The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. The construction of the temple as a Uniate church is connected with the invitation of the Basilian monks to the place. The stone church at the monastery was designed by architect Alexander Osikevich in 1747-53. The interior design was carried out until 1770 by the best craftsmen from Vilnius and Minsk. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Basilian school was one of the most attractive for learning. However, after the suppression of the national liberation uprising of 1830-31, the Russian authorities took the complex from the Uniates and handed it over to the Moscow church. In 1922, the authorities of interwar Poland handed over the church to Catholics. The temple was not closed even in Soviet times. In the 1990s, the church was restored. Among the interiors, the main altar and the altar with the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Borun stand out. On October 12, 2024, he was solemnly crowned with episcopal crowns.
The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul and the Basilian Monastery!!!! It is impossible to convey all the impressions and delights of this architectural complex, built in the style of the Vilna Baroque!!!! You must definitely go yourself ...see...to touch :)))
A beautiful church, it looks especially good on an autumn background with its delicate color. The manastyr building is closed and is being destroyed, but in general it does not spoil the impression.
