, there are many good establishments in Tbilisi and this is neither it, nor wasting time, money and your mood.

The place is often sold out: a queue of people on the street, sweating waiters. For me, going to a restaurant/cafe means sitting slowly, drinking wine, eating, talking, drinking coffee. Unfortunately, it's hard to do this here because you can see firsthand the queue of people and how the waiters are running around the hall hurriedly delivering orders. There was a terrible smell of bleach and something not particularly edible from the doorway.
Perhaps it was we who "got" at the wrong time ... and on another day / hour everything is OK in terms of smells, but my appetite strayed 100% right from the threshold. I wanted to leave this institution immediately, but my family asked me to give them a "chance" because the reviews on the Internet were very good.
As a result, we took a Georgian salad (tomatoes were not edible, Kakheti oil was not felt at all) and khinkali from beef (the dough was not bad, there was little filling).
There is no interior, it looks like a standard eatery, the service is terrible (plates are not put on, but thrown on the table)…
I will not come to this institution anymore.
Khinkali was very tasty in Tsiskvili - the service there is excellent and clean and delicious.
Therefore, whoever chooses a place to "eat khinkali" - I recommend another place.

It's always busy, so if you come to lunch or dinner, you'll have to wait until a table is available. You can sit down without waiting in line at 4-5 o'clock.

A table for dinner was booked a couple of hours in advance. I liked the cuisine and gave gastronomical pleasure, as well as homemade wine. I definitely recommend you to visit.
